  1. Not come across a decent raid since LOTRO's Rift (part of the old Shadows of Angmar game). There were no "hard modes", no easy versions. Just a very well put together multi-boss raid that enticed you in with a couple of straight forward boss encounters and that got progressively ever more difficult. Even after the the Moria and SOM releases and two level cap increase, the final boss (Thaurlach) was still very hard.
  2. The end game is not strong enough to justify it. People would be buying it and then complaining that they've missed the USP of TOR - the story. Only game that this could work is WoW, where the game is pretty much end-game focused anyway. The fact that Blizzard have not implemented shows they must know something. Finally, anyone who played AoC and who rolled an instant 55 will know what a pain it was having to learn the class and run quests in Tortage to get gear etc.
  3. /signed. LOTRO has a pretty good implementation as a standard feature.
  4. Certainly target auto forwarding, as there is in lotro would be very useful.
  5. [quote=PaulyTheHut;6561351... And while an add-on like Healbot would make healing easier, it would all be a wash when you consider the re-tuning required for doing instances with your typical WoW loadout of add-ons. . On my main MMO (LOTRO) I've played & raided as a minstrel and have never used a healing add-in. I also play a priest in WoW and because of add-ons I got sucked into using Healbot. Terrible mistake. Got far too used to it and as a result it made me dependent on the add-on in order to perform in a dungeon or raid. This is why TOR is such a breath of fresh air - everyone is on a level playing field and the focus is on making the best of the UI. So agree - let's keep TOR add-on free.
  6. On my SSD sits 4 MMOs - WoW, SWTOR, LOTRO and Eve. Lotro has always been the worse of the performers. The engine just cannot take the textures. For raids, in particular pvp raids the graphics get dropped down to minimum in order to reduce movement lag. As a comparison the others are fine - have never had to change settings, even raids. Best visuals for an MMO has to be The Secret World, with Eve a close second.
  7. On my lvl 24 Shadow Tank alt I use Qyzen but in his dps stance. With some on-level gear he puts out great dps and has some nice aoe moves. Well worth a try.
  8. Perhaps someone should give the devs a nudge to try The Secret World. Handing in quests via a mobile phone call.. whatever next!
  9. Not disagreeing with you, but the difference is that the advanced classes share a common class story. Hence why there is this ongoing need for some to confuse the talent respeccing with "ac respeccing". Now if Bioware had not cut corners and made the class stories branch for each AC then I suspect these requests would not be so prevalent.
  10. Natasha Little aka the female Sith Warrior is just fantastic. Eloquence & menace in equal measures Then again I've always liked her since she first appeared in "This Life" back in the mid 90s.
  11. What you've just described above is already catered for in Eve which is a fantastic game. Apologies if this has been mentioned before - only read the first post.
  12. 4th December here. Would be nice to get some time in on the 18th.
