  1. And they're off!! Prophets of Doom and Gloom...there they are!! -----> points at this thread. Give...me...a...break. *hands out tinfoil hats to all those that think they're psychic* hehehe
  2. Er?? Give your head a shake, what on earth gave you that idea?
  3. EA's Origin is not emailing us the codes til tomorrow, well tomorrow is their day to do maintenance, hopefully everything goes well, because I am also expecting that tomorrow will be the day I finally get an invite for the Early Access. Six hours of maintenance from midnight to 6 am pacific time. Then that shuts down and the roll-out e-mail invites begin, ..and sometime in all that Origins is supposed to give me my code. It will be interesting to see if all of this goes off without a hitch. I'll update on these occurences, because right now, I am doubting this will work. hehehe
  4. Maybe they hadn't received complaints about Walmart? Perhaps more people complained about Amazon? I personally don't shop at Walmart. Don't like them. But that's me.
  5. Preorder is separate. Currently I have a pre-order but no access to my digital game. Not sure how to explain this. The five dollars reserves your copy..supposedly the money for the rest of it doesn't come out til release day, but I keep hearing that some are paid in full right off the bat, depending which retailer you are dealing with. Pre-order reserves your copy. Be it boxed or digital. Nothing comes bundled with that except some free play time, and some little virtual bauble that is included I think? And the free time ..could probably be anything that the Publisher/Developper decide to give, or not give. Could be virtual items only..depends on the game company. The 30 days comes with the actual game, once you have the key code put in and have assigned what payment plan you want to use. Then the first 30 FREE days (starting the 20th of this month) kicks in. I think that's how it all works, if it's not right someone will correct me....hehe
  6. THen it's time to talk to Wal-mart about that isn't it? I don't understand why the game company is blamed when obviously it's the retailer ..mucking up. I see this all the time, it's like the equation gets broken somehow. Wal-mart can do no wrong? hehehe
  7. I criticize where needed, only..I tend to be more polite about it, and direct attention to the area that needs to be repaired/upgraded/whatever. I don't think being rude is an effective tool, rather the reverse. I also believe that when people have been working their tails off on as massive a project as SWTOR is..that credit be given where credit is due. Whip that mule!! Whip that mule!! Is not the way to get things done...and is not the way to promote good relations between you and the person/business you are attempting to "inspire" to your way of thinking.
  8. Hehe I just had visions of a sponge nerf bat..behind the counter rofl! Too funny.
  9. Having worked in customer services for MANY years, the customer is NOT always right, specifically those that enter a business, and proceed to have an all out tantrum in front of their peers. Specifically those who are verbally abusive and treat customer service reps, abysmally. I have seen quite a number of people like that posting here over the past few days. The "Entitled" ...by that they think they can say, do anything to the person providing the service and get away with it because they are the paying customer. I have news, when in my store, we were informed by the boss that we didn't have to put up with those sort of shenanigans, AT ALL. When I worked as customer service for medical insurance, we were told we could give three warnings to allow them to calm down and speak normally. There ARE consequences for behaviours like that, despite what people believe. So the next time you visit a restaurant or a store, just be aware..in alot of cases they have the right to refuse you service and have you escorted from the premises. They do after all have a business to run and other ..more sane customers to take care of. I would say if people continue to abuse Bioware in spite of all the well meaning attempts to repair things..where and when they happen...that the same thing should happen to them..ban them from the forums, kick their behinds out...they are not worthy either. That's my two Canadian copper pennies.
  10. If you are an Origins customer..that might be why. I seem to remember that happening before, the key was attached directly to my account. Hmmmm thanks for reminding me..I am going to go look. lol
  11. No Bioware won't delete your progress or your characters. You just won't be able to access your account til you put in your payment details in and your code too.
  12. Should have but couldn't, didn't know up until last weekend whether I was going to have to sit this one out..or would be able to purchase. Xmas came early for me, thankfully..so here I am. I have no complaints other than I am bit worried about that Origins application, that's where I pre-ordered from, hopefully someone takes a look at it to make sure it's functioning, and spits out those keycodes when it should. Only because I saw someone post that Origins had cancelled her pre-order on her without her knowledge, and was still going to charge her for the cancelled product. But then again I tend to worry over details...
  13. And THIS is the response Bioware gets for jumping to and attempting to fix things to please their fans. More sourness and self congratulations about being a "rusty squeaky wheel". If you don't like Bioware and are not willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, on this their LARGEST UNDERTAKING EVER.....then please go away and go verbally abuse some other gaming company. You are not worthy.
  14. ROFL!! Don't enlighten him..let him think he won the jackpot. hehehe
  15. That's pretty much all I was seeing on these forums last night. People don't read, people don't listen..it's all about them and what they want. Nothing else penetrates.
  16. I approve of this post and hope that it is passed onto Bioware, I think they've had enough poo thrown at them..time for some pats on the back.
  17. Thank you Sir, I did have some concerns that Origin wasn't going to give me my code, as there seems to be some glitchiness with that application. There is currently a person who has posted on these forums asking for help, because she is stuck in limbo, the Origin application cancelled her pre-order on her, without her knowledge, evidently, but at the same time she can't get past that cancel, as it seems to be half done, incomplete. She also mentioned that in spite of the pre-order being partially cancelled, it looks like she is still going to be charged the full amount for a cancelled product. As I know that application has been in beta state, this is not a good time for it to fail your customers..near the SWTOR launch. I wonder if someone could check into it and make sure it is going to spit out the keycodes when it should. Only reason I mention it ..is I am an Origins customer and concerned that up to now I hadn't heard anything about my keycode. No acknowledgement of my pre-order...nothing. Granted I pre-ordered on December 10th ..but just the same that was due to not knowing if I could manage to afford the game, as it turns out I can. If someone would be so kind as to double check that all is functioning as it should be, that would greatly alleviate my anxiety. Thank you and looking forward to your game, I enjoyed my two brief beta stints immensely. Fera
  18. that's not what it's for. That five bucks reserves the game for you, so there is a copy for you when launch happens. Early Access is kind of an advertising gimmick to get you to preorder, the Early Access or for other games headstart, is given pretty much at the discretion of the makers of the game. I have seen as much as 15 days early/headstart, and as little as five. In Bioware's case it seems it was "up to five days" that wasn't a guarantee of five days. They also added two more onto that, for a week early access. But as they were doing the staggered additions to the servers, limiting how many they were processing per day, that was used up on those that preordered in July, August, I believe it was. Today should be for November, and maybe if we're lucky early December, but I am not holding my breath on that one. Friday is probably the day for the December preorders. I'll sure be glad when this is all done, and we can just get in and play. Too many people getting upset, misunderstanding..etc.
  19. LOL!! I see Im not the only one And I keep doing it, even now as I think I know I am getting in on Friday, still no e-mails confirming purchase and so on. I might have to go shout at Origins. hehe
