  1. Oh man, I'd kill (NPCs) to be able to rock one of those sweet high ranking Imperial uniforms.
  2. Debilitate is a stab with your electro-knife. No root though, yeah.
  3. Personally I find Diagnostic Scan to be pretty useless, even with the energy regen. Accordingly, I tend to ignore Crit rating, but that's just me.
  4. Possible, yes, but you'd be missing out on a fair bit of lore (and it'd probably be very annoying from a gameplay perspective since you'd be repeating Warzones/Flashpoints a lot). Side quests are often kinda lame in SWTOR, but they do fill out the details about what's going on in the planet. You'd also want to do the Voss Trials, since those have some foreshadowing about your class stuff.
  5. There actually are a few cut-scenes that take place in that hallway. No reason they couldn't be altered, of course (cost notwithstanding).
  6. You're expected to be able to beat an Elite the same level as you. You'll need to do so many times over the course of the game.
  7. It's the same way as any planet. Go to your Galactic Map and select Tython. If you haven't gotten your ship yet, then just take the shuttle back from Carrick Station. Same one you arrived on.
  8. Also happens on Hoth with some of the Talz Strong mobs. Commandos, I think it is.
  9. Personally I want more mini games. They spice things up and are good for a change of pace. That said, actual instructions for the Colicoid War Games is needed. I agree with you there.
  10. Yes, the Republic interact with him in their version of the Foundry level FP.
  11. Is it? Maybe I'm misunderstanding what's currently in for raid loot.
  12. The reason is so you can't just farm Boss #1 over and over for mods, thus gearing up all slots. That's why raid mods would have to be slot specific. Ie. a mod that can only go in chest pieces.
  13. I'd just have operation bosses drop one or more of each: 1. An unmodded new looking Orange 2. An awesome mod. Thus, you can slot your new stats anywhere, including your new raid gear if you so desire.
  14. No, I haven't (beta notwithstanding that I'll freely admit shouldn't count) . I'm considering speed only in terms of what I consider fun. So while I feel I solo awesomely as healer, it is indeed possible that I would solo even better as DPS. Perhaps healing needs a DPS buff?
  15. Having gone from level 10 to 43 (so far) as an Operative healer, I've found it I be fairly quick. I'm also nigh invincible thanks to being heals.
  16. Gearing up your companions is great fun. It makes a lot more mission rewards worthwhile (you might not need yet another Green wrist slot, but surely one of your six Companions could use an upgrade), and it's neat to see their swag get better over time. However, I feel the UI is clunky when it comes to this functionality. Very often, I'll get a Quest Reward pop-up that lists six items, but the tooltip comparison is unhelpfully comparing against companions (or myself) who cannot use them. Instead, I have to summon each companion in turn and then mouseover their specific reward to see how much of an upgrade it would be for them. If they're out on a 45 minute mission, then I have to wait until they return. I propose a tooltip comparison option that does the following, using my Agent (Cunning) as an example: 1. If an item requires Vector to use, then compare to only Vector, even if Vector is not my current companion. There's no point showing the comparison with Kaliyo's gear (or mine for that matter). 2. If an item is an Willpower item, then only compare with Vector, who is my only companion that should use it. Yes, my other Companions could also use it since it is Light Armour, but the game knows that Vector is my Willpower man. 3. If an item is Medium Armour with Cunning, then compare with myself and all my companions that are also Medium Arour users with Cunning as the main stat. I feel this can be made optional for those who prefer the old way, but I think it would greatly improve the UI for gearing up your loyal companions.
  17. I agree that the bonus series on most planets is underwhelming. It's a tough call, though. On one hand, you want enough normal quests to level for the next planet for those that do not like heroics/Flashpoints/warzones, and the bonus series ensures that. On the other hand, the plots tend to feel tacked on. It feels like when leveling on a planet you can do the normal quests, plus either: - The heroics - The Flashpoints - The bonus series So long as you do the first two, you can pretend the bonus series do not exist. Not a perfect solution, but there you go.
  18. That would be the bind point for the opposite faction.
  19. I agree we need more healers, but it is worth noting that, at least for my Medic Operative, I solo just fine (I admit boss fights are super boring as a healer, though).
  20. Lack of large scale battles with army vs army action. IE, Battle of Hoth.
  21. Very good post. My suggestion for an addition: Explain how you craft Orange (able to fully mod) gear.
