  1. It's a minor bug. On top of that, who reads and honours petitions? You ever think players' had their weekends ruined when they turned dbl xp on? No, it seems like dbl xp is all that matters. There are many players who level characters has their content, and prefer to stay within the normal constraints of their system. If we could opt-out, we'd have no problem. On top of that, how is getting a character from 1-50 instead of 55 a big deal? You still get dbl xp from other sources like GSF, Space missions, PVP, and quest just to name a few. Bottom line is the community has greatly over-exaggerated this bug. Just relax and either level or don't. No one cares.
  2. How is KDY not stale after a few runs? I look at this similar to how you described GSF. Same 5 scenarios and same 3 bosses all the time. Sure GSF may not be your style, but stating that players are willing to run the same FP over and over is one hell of a grind tbh.
  3. Guess other players do take these threads seriously.
  4. Going by that logic, KDY tends to suck if you don't get central armory, and cannon emplacements because they have the most mobs. Guess 90% of runs are BS and Bioware needs to fix the scenario to only grant those two? Please, everyone is still leveling twice as fast. If it's that much of a problem, don't play. If it isn't, level some other way, problem solved. Heck, I've explained it to other players everytime I've ran KDY. They had no idea so it can't have been noticed by very many to begin with.
  5. First off, why create another thread? There are like 3 others on this topic. Secondly, it has been addressed that mobs aren't granting double xp in KDY or at all in the rest. This will be fixed after this weekend. I can't help you on the last part, but I think you get the gist of what I'm trying to say.
  6. Anyone else actually take these threads seriously? Just checking.
  7. Seriously, this man actually makes some sense. I'd listen and just play. Be thankful double xp weekend didn't lead to no xp weekend. That would be much worse imo. Just because mobs are same xp as before makes very little difference.
  8. I highly doubt the cash shop means the game tanked. WOW has a cash shop which was implemented back during WotLK. That was the height of their subscriptions with about 12 million around that time. SWTOR could of had a cash shop implemented later even if the game didn't falter as it did. It's one of those things that we will never know.
  9. Tait uses Bug Report. All forum members that complain about a current bug are unable to post until Tait cases Patch Notes. Patch Notes detail future game content and crit all forum members by reducing their post count by 10. If their bug was not in the current set of fixes. They are unable to post until their bug is fixed in Tait's Patch Notes. If post count reaches 0, you can never use the forums again.
  10. Once the problem is admitted, the healing can begin.
  11. Lol, I actually thought of that sound before I clicked on the video just by reading your psot.
  12. If you live in the EST, you need to wait until 2pm.
  13. But how many MMOs have a cash shop at launch? Usually it's a feature implemented later. I'm not saying that no MMOs will have a cash shop until they're about to collapse, but it is kind of funny to hear one being announced for launch.
  14. It pretty much was. They didn't really have anything like dungeons or gear drops until towards the end during the NGE. The servers were so small that if you were an a-hole, the entire server pretty much knew, and avoided you like the plague. Their attempt towards the end to add themepark elements didn't pan out too well. So when they left and came here because it was "Star Wars", it was completely different for them. They were used to just sitting around chatting, grouping up for PVP (only world existed, no bgs), and role-playing in their houses. This obviously included decorating, forming guilds, crafting vendors, etc. It's one reason why anytime sandbox elements are suggested in these forums, they reference SWG as being the best with said feature. I don't see much point to any of this where I would suggest playing Minecraft to them, but I guess it isn't bothering anyone if they get their wish for this MMO. Seems like a lot want this feature even if some don't care for it/will never use it.
  15. It's a council fight. Musco, and Courtney accompany him.
  16. I really have no problem with what I said. I never cared for customization. Will it be removed? Of course not. I was just stating my opinion to add to the discussion. Was it perfect? Of course not. I actually like Reno's suggestion as to me it makes far more sense. What's wrong with accepting what was designed and implemented as a static progression system through gear? I mean the designers spent time designing the looks of multiple armour sets. It seems like a waste each tier to just drop the look, imo. I look at ideas like transmog as a way to give yourself a look because all your pieces don't match until you get the full set of gear from that tier. Vhaegrant, I respect your opinion. Your posts tend to be well thought-out and explain exactly where you are coming from. I can understand why the armour is there, but why not just put it on the CM if that's the direction the game is going? As I quoted Reno above, would that benefit players more? The shells exist in-game and are optional to purchase compared to the mods. Many players complain about the costs of swapping mods, augmenting, and some even want to use multiple looks on multiple sets of gear. By looking at your last sentence, that just means as long as it isn't current content, someone is capable of purchasing everything they need without running the previous raids. I enjoy progression, but I look at previous raids as skill progression. If you can handle the mechanics of earlier raids, you should be ready for the new ones. With the ability to purchase mods, you can actually eliminate this and struggle through various mechanics where the other raids were meant to ease you into through practice. These are just a few thoughts. Nothing more, nothing less.
  17. It isn't bad. It seems limited compared to the behemoth that is WOW. Let's be reasonable, Bioware has delivered on their promise. Patches are smaller, but content is obviously consumed much faster than it can be developed.
  18. Basically. I can't comment completely on end-game in SWTOR like I can for WOW. Can you pop mods out of the armour and RE them in order to craft them? If possible, now it just became a "buy the gear to be best" instead of playing and earning the mods through said OPs.
