  1. I have been playing pvp in this game since launch. I am not the best player, some matches I do better than everyone else. Some matches I get my butt kicked... it happens. But I always give it my best shot. Lately I have been in some solo ranked matches where the other 3 are buddies and for whatever reason the vote kicked me out. I guess they thought I sucked?? And they did it after we had already played the first 2 matches and were on the last match.

    This should not be allowed! Not only did it waste my time having played all that for nothing, I also couldn't relog into another warzone for a while after that AND it significantly lowered my Solo ranking!!! And yes I have 248 gear with Augments.

     

    Give me a break!

  2. Please give us the option to have an icon on our bar so we can quickly pull out our favorite companion so we don't have to look through the long list every time they get put away for no reason. New area... pull out again, after a warzone.... pull out again....seems like every time I turn around I have to keep pulling my companion back out....

    and that entails clicking a button, then clicking another thing, then looking through a long list of companions …..I mean come on, lets just make it easy and fast already!!!:cool:

  3. I think the UC exchange limit should be removed, but the cost escalation should remain.

     

    I don't think there should be either!... I mean if someone is sitting on tons of Unassembled components the simple fact is THEY EARNED THEM!

    But ofcourse they have no problem with someone being able to quickly buy them with credits because they more than likely made real money off of that person, but then we will also be rewarding those who got away with billions in that last cheat the game fiasco.

  4. They said the fastest way to get the new gear is to run MM gods and be a crafter. The second fastest way will be to buy it on GTN. That's what they said, the devs, last night, in their stream.

    I suggest you rewatch the stream and stop spreading misleading information in order to defend a travesti of a gearing system.

    I can't say i am surprised that you are in a thread that doesn't concern you, trying to lie about it and say things like 'early assumptions' xDDDDDDDDD.

     

    So in other words... Those who PVE and do the Nightmare mode raid will not only get the gear first so that they can go into the PVP warzones and SLAUGHTER the PVP'ers on their own turf, but they will ALSO be taking ALL THE MONEY from those very same PVP'ers as they sell their stuff on the GTN.

    Sounds like a load of crap to me! I guess PVP'ers are indeed getting the shaft! :mad:

  5. PvP for PvP sake? You know.. for the fun and sport of PvP.

     

    Yes, I love pvp'ing. But there is no getting away from the simple fact that most people will not continue to do so without a carrot.... something they can continue to EARN or GET for their efforts and time. I mean if you do well in the game... what good is it if there is nothing earned? Nothing to work for? pvp'ing without a carrot gets old and people stop doing it.

  6. So I want to start by saying I love this game. I have played it since launch. And in this game what keeps calling me to stay is the pvp. But it is a constant battle. Its true that just when it seems they get pvp almost perfect they do something to it that seems to nearly ruin it as they did in a recent patch...

    Since that patch pvp is no longer about the objective and is all about simply a killfest. As if it wasn't bad enough trying to get someone to stay at the turret or pylon and guard. Not to mention the groups are so much more Un-even than ever.

     

    BUT, besides all this the one thing that really makes pvp suck so bad that I almost want to give it up is the elitist jerks who are constantly calling others garbage because they messed up or because they just are not good enough (in their opinion).

     

    And why is this an issue?... I mean if someone sucks isn't it justified to say so?.... NO

     

    I am talking specifically about unranked warzones and we could even throw solo ranked in the mix as well. In these warzones you take the risk and agree by entering to go into the match not knowing who your teammate will be. This means deal with it, since you knew in advance it was a coin toss.

     

    Now if you want the right to say something you might find it in a group ranked match since then you made the choice to group with someone and they may not fulfill what you know they are capable of, but when its a coin toss and you agree to it.... you forfeit your right to judge.

     

    So anyway, when you call out someone and say something negative about them what really happens? What good comes of it? Nothing. You ruin another persons game (which by the way you have no knowledge of their effort or abilities... they could be very handicapped for all you know)

    ….and you hurt the queue pop. Because there is a good chance they will stop queueing for pvp and so might the other person who see's the toxic people of pvp.

     

     

    Disclaimer: I am not saying all pvp'ers are toxic.... There are good ones who help the fallen team member to get back up. Who hold their fingers back from typing that toxic remark. Who even vote for the guy who isn't in their elitist click.

  7. This fricken ticks me off. I mean hello.... real PVP'ers are subscribers.

    We are already broke as they barely give us opportunity to make much money in game and now we are going to be super broke having to buy our fricken gear for ungodly amounts on the GTN or at least the schematics to make em…..

    AND we are sure to get slaughtered in our own territory by PVE'ers who have the gear first.

  8. The PVPer in me hates this change and thinks it is basically a pay-to-win system in disguise. The new mats will be rare enough to be super expensive which will also mean each crafted gear piece will be very expensive. I would not be surprised if full purchased BiS exceeds 100,000,000. Most players can't afford that and so many will buy from the CM and flip for credits, which is likely what Bioware intends with this change.

     

    The crafter in me loves it. My daily income will probably jump from single digit millions per day to double digits.

     

    Crafter greed aside, it's a bad system and will favor players who either have a lot of credits to burn or who are willing to pay real money to achieve full BiS.

     

    I agree. Not to mention you will have PVE'ers going in and slaughtering PVP'ers in their own territory, while the PVP'ers just get more and more broke!.... This is not going to go well.

  9. Sorc survivability often comes down to positioning and kiting. I play a Lightning Sorc, which is a little more mobile than madness.

     

    (LoS = line of sight objects)

    (Kiting = moving around those to keep your attackers out of reach or so they can’t get a lock on you. Basically making them chase you)

     

    You need to have pretty good situational awareness of where all the Los objects are in you vicinity and have escape routes planned. Never stop moving.

     

    You need to work out what you role or game plan is for the map. Sorcs are support classes cause they don’t do enough dps. Being one of those classes means every map can change the role the Sorc plays.

     

    Here are some examples -

    Hutt Ball : Sorcs are good off heals, good for slowing the enemy, good for pulls and good for quick sprints with the ball.

    Yavin : Sorcs aren’t the best guards in the world, but they can delay cappers or hold up a bunch of people. Their speed allows them to rotate quickly between nodes to offer back up.

    Hypergates : Sorcs can excel in this map. There is lots of Los (if you don’t get caught in the open). The name of the game is don’t die, get orbs and don’t let your team mates die. (This is one of my favourite maps on my Sorcs)

     

    Ok, I digress, but it’s all relevant because Sorc survivability comes down to what role you are trying to play and how much Los you have around.

     

    You will never win a stand up fight with any other dps class (unless they are bad). So you have to out think them and wear them down.

     

    To stay alive long enough, you have Speed, unnatural preservation, resurgence, expunge and static barrier that can all be used on the run. These are your bread and butter. You also have dark heal to use when you get a chance. Sometimes you will need to stun or cc and then heal yourself right in front of your attacker. Only do this if you make them use their cc break before cc’ing them and then you can heal and scoot before they come out of it.

     

    You do have phase walk and Force Barrier too. Phase walk will let you get out of dodge. But remember they can see where you go, so make sure you have some Los between you and them and you are at max range of you phase walk before you activate it. Then you can heal to full with dark heal.

    Force Barrier is neither here nor there for me. It’s an antifocus for a tiny window. It won’t save you, it will just delay them killing you. Don’t ever expect it to be the “god” bubble people say it is. A smart enemy will hard swap to another target and wait till it ends and then stun you and kill you. This is why I don’t ever let it run out. I always act before it’s finished as it’s a small chance of escape.

    Utility choices can be really important to your survival. I mainly use these ones :

     

    Skillful

     

    ** Sith Defiance - Increases damage reduction by 3%.

     

    ** Empty Body - Increases all healing received by 5%. Does not affect stolen life.

     

    Masterful (there are a few here to chose from, depending on your play style and what you are mostly facing)

     

    ** Dark Resilience - Reduces the damage taken by the target of your Extrication by 25% for 6 seconds. Additionally increases the healing done by Unnatural Preservation by 30%. (I take this for the 30% increased heal, not the extrication) ** This is a really important one to take. Always take this one.

     

    ** Suppression - Activating Cloud Mind grants Suppression, which increases damage reduction by 25% for 6 seconds.

    (Can add some extra damage reduction if you are a more defensive player)

     

    ** Corrupted Flesh - Reduces the damage taken from all periodic effects by 15%. (This can be good if you find every match there are heaps of dot specs about. Otherwise don’t bother)

     

    ** Conspiring Force Targets affected by your Affliction are slowed by 30% for its duration. (This is a more aggressive one to take. You can use it to slow attackers chasing you or slow those trying to escape you). I take this one most of the time.

     

    Heroic (I would only use these)

     

    ** Emersion - Force Speed grants Emersion, removing all movement impairing effects and granting immunity to them for the duration. (This is a must for kiting)

     

    ** Backlash - Static Barriers you place on yourself erupt in a flash of light when they end, blinding up to 8 nearby enemies for 3 seconds. This effect breaks from direct damage. (People say this is a cheesy utility, but it’s great having an extra stun) I always take this because you can reapply static barrier as Force Barrier drops. Then escape when they hit you.

     

    ** Haunted Dreams - If your Whirlwind breaks early from damage, the target is stunned for 2 seconds. In addition, Whirlwind activates instantly. (This is defensive, but can be used aggressively too. Lots of people take this)

     

    Legendary

     

    ** Force Mobility - Thundering Blast, Innervate, and Force Leach may be activated while moving. (Allows you to stay mobile. Staying still is a good way to die as a Sorc)

     

    ** Unnatural Vigor - Unnatural Preservation increases your damage reduction by 15% for 6 seconds. Additionally, reduces the cooldown of Unnatural Preservation by 5 seconds. (This one ties in with the earlier utility Dark Resilience)

     

    All of those utilities I use will keep you alive if you don’t panic. Unnatural preservation to heal you and can be used every 25secs with these choices and reduces damage by 15% for 6 secs each time.

    Keep static barrier up at all times. It lasts for 30secs and has a 20sec reapply window.

    I have both natural preservation and static barrier bound to my mouse thumb buttons. I basically spam them both every 20secs while I’m moving. It can eat into your dps output, but its situational and depends on your role and map or if you are being focused.

    I may not always have the highest dps compared to another sorc, but I will always have higher self healing and I’m a pain to kill. Most of the time they give up and I can go back to damage.

     

    Anyway, that’s my take on staying alive. I know others with a more aggressive play style might suggest other methods to get higher dps as well.

  10. Ok, so I wanted to come on here and whine about how the Sorc's die waaaaay too fast. However, instead I just want to ask what tips or advice you guys have to actually stay alive. No matter what I do I just die and die and die again. Thanks!
  11. ok, negative Nancy. But besides your negative opinion... which is all your comments amount to since there are already plenty of other gear sets in the game that according to your assessment shouldn't be.... your case is mute.

     

    SO, I am no doubt sure that many players would be interested in having at least some part of this gear set, if not the set in its entirety. If you don't want it, don't wear it.

    The set is already created in game, so there is no reason not to add it to the list of wearables.

  12. With all due respect there should be no clipping issues.... it is a droid. Droid armor does not have the same issues as if it was wearable over flesh. Droid armor has been wearable by characters for some time now so shouldn't be an issue. And as far as the concept art... yes I know its concept art, but it is very close to the HEAVY Sky Trooper droids also already in game which is why I posted it.... it is almost exact.

    There is no doubt if they put this armor in the game they would make a fortune from sales and tons of people would love it.... and definitely NOT just for the chest piece. Tons of people from many classes would pay huge money for the leggings alone!

    Its just too bad that people on forums are always so quick to be negative and against ideas rather than open minded.... (not referring to the last post person, just a sad observation in general)

  13. Bioware could make a small fortune selling the Sky Trooper Armor sets they already have in game. I am sure there are a lot of people who would LOVE those awesome Beefy Trooper outfits.....PLEASE!!! :)

  14. This would solve the PvP queue issues. As well as other issues due to the subscriber stuff. Black Desert and other games are doing well with no subscription. Plus the game is almost 8 years old....still $15 a month?....really?

    I know there is technically a FTP model in this game, but the way it is set up it actually hurts the game by gimping the Queue numbers in major content.

  15. Due to inflation in the game. Especially the Cartel Market, the subscriber bonus is a joke now. All I hear from people is how they can find ways to get where they need so they can unsub and still play. I mean when I get the subscriber cartel coins I look at the market and its like..... uh.... I guess I could get a ???.... Everything is way more expensive than I can afford. Shouldn't the perk for Subscribing be a bit more of a perk?
  16. I still enjoy PvP in this game even though it is worse now. it seems its just a kill fest now with VERY uneven teams. For some reason people do not care about the objective anymore. I was on a team that killed every enemy at the turret, but then rather than get the turret the 6 of them just ran off to get kills. I am seeing more of this for sure.
