The simple answer is this: Without expertise people with endgame raid gear would smear people without equal gear. BW is unwilling to reward raid gear for pvp, as most raiders would **** goats if they did. As a result, expertise was implemented to prevent raiders from crushing pvpers in pvp. It has nothing to do with progression or anything else.

Don't waste your time with these people Andrew. Most have no idea what they're talking about, the rest are mad about not getting a free kill anymore. Regardless, it's mostly a cry more issue; especially considering the ranged **** fest brought by 2.7 in conjunction with rage/focus nerf.

So much qq in this thread combined with people who have no earthly clue what they're talking about. This is the first time that DPS jugg/guards have had any semblance of balance since....well launch. Ranged got huge buffs and rage got a huge nerf. Queue for a wz and tell me what class you see significantly more of. I'll give you a big hint: sorcs. Additionally, quesh is ranged heaven. DPS juggs/guards aren't free kills anymore....CMN.

Pretty much. Full power/surge mods with one or two that include crit. Crit from the stat itself suffers heavy dr, but from main stat it does not. As a result a small amount of crit on your mods is good. Although the actual difference is so insignificant it won't likely make much of a difference.

Amen. The population took a nose dive after the NGE but slowly picked back up again for awhile until near the very end around the time of the mass server merges. Nothing will beat those AH vs Bestine battle Pre-CU, but some of the non-stop 24-36 hr battle over the static GCW bases were epic too. And as far as the community went: I have yet to find another MMO that can remotely come close to what was in SWG. My guild has split up between numerous games, but we still chill in TS together and/or play together. Hell I've known pistols since 2005. Taught me everything I know about RPing a light side Jedi. Learn it? It's just something that's blatantly obvious. Go look at the PTS and this forum for examples. When you've got people saying that jugg tanks are the best rated tank and that PTs have no control utility, it's kinda hard to miss.

All the crazy bads are coming out of the wood works lately. I've seen everything from statements that 14-16k smashes are easy to achieve, to jugg tanks being the best rated tanks. I just don't know what kind of swtor they're playing....but it ain't this one.

No. Healing sages are garbage. The only time they perform ok is when left to free cast in regs by bads. Aside from that sage healers are stupidly easy to shut down and lolnuke. You won't see them in group ranked.

Yea its a pretty complex game and very unforgiving.....which is putting it nicely. I loved reading about that war though because I know those corps. Its especially tough to get into as an American though. So many ruskies.
