  1. don't know about Ringtones but there are 3 action figures Shay Vizla Darth Malgus Republic Trooper i have all 3 and they are really well made. I just looked on Amazon and they are selling for around $200 mint in box which really makes me sad I didn't buy a few extra. But you can get them lose on Ebay for a lot cheaper. There is also a bunch of lego old republic stuff as well.
  2. that might be the dumbest video i have seen. Ok China is not into Star Wars. So they never got the Original Trilogy over there. They did get the Prequels but TPM only made around 4 million... So now China's first introduction into Star Wars is Episode 9 which was heavily promoted but only manged around 128 million. (I have to check but currently Boxofficemojo is down) That is consdiered a failure in current China. For reference Transformers Age of Extinction did 320 million which is double what it made in the US So they tried again with Rogue 1 and that did about 60 million. Again heavy promotion and they sent Donny Yen and Wen Jiang to promote it. So Episode 8 comes out with less promotion and goes up against one of the biggest movies in China... yeah it doesn't do well. It wasn't expected to. So lets quick take a look at what happend. You have a large country completely unaware of Star Wars and their first introduction to it is the 7th movie in a series and they have 0 frame of refernece. Next they try Rogue one thinking this might be easier since its not one of the Saga films... but remember most people haven't seen A New Hope... so they have no idea about any of this. The Death Star, Darth Vader, the Rebels. For all they know its supposed to be a sequel to The Force Awakens but it doesn't have any of the characters from it. Honestly if you had no knowledge on Star Wars and your first introduction is Rogue One you will be confused. So now what are the odds Episode 8 will do better? Slim to none. Hence the reason it was released a MONTH after every other place in the World.
  3. TLJ won't hurt the franchise at all, The Han Solo movie on the other hand... well that's hard to say. I love every actor in it, however they have fired 2 directors, Ron Howard is on it now, and we have yet to see a single piece of footage and its set to release in 4 months. Think about that we saw TFA, Rogue 1, and TLJ trailers all 1 year before they released. Yet we dont' even have any set photos for The Han Solo movie. Also the Fin and Rose subplot was not useless it was kind of a really important part of the movie.
  4. Palpatine didn't get the yellow eyes till he electrocuted himself
  5. yup, i'm working on a video about this now. It's now the 11th most successful film of all time soon to be Number 10. I'm really excited for Episode 9 and Rain's new trilogy
  6. i'll bite how is a woman slapping someone even feminist? Also can you give some examples of "femenist BS " in video games?
  7. ... are you serious? like you don't understand the concept of admiring when you are wrong? I told you I misread the article and admitted it.
  8. oh man I don't know how I missed this gem from you.... more proof that you don't read your own links. Neither of those sources say 1. That most women aren't feminists. Both of the polls show a majority consider themselves feminists 2. That most people disagree with feminism. Both of those polls show that a majority of women believe in feminist values. The only person I have seen who's worse at reading his own source is Sargon of Akkad. You watch a lot of Sargon of Akkad don't you?
  9. You got me there he did say that, I admit I missread the wiki article I thought that was Howard saying that about Lucas. I admit I was wrong. This is a Goal Post Shift. You have now changed it from not as high budget to not as much advertising even though i showed you there was MORE then enough advertising and enough expectations that they put it in MORE theaters then 5 of the last 6 star wars films Tell me how did The Tale of Despereaux make 98 million world wide (50 million domestically) with even fewer ads then The Clone Wars, no name recogination, fewer theaters, and 0 movie ties, toys, comics? Answer this 1 question. If they didn't expect it to so well... why did they put it in more theaters then The Phantom Meance, Attack of the Clones, A New Hope, Return of the Jedi or Empire Strikes back? If they expected to only make slightly more then its budget back why release it in so many theaters and raise the cost so much?
  10. it's amazing how desperate you are to win after insulting didn't work you are now trying to goal post shift to say that 35 domesitcally after a 90 day run in the 2nd most amount of theaters of Any star wars film released to that date with heavy advertising including McDonalds, new toy line and even a F1 car is some how a huge success for them because it made more then the budget. Ignoring of course the fact that same year movies in fewer theaters such as The Tale of Despereaux made Trippe the amount of money The Clone Wars made. haha Beavis and Butt-Head Do America was released in fewer theaters had a budget of just 12 million and still managed to Double what The Clone Wars made. yeah i don't take any of that back. Why would I? I was Navy Nuke who taught AP Physics btw not just Physics for 5 years. You are intellectually dishonest and lack basic reading comprehension skills. Here are just 2 examples. you looked at the Wookipeida page for Clone Wars, saw the theatrical trailer at the top... and then claimed there was no such trailer. That's intellectual dishonesty. You linked to wikipeida claimed that Kamikaze's were effective because of Pearl Harbor with out understanding that only 1 pilot was a Kamikaze. That's lack of reading comprehension. then there is just the willfully ignorant statements like that one had me laughing. I mean the absolute ignorance of such a statement is just astounding. but please tell me how misspelling words on the Star Wars The Old Republic MMO game forums.... means I can't teach Physics or operate a nuclear reactor.
  11. You literally quoted me telling you there were cinematic trailers as well as TV spots..... But again... you DON"T READ YOUR OWN SOURCES!! At the TOP of the WOOKIPEDIA PAGE YOU LINKED IS ONE OF THE SEVERAL THEATRICAL TRAILERS] So here are a FEW of the cinematic trailers AND one of the TV spots https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aICP_n8lRq4 As I just established you did not prove the movie wasn't heavily advertised in fact you did the exact opposite by complaing there was no trailer yet linking to a site that HAD THE THEATRCIAL TRAILER so i guess no one knew about that movie. .... George Lucas NEVER SAID THAT
  12. Yes i agree with you, the Wikipedia page He linked to and the quote HE used said it was from 2006. I should have done my due diligence and checked the source for my self. but it doesn't change the fact that The Clone Wars was heavily advertised just not with the people who had advertised the other films. He claimed there were no trailers yet links direclty to the theatrical trailer. They also had a complete toy line with midnight launch at Toys R Us (which he claims i guess star wars fans don't like toys) As well as a full 18 toy McDonalds line with 30 second TV spots. and in the previous page i list all the other promtions like a sponsered F1 car and so on.
  13. how did I debunk my own claim? are you claiming that a Pepsi Spokesperson through shade changes the fact it wasn't heavily advertised? omg..... yes... i have said all of those things. I never disagreed that Lucasfilm didn't go with them. The point still stands it was heavily ADVERTISED. I'm sorry i don't understand why you think not partnering with Burger King, Kellogs or Pepsi but Advertising with McDondalds some how means it wasn't advertised?
  14. thank you for this. You just proved you have lost the argument and have resorted to sad personal attacks. Concession accepted and to be clear here... you think that how some one types on the SWTOR message boards indicates what profession they have been in? it's hilarious how hard you are trolling, don't respond to the fact you claimed there wasn't a theatrical trailer when i linked 2 and your own source had one at the top of the page... or the fact that you don't know what intellectual dishonesty is. Nope keep coming at me for spelling hahaha
  15. you honestly can't be this ignorant....... Yes as I said they didn't enter in a conract with Burger King, Pepsi, or Kellogs Ok so we are on the same page here. You are now saying that it WAS heavily advertised just that it was done quickly? Because rushing out the advertising doesn't mean it wasn't heaivly advertised. BTW I suggest you read the actual article. no again it means that Pepsi was never contacted. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/01/business/media/01adco.html?_r=1&oref=slogin
  16. and you got it wrong EVERY SINGLE TIME 2006 INTERVIEW.. The MOVIE CAME OUT IN 2008 so yeah... in 2006 there was no advertising.... why would there be? The first trailer for TFA dropped 1 year before release and that was a huge deal it was that early. your lack of basic reading comprehension is astounding.
  17. pssst guess what? I don't care about spelling on the SWTOR forums. Also what do you think people write in the navy? No seriously do you think we write a book on our feelings on the sub all day? Like i said you don't have to take my word you can google how a nuclear weapon works yourself. No one is stopping you from learning.
  18. So aside from being Intellectually dishonest, you don't read your own sources and you lack basic reading comprehension. let's take a look at this statement you read and quoted Your first comment about this section was .... is that what you think it says? No where in that entire article does it talk or even hint at it was barely advertised. The section you quote talks about how they didn't go with some of the previous advertisers such as Pepsi, Burger King and Kellogs and then quotes a person from Pepsi that he was unaware of the Movie. That just means Lucasfilm never contacted those companies. It doesn't mean it wasn't heaviily adveristed which you WOULD KNOW IF YOU READ THE ARTICLE. What's really crazy is that you stopped that quote half way through the paragraph ignoring the fact the toyline had a midnight release at Toys R Us and more importantly that McDonalds had a whole 18 piece Happy Meal line, that line even had full 30 second ads on Televsion in the US and in Europe. McDonalds being the largest fast food company in the world is a HUGE step up from Burger King. Then I tell you there was a lot of advertisng and LIST all the other major advertising iN THE ARTICLE YOU PROVIDED. you're resopne is ***??? Lucasfilm NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THE ADVERTISING LET ALONE THERE WAS VERY LITTLE. You just completely made that up. Hell you even highlighted in the same post that it was a Pepsi spokeswoman and not a Lucasfilm employee.... this is just pathetic. I'm gonna try this again because you lack basic reading comprehension. Budget... does not equal Box office success. No i didn't you just lack the ability to comprehend the answer You literally quoted me telling you there were cinematic trailers as well as TV spots..... But again... you DON"T READ YOUR OWN SOURCES!! At the TOP of the WOOKIPEDIA PAGE YOU LINKED IS ONE OF THE SEVERAL THEATRICAL TRAILERS] So here are a FEW of the cinematic trailers AND one of the TV spots https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aICP_n8lRq4 As I just establsihed you did not prove the movie wasn't heavily advertised in fact you did the exact opposite by complaing there was no trailer yet linking to a site that HAD THE THEATRCIAL TRAILER so i guess no one knew about that movie. btw you know TLJ didn't have a Superbowl ad ..... Star Wars Fans do... .... that's not what intellectual dishonesty means.... oh.. i should have realized you don't understand what Intellectual dishonesty means... half of these post are me correcting you on your own sources that you link.
  19. avoid Troy Denning at all costs.. his books are just awful Aaron Allston is good espeically his X-wing stuff, Wratih Squadron is my favorite The Bane Trilogy is also amazing, one of my all time favorite Star Wars stories. of course there is also Timothy Zahn I would suggest checking out Allegiance and Scoundrels by him.
  20. From your OWN SOURCE. You are Intellectually Dishonest 1. an entire TOYLINE WITH A Midnight Release of Toys at Toys R US 2. Happy Meal Toys 3. Several Tie In books 4. Comics 5. Lego line 6. Sound Track 7. OPEN TOP CAR INDY RACE CAR DRIVEN BY Marco Andretti!!!!! ***???? 8. A Clone Wars MP3 PLAYER! And you have the balls to say "there wasn't much advertising? Seriously shove off with your intellectual dishonesty. concession accepted we are done here. edit: 9. Clone Wars Trading Cards for the Movie released in July 2008 http://www.potomacdist.com/images/nons/infoscan/swcwmbi2.jpg
  21. I don't know what to say to you at this point, i mean if you aren't even going to take the time to read YOUR OWN SOURCES. What can I say? again 8.5 mill is the price PER 30 MIN EPISODE. Perhaps you should try reading. the 30 million is including the 6 Million dollar advertising. but you don't read YOUR OWN SOURCES... so what can I say? So you know what i'll say it doesn't matter let's say it only cost $5 to make. Because the budget doesn't matter. and you say I was straw manning. Production budget is not equal to return. The entire business model of Blum house is built on this. Look at the list of most profitable movies of all time. Paranormal Activity had a budget of $450k and made over 89 Million. According to you that is impossible. This is NOT an argument you want to make. Now first you are claiming it wasn't heavlly advertised.... ok excpet it was, we are talking about heavy trailers as well as 6 different TV spots. In fact The Clone Wars was in 3,452 THEATERS FOR 3 MONTHS!!. Only 4 Star Wars movies have been in more theaters, Episode 3, 7, 8 and Rogue One are the only Star Wars movies that were in more theaters. That even puts it in the top 100 most widely released Animated films of ALL TIME. It's number 93. There are only 93 other animated movies that have been in more Theaters. But you are still going to try to claim it wasn't heavily advertised and they were happy with 38 million....... That/'s why they put it in MORE Theaters then Episode 1 or 2..... and kept it there for 3 months.... Hell the 3D version release of The Phantom Meance did better... oh hey there we go for you another example of Star Wars not carrying a movie. The 3D release of TPM was such a huge failure they candled ALL the plans to re release all the movies in 3D. hmmmm But you know what I"m sure you gonna claim that there wasn't any tie in so here is a video of the McDonalds Happy Meal toys for Star Wars the Clone Wars in 2008.. Are you still gonna try to say it wasn't heavily advertised? ... yeah you probably will.
  22. Saw this video today about why people don't like TLJ version of luke.
  23. niewłaściwe forum. niewłaściwy język
  24. ..... that's not how anything works.... Again.. the argument is The Last Jedi is only making 1 Billion dollars is because Star Wars is such a strong brand that it can make any movie no matter how bad it is a huge hit if it has Star Wars attached to it. Now if you don't agree with that statement then fine and you can move on. But as I showed Star Wars the Clone Wars was a huge disappointment. It was under-performing not just for a Star Wars movie but for an animated movie. I don't want to put words in your mouth but are you actually trying to claim that movies can only make more money if they spend more money making it? Because that might be the dumbest statement i have ever heard. oh and one more thing the Clone Wars didn't cost 8 million, that is an estimate based on the average cost per episode of the series. Seeing as that was the pilot the actual cost is closer 30 million
  25. the clone is.... ok for me it's the Naming convention. Instead of just calling it "the Clone Of Luke" espcially since since he doesn't show up to the end they add in the extra U which is just dumb. What is the though processes for that? We don't name Twins the same name and add an extra vowel. I don't remember how they deal with it in the Audio book though On an unrelated note here is my favorite of the dumb EU stuff http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Irek_Ismaren Scroll down to see his awesome light saber armor
