  4. What is this spec trying to accomplish? Free sweeps that do little damage? A chance to reset Master Strike off of only one ability? A %10 heal on a two minute cooldown that uses two talent points? There has never been, and most certainly not now, a hybrid DPS spec for Guardians. Go Focus spec.
  5. Yes full tank gear, yes lots of Endurance, yes full tank spec. You can check my itemization in my sig and I provided a quick rundown in this thread regarding my choices in itemization and stats. Regarding spec? Depends on the warzone. Here's my general all purpose build. - Provides a lot of focus by reducing the CD and providing a higher outcome of sundering slash, in addition to defiance which just feeds your bar. Swelling winds allows you to sweep more often which helps you spread AoE debuffs faster. Generic Huttball Build - Features Shien form to stance dance into to get Unremitting on leap. Stagger to root people in hazards longer. Huttball alternative spec - For Huttball where there is more than one tank. Picked up Expeditious Protector to guard other ball carrying tanks. Alternative all purpose build - Expeditious Protector is sometimes nice to have as it reduces the in combat reduction in speed.
  6. Gonna try and answer a bunch of things here. Hopefully I can put some of your answers to rest without raising anymore questions. So, first off, congratulations, you've chosen the hardest PvP tank in the game to play. Why? To remain effective, you must remain active. Vanguards and Shadows can generally just guard swap and taunt off cooldown and be good. Their defensive CD's aren't the beastmode ones we have. On the other hand, they make up for that by having an easier time of it. 1) I've theory crafted it out, and using a Prototype Fortitude Stim and I'll be sitting at just over 39k health. To achieve this you'll need to A) get all the datacrons (obv) B) Augment for Fortitude C) use the higher endurance tanking Mods and Enhancements (Advanced Elusive Mod 28BX and Advanced Steadfast Enhancement 28X). Why hitpoints? Pretty simple reason. Guardian Leap heal (taken from two piece Vindicator Bonus), Enure, Enure + WZ Medpac, Focused Defense, Enure + Focused Defense, Enure + Guardian Leap heal all benefit directly from %'s of health. The more health you have, the more you heal yourself for. I'm currently sitting at just around 38.6k hitpoints. So long as you have a healthpool that makes DPS think twice about everything you're doing, you're doing it right. 2) Yes, Defense. We're still Defense tanks. Stack the Elusive Mod 28BX and Steadfast Enhancement 28X throughout your gear. All spots. Everywhere. Then, on one piece of gear, use a Resilient Mod 28BX and a Vigilant Enhancement 28X. This should put you at just over 16% defense chance, and turn the rest of your spare rating into absorb. Why 16%? Because were you to fully min max using Elusive Mods and Steadfast Enhancements, you'd never make it to 17%. So the remaining stat points got turned into absorb. Why defense? Defense mitigates an incoming attack entirely. Take your 16% defense, doesn't seem like a whole lot. Throw in Blade Barricade, now its 21%. Throw in your accuracy debuff from smash, now its a 26% defense chance. Throw in a relic proc and it'll go even higher. That's still one in four, or more likely, one in five incoming attacks that are being reduced to zero. Why not just stack shield and absorb since they effect Force and Tech attacks after 2.0? It's true, they do. But Guardians/Juggs don't have the huge percentile increases to those stats that the other two tanks have. Not to mention our DR curves are a bit more strict in that sense. (per Keyboardninja's graphing) Most importantly, no matter what, Shield will never trigger against a critical hit. It is a defensive stat that will never trigger when you need it the most. But, Defense will. 3. Endurance, endurance, endurance. I've seen posts of people who crank everything into their defensive stats, and augment for their defensive stats. In effect, they're cranking their defensive stats so far into the diminishing return curve they're gaining nothing. Endurance is still the best stat. It has no diminishing return, it gains percentile healing from all of your abilities, as well as a percentile increase due to buff. Endurance. End of line. 4. Can't help you there. I run full PvP gear, full expertise. I do not have any intention of abusing the bolster system as it is in its current state. I believe wholeheartedly that BW will continue to "fix" bolster and all those who have done the flavor of the week stat gain through the bugged bolster will find themselves at a severe disadvantage. Since they prevented tank guardians from getting unremitting (with the new Battlefield Command talent would be ludicrous) I still think there should be an addendum to the top tier saber reflect talent allowing for the reflections of any and all states. A) Would only be available to Tank Guardians B) Would function basically as a five second unremitting without the associated DR. C) 1 Minute CD. But I can dream.

  15. Would like to see some corroboration on this Sshot. According to the Sshot, there were only 6 of you in a team for a long drawn out Civil War, but there was eight on the other team. In addition, Naltharon is in your raid frame, but also shows up on the scoreboard as on the other team. In addition, your protection is rather impressive against a team that had only two damage dealers.

  17. Dear Mrs. Fallenturtle. Little Johnny is so full of spunk and delight, he knows how to make the other kids giggle. However, he has an independent streak that prevents him from making friends and playing with them. For some reason, he's also developed a bit of a superiority complex for being all alone. This has led to some confrontations on the playground. In one such incident, and completely unprovoked I might add, he started calling names at a group of four. Criticizing a guild in their own thread about what may or may not happen while waiting for ranked WZ's to pop, especially when that guild is the only one willing to queue up on a regular basis and keep queueing like champs, AND when they have the balls to post their schedule for the server to see, is chickens h i t. Boohoohoo, nobody cares about how bad your reg warzone experience was.

  21. Let me guess, first MMO? To grant you some perspective, in WoW you can queue a full premade as in 10/10 players, 15/15 players or 40/40 players for a warzone. In old school SWG you could grief people in PvP to the point it would take them an hour to get their character able to PvP again, not to mention, trash their armor and weapons which were un-repairable in the sense you've come to expect from MMOs. PvP isn't about hugging it out, PvP is about clubbing the other team over the head until they stop moving. If you can't deal with it, don't queue.
