  1. Your hilt/barrel adds to your Force/Tech Power so it matters alot for bonus damage/healing. Keeping aggro on a Guardian is hard enough already throw in a tionese mainhand and a group of bh+ geared players into your group and you are gonna struggle. Your mainhand hilt/barrel and offhand hilt/barrel/armoring (for non-dual wielders) is your most important slot on any of your gear so push to get them BIS before the rest is my advice.

People have been telling Bioware since Nightmare Pilgrim was released that they need to instance these world bosses but they havent listened, if they had instanced it they could control the amount of times a player can kill him in a certain period, multiple groups could kill him at the same times avoiding unnecessary griefing, and no-one could interfere with the fight while not being grouped in that instance. So lots of solutions would be brought in if they instanced them yet they dont and havent so dont hold out much hope of them doing something about this.

I would never dream of pugging TFB until its in groupfinder but even then roll on mats means they all go to the same person which is pretty ridiculous if u ask me, we only do guild runs and we share out mats equally and roll for leftovers. Thanks for bringing this to my attention though, more people to add to my ignore list
  4. Really? As it is now? If you have enough credits you can get yourself into full 63 gear without ever having to earn it through the top tier content. Bioware made a huge mess up with regards to reverse engineering player made items and if they do the same for the next tier gear I think it just goes to show how clueless they really are.
  5. The other tanks are shadows/vanguards? Yes they dont have the same woe's as a guardian for keeping threat which is why they dont have to spam taunt. The guardian is the hardest tank to play to keep aggro its as simple as that, you want tips for keeping aggro then spam taunt if you dont u will lose aggro there is no other way around it until bioware fix the guardian tank class in some way or allows a better hybrid such as the Shadow that gives the mitigation a tank needs in ops plus the damage to keep threat.

I am not forgetting that at all but you can get 6 focus every min for free (plus easy to generate focus through sunder) and overhead slash is so far up the vigilance (dps) tree that you may as well be dps cos your mitigation sucks and I feel for any healer who has to heal a guardian tank specced that high up a dps tree.
  7. How about adding in Hilt Strike to your rotation (generates a high amount of threat) and if specced to top of tank tree guardian slash (again generates high amount of threat). I have had discussions about Guardian threat and people tell me they struggle I ask if they specced into hilt strike they tell me no, they have gone for more dps skills. No wonder they struggle. You will never match a dps on damage so why even bother trying. I do spec master strike to hit big that might help. You may need to keep your single taunt for mechanics but if you know its coming you can time it right and it will have passed its cooldown, nothing to say you cant spam taunt same goes for your aoe taunt as long as you dont pull aggro from the other tank on the other boss Also I wonder why your force sweep is at the end of your rotation, if specced correctly it ads 3 stacks of sunder armor, use sunder to get the extra 2 (if specced) hit him with guardian slash (smart aoe) and threat generated should be enough till you restart rotation. All of the above works for me and I dont lose aggro ever. It is still alot easier to hold aggro on a shadow and vanguard though but thats because they are easier to play, guardian is probably the most difficult tank to master in this game.
  8. These missions will be repeatable (boring), incredibly challenging (still on rails but more baddies to shoot, boring), and reward players who enjoy the current Space Missions (no-one?). Our goal is to make these missions worthy of the most skilled players, and completing them, along with their Bonus Objectives, should test the greatest pilots (pilots fly, this is to test the best turret gunners). To help in this endeavor, players will also be able to get new upgrades for their ship, attainable through various means like trade skills and specialty vendors. The rewards for these missions will also be increased, and hopefully provide new motivations for players who want to improve their gear for use in Flashpoints and Operations (what does space have to do with these?). As we’ve stated in the past, quality of life is always one of our focuses for dedicated players in Star Wars: The Old Republic (really? prove it), so there will also be a number of improvements players can look forward to. For instance, a number of our missions will perform better on lower-end machines. We’ll also be adding one of our favorite changes: a missile and torpedo counter that literally reflects how much ammunition you have remaining (wow, this is your facourite change? oh dear god). Oh, and did we mention it might be necessary to fire more than one proton torpedo in some of these missions? (oh noes...) We look forward to getting all of your feedback and reactions to the new missions (really? you havent listened since BETA), and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do (no i wont even try them cos they are still on the rails for crying out loud).
  9. Considering they have taken 12 days, 2 patches later since the issue was brought to their attention and still no fix I wouldnt expect it to be resolved soon. Maybe they will leave it a year before fixing just like they have with the BBB Matrix Cube, but at least this is on the known issues.

  11. Double XP may help you but it doesnt help me and probably many others who are no longer levelling alts and are at legacy 50. I really dont see the need for compensation, I am on The Red Eclipse, I havent been in a queue since launch, my game doesnt crash, server crashed last night but was up again within 30 mins, no issue.
  12. It would make more sense to post your stats not your percentages. For instance how many Willpower datacrons have you got? How many alts have you unlocked with human chars for the presence bonus? Without checking my char I can tell you now I have higher numbers for my heals for the simple reason I dont stack any alacrity whatsoever, I stack crit/surge/power in its place. I dont understand why you are trying to compare with these as there are so many factors that affect these numbers, you need to compare gear and main stats not percentages

  14. We dont want Bioware to add Voice Chat cos their servers can't handle what they currently have on them so adding this would slow them down even more. No thanks. Why dont you install TeamSpeak or Mumble and use that instead like most others do.
  15. The people complaining should learn to switch instances. I switched to almost empty instances both times i went into the outlaws den and shock horror no ganking/griefing/pvp whatsoever. You are not forced to do anything. If YOU WANT the companion then you must complete the mission once but if you dont like going into a pvp area for 1 min or 2 to get the first part (which is legacy bound so u could buy for all your alts) then dont get the companion. HK-51 is not necessary (infact I would say he is pretty useless for anyone at 50) and not having him as a companion will not affect your gameplay in the slightest.
  16. I will gladly provide a full set of 26 armorings and mods to a new f2p 50 and tell them to go do lost island hm with a pug, you think they will get through that? Or even KP HM, NiM, EC HM, EC NiM, TFB HM? Skill is required for top level gear grinds and as such they can pay for the ability to wear the gear that doesnt make them skillful enough to compete. Get a grip. P2W would be if the Cartel Market sold the BM/War Hero/Tionese/Columi/Rakata/BH/Campaign/Dread Guard/Hazmat, you see any of that on the Cartel Market?
  17. So gear makes u a good player? The reason people are failing is probably due to the fact this is the first instance they come accross which actually requires some competence behind the pixels of the characters and unfortunately the majority of those columi players would not have seen any mechanics like the ones in this flashpoint. Not only do you have to have competence but the rest of the team does also. I have done this in a full tionese/columi team and it wasnt that hard but then again we have all done this fp alot with our mains. The current difficulty is fine but it takes tactics and competency and I believe thats why they failed.
  18. Your tanks are not taunting quick enough. Tank needs to taunt when kephess is casting on the other tank not before and not after or you will be one shotted.
  19. As the PTS is unavailable they have probably removed the button until it is live again. So yes mine is missing and I cannot change to the Public Test Environment.
  20. Funny how people blame crashing and dc's on the server. They should look closer to home like your crappy ISP, your crappy computer or your crappy operating system (XP & Vista users I am looking at you!). Game has never crashed and I have never been disconnected.
  21. I would suggest you get started on the romance before Balmorra... I would assume however you could keep kira locked on your ship till you hit 50, spam her with comp gifts and you could start the romance
  22. As a healer I can tell you I would prefer you to take less damage than take more damge but have more HP for me to heal to. For example you could have 30k HP with 0 mitigation but your healer still has a max heal of roughly 6k, at least if you have 25k and half of the damage is absorbed your healer can get you back to full health easily, imagine what your 30k HP would be at after a few hits without your mitigation? You think your healer could get you back upto 30k? I think not. If you have a healer that you guard reqularly ask him if he would prefer you to have loads of HP and less damage mitigation or to have slightly less HP with more damage mitigation? If he knows what he is doing I would suggest he would want you to stack def/shield/absorb augs over endurance augs.
  23. Ok so for PVP I would still advise you to stay away from Fortitude augments as stated there is no mitigation on that additional health and doesnt help your healer. If you add def/shield/absorb the damage you take is mitigated and making it easier on your healer.

There is a common misconception that tanks dont need to damage, yes tanks have threat increased but you still need to hit and damage the enemy to generate threat which is why power has been added to those augments. I would suggest a tank does not use Fortitude as the extra endurance isnt gonna help in the long run, def, shield and absorb at least have some mitigation but the additional health gained from the fortitude augment has no mitigation.
  25. That is not correct, there is a default price for all items but its generally alot lower than the item should be listed for. Best to search for the item or similar and price accordingly.
