  1. Anyone who thinks this is a waste of talent points must not PvP...
  2. At lvl 28 my sage can hold off most high lvl players (1 on 1) for as long as needed. Some I can kill after a pretty long time, others I eventually just stun and run. I only get crushed by 50's who have all their burst CDs ready, which is pretty fair since I have incredible survivability in 1 v 1 fights. Any time there are two players against me I can often escape, if just barely, but don't have much chance of actually killing either one of them. A skilled lvl 20 player has a better chance of killing me than an average lvl 50. This all seems to indicate a pretty even balance. I can understand the frustration in the players that work their butts off to kill me, only to have me use CC and LOS to heal to full and continue to work down their health, but it takes me almost as long to kill them even if they aren't healing. If the complaint is specifically about lvl 50 healers survivability being OP, well, there are just as many complaints about the "glass cannon" classes burst damage output being OP. This is how it should be, no? High level players who know how to use their class should have an advantage. As a lower level player who (likes to think he) has figured out how to use a sage in pvp I still stand a chance in MOST circumstances vs those players, but they SHOULD have an advantage when the deck is stacked in their favor in a fight. TLDR: lvl 28 does fine vs 50's except when burst dmg classes use all their abilities, which are meant to kill me fast.
  3. As I'm usually the leading healer in my Huttball, there is a clear dichotomy between wins and losses. In wins I stand away from the combat, unmolested, and heal the crap out of everybody; or I run around with the ballcarrier and healbot them while the enemy tries to outdamage my heals. In losses the enemy focuses on me FIRST, then the targets of my heals. Pretty simple, just like OP said. Kill the healers first, win the match. ...damn...why did I just tell people that...?
  4. What do you mean by "system?" The mechanics? The warzones? Open world PvP? The readily available open-world action in SWG was what I loved about it. The city layout, and the mechanics which drew players into the cities, such as buf dancers, were all conducive to both small-scale skirmishes and full out massive battles. With everybody leveling or trying alts it is FAR too early to judge the open-world content in TOR. I really enjoy the warzones though. As a heal-specced Sage I find healing is actually rewarding and fun.
  5. SWG was one of the best gaming experiences I've had precisely because of the open world PvP. There were small skirmishes all over the place, and the city layout plus social mechanics (like dancing buffers in cantinas) drew players into their factional cities leading to large-scale battles. I've been searching for a similar thrill ever since the nge...
  6. Congrats OP. This is one of the most epic trolls I've ever seen. Perfect use of provocative labels (Ultimate Gaming Rig!) that will bait the noobs. Intentionally leaving out necessary components (no CPU?) was an especially nice touch. Finally, genius use of the always incendiary "Best Buy/Geek Squad told me so because I don't know myself!!!" Well played sir, well played.
