  1. I say Tank Assassin, but obviously I mean both faction specs. But with that said, what counters these annoying buggers? It seems like my most frustrating matches are from lots of them more so than any other class.
  2. Could we possibly get the Red Reaper either removed from the random daily que reward list, or added to the mission reward for Emerging Conflicts V? It seems like every day I have to run two non-HM sub-50 FPs on my characters, one with all selected to get my 5 daily and another with Red Reaper crossed out because for some reason the game seems to love send 50s to Red Reaper in full Columi or better gear.
  3. Hey guys, old player back with a question. Before I was Pyrotech, I noticed the nerfs to it and the buffs to AP and figured I'd try AP. So far I like it, but I was wondering if Shield Tech was also still strong? Basically I'm asking, are all 3 of our specs good at PvP currently? Do we still have various hybrid builds?
  4. It seems pretty clear to me that they just don't want people using a certain stance for a certain spec, it would be like a Pyro build where you use High Energy for Powertechs. People are bringing up other hybrids, but generally you simply do not change stances with almost any build as every single tree has talents to accentuate using one specific stance. I'm not going to say it was needed or even urgent, but I'm fairly certain that's the reasoning on why them and not others.
  5. A good point, also a point I would like to make on healers is they are far from equal. A BH can keep up a very strong stream of strong heals, barring interruption and what not, without bringing his heat up too high. A Sorc can just toss heals all day until their force finally runs out, combined with mobility, shield, knockback and quite a bit of CC makes them a real challenge. Operatives? Well, our DoTs can out heal auto attacks I guess. And if I need to burst heal I can drop 3 casted heals and uh, be out of energy unless I pop a 2 minute cooldown.
  6. Honestly, their defensive talents in the healing tree are a bit nuts. When that shield is up you will not kill a commando, even ignoring the damage reduction of the ability itself. When talented it makes all heals on them quite a large amount stronger and prevents any sort of push back or interrupts. Actually, do stuns and knockbacks still work?
  7. You could be seeing so much more if you didn't need to click abilities however. It lets you constantly look in any direction needed, and not have to keyboard turn which is possibly the biggest mistake you can make in MMO PvP.
  8. Couldn't imagine playing Rift without my binds, that game just piles on abilities. But nothing was as crazy as Vanguard for that. But I digress, binds work best when you utilize the keyboard rather then modifiers. That is to say, I use QEZXV and all my mouse buttons along with ALT variations for the second horizontal bar. It's all very simple, easy to remember and hit.
  9. I'm all about objectives, and I regularly complete many objectives while still getting around 6-8 medals on average per match as DPS spec. While I agree medals should be given based more on objectives done then winning or a set amount of damage or kills, I hardly think the current system prevents doing objectives AND getting medals.
  10. I agree 100%. I had a Huttball earlier where literally my entire team was not even trying, except to give the ball carrier charge targets to let them score faster. Every time I had the ball, which was every time our team had it since I kept killing the flag carrier all alone, I would get to the first ramp and die because my entire team was off somewhere else. Where is MY reward for that match if not in my medals? Or even worse, what about the game's habit of giving you in progress matches where it's a 3-cap Alderaan half way finished? No chance of winning that, might as well just leave since your reward will be NOTHING. People don't need incentive to win, they need to stop being horrible.
  11. True I was just kind of eye-balling it, looking at bars when missiles hit compared to the other DPS abilities and all that. Why this game didn't come with a combat log is beyond me. Then again, it also has no group matchmaking so I guess they just flat out forget a lot of things.
  12. Honestly if anyone should be upset, it should be the Mercs for being given such a stupidly effective 2 button rotation. Last instance I was in had an Arsenal Merc just spam tracer missiles until his heat maxed out, and he was keeping up in DPS with our other DPS.
  13. I'm not going to pretend to have a solution, I really don't. But I can see the problem, a problem that really does need a solution.
  14. And? It is for all intents and purposes punishing random players because the people before them failed miserably and quit halfway through. I'm all kinds of empathetic, but that's some crap.
  15. Stunning is only an option if I have a stun with the same range as Grapple, most people don't. Or they have one, which odds are will be on cooldown because you used it to get to the goal line in the first place. The waiting for the force field to close thing only works if he's sitting in his own spawn like an idiot, if he's smart he can creep along the top wall and avoid all but the longest range attacks. And of course I can always pass to a friendly, and while the ball gently sails through the air he can grab him instead.
