  1. It seems pretty easy to hit all the DR caps for crit, alac, and surge with rakata gear + some miscellaneous mods, no? Phrased differently, I dont know what to stack anymore.
  2. Id like to point out that most of the problems we have are not QA problems. The ones that are are the ones that happen on patch day (eg, ILUM IS BORKED) But the ones that have been around since beta? (eg Soa's missing platforms or WZ wins not counting) Theyre on the Project Management. QA has reported them. Beta testers reported them. End users reported them. Project Management told the devs to work on something else.
  3. OP, Let me start by saying, I feel your pain. We have been trying to work through 16m EV NMM this week for the first time, and the bugs are maddeningly frustrating. We had to stop Tuesday because we got the "last wheel needs 1 turn, locks up" bug on pylons, then we couldnt seem to reset the instance, no matter what we tried, so we went to bed. Last night SOAs problems plagued us. Missing platforms, the new dropping agro, the new "destroy the pylons on his way down doesnt reduce his super nuke charge" etc etc. Next, let me state that I am a professional software developer. I have worked on a large client server system which is periodically and fairly frequently updated, which is in many ways similar to an MMO system, for the past decade. That said, I really do not think the problem is the QA department. The testers have found these bugs. They are glaringly obvious, easy to reproduce, and occur frequently. Moreover, they have been reported by umpteen end users. The development team is aware of these bugs. The bugs arent being fixed in a timely manner due to business decisions. That is, Project Management is prioritizing what should be worked on, and when. These bugs that are plaguing us, in the minds of the project managers, are either too costly or dont generate enough of a potential revenue loss to warrant fixing right now. TL;DR - testers are not idiots, these bugs have been reported, other things are "more important" to work on in the business manager's judgement.

  5. This encounter is so horribly buggy. If you cant fix it, just make it optional already.

  10. Right. As a DPS Sorc Ive been wanting to swap out these level 25 (58 rating) + End/Pow/Alac enhancements for level 25 (58 rating) +End/Pow/Surg enhancements. Thing is, they dont seem to exist. Or if they do, its a random drop from Gharj (and/or the twins?) Very lame.
  11. Well I think what I described was a high burst spec. I just called it "crit monkey." So if you think that makes a good PvP spec as well, then, yes, we are in agreement.
  12. A fair point, but I think its alot harder to make Lightning a "great" PvP spec. Madness is so great because there are so many instants. Even on FL, which is channeled, the first tick is instant. Perhaps if they buf lightning enough so it does more damage than madness when the caster is left alone, but madness does more when on the run or being molested, lightning will be "viable" for PvP. Madness/hybrid will, imo, probably still be the spec of choice for hard core pvpers though.

  16. Agreed Really, every op boss should drop a plethora of hilts, armors, mods, and enhancements (and specs for these things.) Right now, your entire guild gets like 4 a week.

  18. Lightning needs two fixes: 1. Thundering blast should NOT be autocrit. Instead, it should have a much, much higher base damage. (Being auto crit basically means all of the stats you put into crit mean nothing for this ability. Bad.) 2. Lightning strike should benefit from reverberating force. Done, thats it. Makes it a viable crit monkey PvE turret, as it was meant to be.
  19. A big problem with alacrity is that it is on many end game gear pieces (BM and Rakata) for classes for which it may be significantly sub-optimal. For example, Madness/Balance or Hybrid DPS Sorc/Sages use one channeled ability and 4 instants. Alacrity sucks for this. However, Rakata Force Master gear has tons of it. And there is almost no way to find the proper level 25 enchantments to swap with (I think 1-2 enhancements of any sort drop in EV KP. Getting the one(s) you need is extremely unlikely.) The solution is not to delete alacrity or something extreme like that. Its to make Champ, Columni, BM, and Rakata Gear more easily moddable!
  20. Hey, that sounds like a decent solution, thanks for putting it so nicely. Too bad this thread was about reporting a bug, and asking if anyone had experienced the same, not an open invitation for everyone to comment on how we run our raids. We like the master loot format. We want to use it. You dont? Great, dont use it. EDIT: Mnn.. Just to be clear: Really, no sarcasm, thanks for the idea. We'll give it a try.
  21. This is a poor solution, as there is a very short time frame for need/greed rolls.
