  1. /ignore them. Then you won't be bothered by it the next time.
  2. One of the things I find that makes the planets seem sterile is the lack of gravity difference between them. I mean, Nar Shaada is a moon, shouldn't we be leaping 20 feet vert? And Tattooine is so massive, wouldn't the gravity there be higher? But then again in the films we never see a gravity difference; but this is due to the prohibitive cost of filming extra terrestrially, and not necessarily by any fault of Mr. lucas.
  3. You sell things on the GTN? My server is full of peeps and I've posted 1000+ things on that mofo since before launch, and I've probably sold about %10 of what I've had, whether i used the default price, did research and priced it accordingly, (Which often turns out to be less than the default price), or tried to sell it for 100 credits just to get rid of it. The problem is people just don't want to buy on this thing if they can't run up to it and type "Robe of Ages" or wahtever and just get those things listed. Play on a larger server perhaps? I play on protfive, which has around 300 people on emp fleet all the time, and about 150 on republic feet is the lowest i've seen. They just need to fix the market in general so people will use it. I dropped cybertech the other day and put all my mats up for sale at %20 lower than posted price...How many did I sell? 1 Stack of 5 phobium or whatever. got 49 items back int he mail. This is pretty much what happens every time I use the GTN. It sucks, nobody uses it, and it's just because of it's sheer user unfriendliness that this happens.
  4. Oh yeah, after episode 33 where he gets the Bieber Fever and has to have his mole removed, as it's developing melanoma. It's very intense.
  5. Because you don't NEED them to play the game. You might to get a faster loading time during loading screens. If it bothers you, read a book while it loads, or if that's not your fancy, turn on the TV and watch for a few minutes. I have an incredibly low end computer and sometimes my loading screens can take more than 10 minutes, but I can still play.
  6. LoL! I played SWG when it was just tattooine, no mounts or anything. Just a ball of dirt and you run around and you LOVE YOUR STAR WARS. Then they gave us mounts and OMG we were so glad when they made it where the shuttles that take you from place to place were put on a 10 minute cycle instead of the 15 minutes wait cycle you had for planet-to-planet travel. NOW THAT WAS SWEET. And when I did get my mount, I put up with having to stare at the ground in order to move anywhere for six months. QUESTS? Who needs 'em? Get a random generated block of text from a static mission terminal that tells you to kill a certain amount of somethings and then DO IT AGAIN UNTIL THE DAY THE UNIVERSE COLLAPSES IN UPON ITSELF. Don't worry Bioware, I'll stick around. This game is friggin' sweet, sorry EA's greedy *** made you release it early. PS: I'd tell you to ignore the whiny little kids who don't know what steaming piles the games of yesteryear were and what we had to put up with but it seems like you know how to do that already.
  7. Oh noes! More downtime! For four hours? Whatever shall I do? Read, exercise, work, play? Nah, I'll just go whine on the forums. That'll teach 'em.
  8. I was doing some research on this, the amount of energy needed to stop even a tiny ship (something with a mass as low as 45 kilotons) coming out of hyperspace with an inertial dampener would be over the mass of two hundred (Sol-type) suns. Are these people just flying around destroying the universe all willy-nilly? I think not. Preposterous! Harumph.
  9. War accelerates technology; Peace causes it to rot.
  10. Yeah, but god damn, this isn't the movies, it's a video game. I mean, if you were watching Roadhouse and they played that stupid *** redneck song on the radio, do you assume everyoen else in the world just listens to that style of music?
  11. Lol, he's a man, not a god. I for one cannot wait until I die.
  12. Maybe the technology has changed; but why hasn't the music? Our music in one nation changes more in one year than the entire galaxies has apparently changed in 3000.
  13. All kidding aside, after RoTJ he really was in a horrible car accident and the long recovery made him miss out on any subsequent roles he could have gotten. It's a shame, really. If you watch the Christmas Special you can see him right after the reconstructive surgery where he looks like a pink-faced little girl, and Carey Fisher coked up to her eyeballs.
  14. Ok, there's a couple things wrong with this statement beyond it's inherent stupidity. If there were similarities between Mark Hamil and Justin Bieber, (and I'm not saying there are), youi'd have to say that Justin looks like Mark, since Mark is about 40 years older than him. Also, you may be too young to remember this, but Mark Hammil was killed in a car accident between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. All the rest of the film and concurrent work done by "Mark Hammil" is in reality done by the twin brother of the late man, Mank Hammil. Any "Mark Hammil" you see in any film or television credit after 1980 is just a typo.
  15. This game was released before it was ready, due tothe publishers pressure to meet a holiday release date. Excessive patching is going to be absolutely necessary at least until March, which was the release date the dev team was aiming for. If I were really as unsatisfied as you seem to be, I would just unsub, and resub in march/april. You'd be a much happier campier, as I suspect patches will have stabilized somewhat by then. Until then, I'd suggest find a hobby. Like haberdashery.
  16. Actually it'd only be inexcusable if they were just taking it down and not patching anything. But they're patching stuff. So there's the excuse.
  17. Hrm Let's see then... 15.99 A Month 15.99/30 .53 per day .53/24 hours per day .022 cents/hour .022 cents/hour x (4) hours you'd get a little under a penny back.
  18. OK, i rolled repub. my toons name is weirdbeard, i'm on tython. BTW also, they've only gone over the time they've said it would take once and all the other downtimes have come under the estimated time, if that helps.
  19. Well, damnit, you just pissed all over my incivility earlier. Nah, I'm in the same boat you are, I can't play on illum either, but I don't feel a pressing need to play this game or any other 24/7 (hell it's hard for me to stay on this one more than an hour a day) so I guess maintence/downtime doesn't really effect me as much as it does you. What server you on? Let's roll some nubs together and lay some waste to a starter planet before it goes down. Whatcha say?
  20. Obviously you are guilty of the very thing you are accusing me of. I'm sorry if you can't go a precious four hours without playing on your spaceman, and I am very aware of the bugs you are addressing, I play on a very budget PC and don't even have a video card. Let me put this another way. Say that the patch last Tuesday, instead of disabling awards on Illum, disabled awards for high level PVE flashpoints and quest rewards. Would you just PVP instead for the next week and say "Oh well, I guess that PVE Isn't 100% of the game anyway." Or would you hope for a quick patch that would indeed result in a short amount of downtime (Four hours is not very long) so you could continue playing the content you enjoy? I don't understand why you feel you're being treated unfairly.
