    New PvP Medal System.

Yup your damn right there, but a bit of a reduction, in some of them, we need a 10 passes completed medal, a 2 assists medal and a score a goal medal.
  2. With a sharpshooter spec, you have few options to help out in pvp, its expensive to invest in any skills in other skill trees with the exception of the cool down on flash grenades. We are a fairly well rounded and balanced class with some minor issues in comparison to our agent counterparts. In pvp we find ourselves a lot more mobile whilst being mobile you have the options of dirty kick, leg shot and flash grenade as your only affective cc/snare against melee. With our squishy nature you can often lose 20-30% of your health whilst trying to get into cover just to use pulse detonator. Other classes have a much better array of knockbacks as standard without the prerequisite of having to enter another mode (cover in our case) If this ability was available out of cover, it would provide a tactical benefit required by gunslingers, at no increase to our dps, more importantly with the large ammount of stuns in the game which remove you from cover, having an instant knockback available when you recover could greatly improve our survivability against stealth classes from almost 0 to maybe 1.5.
  3. +1 internets to this person for being correct remember that you don't get any defensive buffs from standard crouch, a gunslinger gets a small def bonus from there cover screen but you always get higher defensive buffs in natural cover. Theres a sticky on the forums on it worth reading. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=4749
  4. I enjoy the game, I like warzones (call me a masochist but I really do) and its generally fun to play with friends. OP is however completely correct, the main feature was story, story, story. followed this game since 09 and that was it all the time. When someone questions combat, we got story story story story. Some of the writing is ok the voice acting is farely good for the class content, a bit wasted on some of the run of the mill stuff. The big issue is that Biowares storytelling mechanic is now getting very very dated. The turn up line up with your companion and speak to npc lined up with his people, and pick options like a Jrpg is static lifeless and dull, even the action segments aren't that well captured. Story can be told in the action and through the action of a game. Voice overs from a com link during missions would be a great first step. why not have a dual of words whilst fighting in game. since the large part of missions are instanced to individual areas this would have been a much better way of engaging the player.
  5. see ability delay thread on the main page for the skill firing. its being dealt with. I struggle with it when getting in cover in pvp which for a gunslinger is at the point of game breaking.
  6. we're just taking the mick its friday I'm off work soon, and very chilled looking forward to some gaming over the weekend. Of course if someone posts, I am having trouble find groups on X server it is making me question wether to resub then you offer them help. but most of the posts are written by people who probably won't quit or who probably never bought the game, just posting to stroke there e-peen.
  7. I'd say that being rude and the classic "bye" replies are too different things, theres no reason to be rude about someone with a problem. but when you get represented with the same I'm leaving and you won't get my sub idiotic thread then a bit of cheeky sarcasm isn't an issue, it basically translates to saying "ok, but we don't really care" and there are a ton of threads which this is the right response too.
  8. It depends if the post is constructive, theres much better ways of giving feedback than a lot of posts that crop up. What I mostly dislike is the unrealistic approach people take, with terms like game dieing, free to play in a month, epic fail.... The game is a good building block, it has some technical issues which isn't surprising and some frustrating bugs. Bioware have surprisingly been fairly quick on some of the bugs. Most of my negatives draw from the game being a completely different turn out than what it promoted 2 years ago. all in all I agree with you OP the everything is perfect brigade is about as useful as an ice cream van on Hoth.
  9. your logics flawed because you are devaluing choice, by allowing an easy switch from one option to another. The game when it was in development was based around choice but unforunately this got devalued progressively over 2010-2011 which was a shame. EDIT: personally i'd rather have less value around the choice on rolls as you say. but as mentioned bioware's "choice manifesto" was based around hard choices that you couldn't revert.
  10. its pants on long cooldown abilities, you can't tell at a glance wether its available or there's 10 seconds left, especially for any ability icon that is largely blue in color.
  11. my only comment is that the expertise stat should increase purely survivability through % defence and not increase % damage. this widens the gap too far. with just a defence gain the ungeared can still compete and will simply be alive longer to fight back a longer fight might give a more skilled but less geared player a level to compete on.
  12. just remove the damage increase from expertise and stick with the damage reduction, that will go a long way to improving the quality of competition.
  13. Simple answer is remove the damage increase and keep the resistance increase. No one without gear dies any quicker the geared die slower. pvp should be a prolonged tactical fighting experience where a less geared player has the opportunity to use CC, debuffs and various tools to try and overcome a better geared opponent. when increasing burst potential this goes out of the window.
  14. The fact that mmo's still encorporate a class that can open from stealth with a high ammount of stuns cc and burst damage. its just never going to work. LOTRO burglar was the only example of stealth made interesting. the issue is downgrade there damage and they become fairly useless quickly its on such a knife edge. the biggest issue is that the stun and dead scenario whilst resulting from a competent operative or scoundrel going through his motions with good gear. its absolutely zero fun for the opponent.
  15. errgg hit 50 yesterday expertise is a joke! no increased damage!!! gear with % defence is fine, it means that if i'm shooting at some guy in gear I will kill him less slowly, but he should not then turn and blast me away for even more damage. Derive damage from standard stats and have expertise as a purely defensive stat.
  16. isn't it more of a factor in population distribution and population tendancys (Imps = more pvp focused guilds) rather than the way it was implemented in game.
  17. Ok I looked into it its theoretically possible to get it working in the redzone but you'd need a compatible phone and the APK file for the app. I believe that using these might be breaking the EULA unfortunately. I am afraid that I can't say much more as I think it would make me in breech of the terms and conditions. Sorry I couldn't help as much as I thought I could. In the EU and the US you could borrow an android phone to get this done super quick. in the Red Zone its a lot riskier and involved potential breaches of the EULA and since I am not from a red zone country i can't prove that using an apk file would even work. apologies to Enako and the others that were waiting for this. please do your own research but be advised that it might be against biowares terms of service.
  18. just trying to sort this think it should work, I'm at work at the moment and my pc is being ridiculously slow. will post in the thread when i can confirm this works.
  19. I'm now writing it out to submit the post be patient and less obnoxious I'll be done in a bit I'm just going to actually do it myself (since I have a smart phone) to check what i'm doing will work for you give me a few minutes.
  20. ok so how about Bioware just remove them and then nobody gets them? seriousssssly the amount of whine is unbelievable. The fact that you can download this free run it on your DESKTOP yes you can do this without a smart phone makes this a non issue.
  21. this doesn't really follow the KISS rule of mmo's (keep it simple silly (see me dodge an infraction there)) The best means of administering a bounty system, can be taken from Warhammer online where during the great hunt a player could become marked. Killing the mark scored a point on the event completion for the opposite faction but has zero negative effects for the other player other than maybe getting targeted a bit more in pvp. If Bioware wanted to implement this it would work well as a server event. Maybe based around neutral hutts wanting to join your faction so they send you off to claim bounties and do missions. you kill marked players and complete pve missions earn event marks and hand them in for prizes.
  22. This toy cow is small, the ones out there aren't they're just really far away. perspective is required. FFXIV is just a pile of nothing, even with bug fixes there is zero content. thats why its was f2p, its purely a grind with inentional leveling limitations blocking your way. it tried to be different, instead it was inferior and purely delivered. They should have just refunded the box sales.
  23. 4-No Happy having fun, looking forward to some fixes plenty to amuse myself with in the mean time.
