  1. I play a sorc healer, and my husband plays a Tank Assassin, and we both unsubbed yesterday. Greatest feeling ever. It was like breaking up with a bad boyfriend. Take the plunge. You'll feel great. Why continue to pay for a crappy product that is only getting crappier? If they completely revamped everything in this game, fired a whole new set of developers, and made classes balanced I might consider playing it again. Until then, I'm playing games where the devs actually give a crap about their product and the community. P.S. Like many others, I WOULD ABSOLUTELY love to know if any of the developers play a Sorc (heals and dps) in PVE and PVP.
  2. ^That. Nobody at any time has ever said "Overload" is overpowered OMGZ. Ever. Ever. Since 1.2 the Sorc/Sage has been laughed at and scorned. "Oh, don't give the ball to a sorc" was a common line I heard when I was still pvp'ing. The changes they are doing for "class balancing" is absolutely absurd. Powertechs can continue to kill people in 3-4 buttons AND do double damage through people using protection. That's perfectly fine, but sorcerer overload...that's COMPLETELY UNBALANCED. I honestly have no idea who the squeaky wheel actually is. I know that Sorcerers have been begging for then to reverse our unnecessary nerfs since 1.2, and all we've gotten is "Learn to play" from the devs because the developers are right, and not the players, who play their characters extensively. You developers are completely and utterly delusional.

One more thought for the developers that will never read this because they don't give a crap- As a sorc healer in PVE, I NEED A 30 M STUN!!!![/b] A LOT OF TIMES IN PVE THERE ARE STUPID MOBS THAT WILL AGGRO ON A HEALER THAT ARE REALLY FAR AWAY, AND SINCE CLOUD MIND IS A JOKE, I WILL NOW HAVE TO LET MY TANK DIE TO RUN UP TO THE MOB TO STUN THEM. BRAVO. Thank you for making it that much easier to play any other game on the planet than this one.
  4. I've played a sorc healer since launch, and pvp'd a hell of a lot. The only thing I actually do in this game anymore is heal for my guild in raids. The developers have killed the sorc class, and have therefore ruined the game for me. There continued inability to really seek class balance and actually listen to the community outside of the pvp baddies, has sealed the nail in the coffin.
  5. Polarity shift is in the Lightning DPS Spec...the spec THAT NOBODY USES in PVP. Great job there! It's only good for pve, and if you're with a competent tank you shouldn't be getting interrupted...so good job on a useless change.
  6. I don't think I could have said it better. It's great that a sorc will now be able to knock everything away in front...but what about the guys attacking from behind. That whole 120 degree cone isn't going to do crap to help a sorc stay alive in pvp. When I saw this thread I was slightly optimistic that I would see some substantial changes for class balance, like upping Sorc DPS, more survivability then 1 self heal, or toning down the outlandishly high marauder/sentinel dps. I was also expecting to find more on resolve then, we've made it stupid proof. Do any of the devs read any forum posts?
  7. The Devs and forum trolls all belittle us sorcs when we bring up the fact that our class was ruined with 1.2- that we have no survivability in warzones, no burst damage, and no burst healing. My question is this: If a psychotically large majority of the sorcerer/sage community says that there is a problem, how can you continue to say that the class is fine and that we all need to L2P? To me that seems completely and utterly absurd. It logically cannot be a L2P issue if so many players are having a hard time staying alive. I for one am sick and tired of our complaints about class imbalance going unnoticed and seeing responses from ignorant dps classes that have never rolled a sorc in a level 50 WZ or RWZ. And just for the record: Fully Augmented War Hero Fully Augmented Campaign 4/4 HM Denova/NM Pilgrim/NiM KP/NiM EV Sorcerer healer, My'st, from The Fatman. P.S. BioWare Devs: Dying all the time or kiting and then dying for a whole warzone is not fun. You have made this class completely unfun in PvP.
  8. The healing tree in particular needs some help. We have the longest burst heal out of the three healing classes. The operative healer can cast their burst heal in 1.7 seconds, and they get a free instant heal at 30% or below, and they for whatever reason crit higher then our heals. We have no defensive cooldowns. None. Mercenaries can put up a shield that prevents them from being interrupted, and operatives can disappear, run away, and heal back up. Marauders have undying rage, juggernauts can self heal 30% of their hp, assassins have that bubble where they are immune to practically anything and they can go stealth, powertechs have a damage absorbing shield. Every other class in the game has a defensive cooldown of some sort. Here's what we have: 1. A bubble, which will absorb roughly 3-4k when talented. You have to talent fairly far into lightning to get it to do a stun, which is broken upon damage. If you go full corruption healing you don't have this. 2. Overload, which is a small knockback compared to a 30 meter force push from a juggernaut. 3. Sprint, great until you get rooted by every other class. 4. A 4 second stun, which fills the resolve bar 3/4 of the way. 5. A 1.4 second induction whirlwind. You have to talent Madness to get it insta-cast. Good luck getting the induction off, or not having them hit by your team. 6. A slow, that can be removed. I know for sure marauders have a slow that CANNOT be cleansed. If I spec full corruption, which I have to do for raids because my AoE heal is the only thing I bring to the table, I have a sprint that I 99% of the time get rooted after using, a bubble that absorbs 1 smash, a 4 second stun, and an induction based cc that I'll be dead before I can cast. Plus I have to stand still to heal, and wear light armor. As far as our dps is concerned, we don't do as much as other classes. I have never gotten a 5k hit on anyone in a warzone- and I'm full war hero and have 3 unaugmented pieces of gear. I can't tell you how many times I get critted for 5k by a jugg, marauder, or mercenary (or their Pub counterpart). We don't really have any burst damage. Spellcasters are supposed to be strong in heals or dps because our trade off is being squishy. 1.2 took that away from us.
  9. How do you plan on improving healing sorcerer's survivability? Since 1.2 and even more so in 1.3 healing sorcerer's do nothing more then run, hide, and die.
  10. Since you have no ETA on when dual spec will be released, why not just keep the respec cost at a constant 1,000 credits. That would allow people to spec for PvP and then spec for PvE according to what their group needs. It doesn't make sense to charge so much to respec when the money just goes to an NPC.
  11. Anyone that thinks that our class is just fine as is, is clearly not playing a sorc- especially in PVP. I have literally been killed in less then 1.7 seconds. During which time I was stunned and the operative healer couldn't even get off his major burst heal. There couldn't possibly be a problem with burst damage or class balance in this game. Not at all. Our bubble absorbs roughly 3k in damage and if we have more then one person on us or interrupting us, we're dead. We also have to hurt ourselves to regen power, which only makes us a more appetizing target in a warzone. I would also agree that our dps is on the lower side. I have no idea how you would get a 5k hit in either spec as a sorc, yet I get 5k+ crits on me all the time from tanking classes- and I'm in practically full War Hero Augmented armor. Has any sorc post 1.2 ever been able to get a 5k hit? I really really wish that the developers would at least post a blog explaining the logic behind what they've done to the class and what they hope to accomplish in the future. I don't think that's too much to ask for.
  12. I just got done in a warzone and I was on the receiving end of a 5,917 smash from a Juggernaut on my sage. My sage is full BM except for 2 pieces of WH...so it's not like my expertise sucks. The damage boost from expertise compared with all of the other "benefits" from expertise is way too out of balance. I would dearly love to know if anyone that tests your metrics has ever played a sorcerer or sage. The fact of the matter is that you have completely and utterly made the spell casting class unfun to play in just about any situation.

  14. Log in and go to "My Account" and select Character Transfers on the left. There's more servers there then on the other page.
