  1. It's like that everywhere. Players just want to fly around without repercussion. Gunships, apart from being very easy kills, unless theres a skilled pilot at the helm, are there to remind them to check their six.
  2. Best SF spec is basically a tank, with sick damage and nigh on invincible when played right. The base spec is something like: Quad laser Cannons Concussion Missiles Proton Missiles Charged Plating Barrell roll Deflection Armour Dmg Capacitor Power pool Extender Power thrusters Crew skills are up to you. Just take what benefits those skills.
  3. In war, there are no rules. You use whatever tactic you can to win. If people want to retreat, let them. What i find funny is the amount of people claiming impossible, or highly unlikely scenarios as their evidence. people REALLY need to understand that the maps are objective based and not dogfights. Asking to change the mechanics of an objective based warzone to benefit dogfighters is laughable. Oh and before you start trolling, yes i play a gunship, no i dont use LoLcannon, and no i dont run away from a fight. Infact, i find it much more fun to lead 3-4 scouts/fighters around the map for the entire fight, effectively taking them out of the battle and making it an easy win for my team
  4. As above. Consider the amount of people queuing for GSF. Now consider that most people solo queue and do not realise that groups get faster queues. This means they could be in queue for 10 +mins. In that time they could be doing missions, or could simply be afk. If you are half way through a mission, and in the middle of killing a boss mob or elite, then chances are people will just ignore the queue pop and finish the mission, then requeue. Remember, even though you have a min or so to click accept queue, the 30 sec abort timer starts from the second the teams are more than 2 people in difference. SO you may think " oh, they have 60-90 seconds to accept, when in reality, it is actually 30 secs or less. The queue system needs changing for sure, but i wouldnt hold my breath.

  8. I'll agree with that. It seems the devs did their usual trick of saying " oh, people wont do that". Instead of thinking " they'll definitley do that. maybe we should put some sort of system in that stops them."
  9. About the whole gunship thing. You wont be getting objectives or on point, but youll be getting medals from damage, kills etc. Unless you are AFK.
  10. 0 medals. It is pretty much impossible to get 0 medals in a match unless you are genuinely AFK. You actually have to go out of your way and avoid everything to achieve it. 0 on objectives. Again, almost impossible. All you have to do is sit by a capped sat for maybe 5-10 seconds to get a few objective points. I kind of agree on the assists plus deaths. But it should be 0 on ALL of them. it is very easy to get an assist. Just cause 1 damage while the enemy is under attack.
  11. People premade in GSF purely for the faster queues. They RARELY ever work together. Those that do, and dont organise queues with the opposing faction are normally bad players who want to dominate unskilled and undergeared pugs.
  12. I bought 3 single packs and got 2 ships. Pick them up at the GTN. They go for around 500k now.

  14. See my sig. If you have a low end system, then dont expect to get decent performance out of it on a modern game engine. You cant compare it to wow because it is an engine designed in 2000-2004 and has just had things bolted on afterwards.

  16. Thats going to happen in pugs, which is why you need ... wait for it... Coordination and communication, in order to counter them. The way you and others describe it, youd think that this happens every single match. it doesnt, and youd be lying if you tried to say otherwise. Again, gunships are easily countered, even if half the team is flying one.
  17. ALL ships can be OP in rare circumstances. Saying they cant is just pointless. Just remember, the gunship only has its strong damage to rely on. if you lower that damage, then theyd better get good manoeuvrability and defence to make up for it. Also, read your closing statement. You are saying 2 types of ship are OP, yet you name 1 skill. Ever thought its that skill that needs to be brought into line and not an entire ship?

  20. You know gunships are VERY easy to kill right? The only reason you want them removed is so you can ignore objectives and dogfight without repercussion. Gunships play a vital role in objective based maps. And like i said, they are VERY easy to kill.
  21. It's easy to give yourself lag. just run a p2p program until it lags out. However, people dont realise that for all its faults, this game has very good client sync detection. So the game knows when someone's lagging and is trying to sync back up. thats why they all end up crashing.
  22. Also, little tip. Dogfighting doesnt require much skill at all, and is much easier to play than a gunship. That begs the question. If you are getting schooled by a gunship, why are you still dogfighting and not going after said gunship? Sounds more like a learn to play issue than anything else.

  24. Nope. You can pick up the daily and weekly from the pvp terminal, but no area yet. At least no area until GSF launches in full next month.
