  1. Fancy I see this thread, I'm also a returning player from years of playing. Last time I logged in was shortly after the Hutt expansion. Haven't created a new character yet, that's what I'm gonna do now Hope this server is well populated
  2. Pardon me if this has already been stated but a debuff won't always work. While I don't like leaving myself even in a no win situation I have experienced network disconnects much more recently since 1.2. I try all I can to rectify the problem on my end but sometimes I still get the huge lag spikes that end up getting booted to the server screen. How will the debuff recognize who logged out and who unwillingly got disconnected? I would be royally pissed if this happened to me in a wz and got a huge debuff. I didn't want to disconnect but s*** happens. I agree with something has to be done but you need to think of all the situations, this being one of them, it's not as easy as 1 + 2 = 3
  3. In addition to all these ideas (forgive if I repeated one if I misread) - Speeder races (a la Episode 1 but of course without annoying young Anakin) - Space races / battle (without rails) - Much more difficult space PvE (Without rails) - PvP 'quests'. For example if you are a bounty hunter you receive a bounty on 'x' player on the server. You have a limited time for this bounty. You must defeat them in a 1v1 situation and get a reward if you complete it, but if you lose the person with the bounty on his/her head can turn their victory in for an even greater reward? Although care must be put into implementation. Level 50 cannot collect on <lvl50 's, must be in a similar grade of gear, and possibly certain spec'd classes cannot verse others. - Buy accessories for your armor. They don't do anything, just for aesthetics. This can greatly increase the customization of people's gear. A Jedi can look like obi wan in his trooper gear like in the clone wars cartoon and all by without buying something that sort of looks like the trooper armor, spend the money to strip the mods, then input their own.
  4. When I play my healer toon I get marked all the time, it comes with the job. If you apply for a computer tech job and complain about all the computer questions you get, you applied to the wrong job. I don't mind it, I just simply ask for help and change my tactics around. I think to suit most people a better suggestion would be to be able to mark anyone (by anyone not just the leader, or at least have the leader give Lt status) but the marking only shows up on your screen at 'x' distance. Much like a skill can only be used 'x' distance from the target. This way it's not seen from across the map as everyone is complaining about so you have to be within the battle to see where he/she is.
  5. Yes there is. When a skill is obviously overpowered it's used too often and can be frustrating and just plain boring. Although commandos who don't cycle already are not using the class to it's potential as with the grav round you create vortexes which other skills can benefit from. I usually play medic spec and I don't have the problem that OP does and I'm less geared than him. Obviously when you're with all pugs and no one communicates then of course you're going to get interrupted and your *** handed to you. Like many people have mentioned already, it's a class that requires teammates to work together and 1v1 is pretty much useless in most situations. I suggest you make some friends and group que or join a guild. If you have mentioned the above, my apologies. I couldn't finish reading your post, the grammar was all over the place. I'm assuming English isn't your primary language (or at least judging by the thread hope its not)
  6. Show me where in some sort of official manual /dev notes/or something that says that making a teammate able to stealth and capture a point without breaking stealth is part of game design. If so then I'll retract the statement. If something is not designed to work a specific way and gives a player an advantage then yes it is an exploit. Why is this "feature" not available to all stealthers and not having to do a series of 3-4 steps with another stealthed teammate? Certainly this would be an even more incentive to keep a closer eye on the turrets/doors and use the scans even more often. Metalmac > My post wasn't really referring to stealth healers being overpowered. There are so many people on these forums complaining and requesting buffs/nerfs, I'm surprised that hasn't been asked yet. And the example of an assassin + healer taking on 7 people is pretty ridiculous. I've never ran into this on Ilum or in any warzone. Though not to say this can't happen but those 7 opponents must have been undergeared and possibly inexperienced.
  7. Next thing I'll see here is someone wants stealthers to plant bombs/cap turrets in stealth and not have it be a hack
  8. So what everyone is saying is...Let's blow up the whole galaxy and not have a game to play...lol
  9. It sounds like your team doesn't know how to protect you or you're not engaging in communicating with them to help you out. I don't find tagging the enemy an issue at all, I think it's actually extremely useful. I can sense when I'm tagged when there's a higher than average attention towards me. So I do the next logical thing and ask for help. Someone that can keep them off me so I can continue to heal. I have played in matches where the other team has "too many" healers. They may have had only a few dps but their healers were healing other healers and the attackers. It's just playing smart. I mostly play commando medic spec and the odd time will re-spec to dps. As far as gear goes, mostly champion with a couple columi/rakata. So I usually have around 9-10% expertise. I don't have a problem with the tagging. It also depends who you're playing against. If you're in a team with a bunch of random people and the other team is mostly from the same guild and may have BM gear, then obviously they're going to coordinate their attacks better. There are times that I get swamped and get killed within a minute but then there are other matches where it takes 2 maybe 3 imps to kill me. I have read another thread about this and it can be summarized as this... "I die all the time and want to roflstomp and never lose. Make me a god and everyone else an ant" The game already has its share of glitches/bugs you name it. Now you want to take AWAY a feature? My suggestion is to do what we all have done. Grind through the wins and losses. Some days I win most matches and others none at all Collect those wz comms and do the HM Flashpoints to acquire the better gear Try respecing to other skills or a combination to fit your play style Get in a group to play with to work together Ask the ops leader to tag you so that your teammates can easily spot you and can cover your *** This is not hard to figure out, I can never understand 98% of the whining that goes on here.
  10. Hey, Sherlock here. Yea sorry about the disconnect the whole city block had a power shortage. I tried to look you up after but you had logged off already. It was out for a while.
