  1. No, What is the name of the Gormak king on second base.
  2. I had a lot of derpy moments early on -- I consider pretty much launch to late May 2012 to be a giant derp, so I'll focus on my best derp relapses. I routinely respec from tank to DPS and back again on my guardian, and has occasionally caused some humor if I don't get all my gear switched over. For example, I once tanked HM TFB (pre-2.0) to Kephess with a focus instead of a shield ("Boy, your health sure is spiky today!") because I'd forgot to re-equip. However, my ultimate derp came in our first clear of Nightmare KP, when I repseced DPS for Bonethrasher, then won a randomed pair of Exotech smuggler pants... which I equipped as we ran to the next boss... and tanked Sorno with them on. When I first got my sorc to 55, I was healing a HM Athiss and had recently reinstalled (and was thus using an old version of my UI), so I didn't have raid frames enabled for party frames. During the final boss, I saw the crushing affliction go out, but couldn't figure out who it hit as I looked over the party frame... until I died. My first time running EC on my operative, I walked into the trash pull about 2/3 of the way to Zorn and Toth to stealh cc one of the mobs on the left (so we could bypass), except I wasn't in stealth, and the rest of the group was halfway down the hill still. I queued for a WZ when I got my Sentinel to 10 as soon as I'd picked up my advanced class. Once I got in the hypergates (pretty much instantly), I discovered that because I hadn't completed my class story on Tython yet, I couldn't equip my off-hand saber, so I did my first WZ with a training sword. I'm sure I've got plenty of other derps, but I thought these were particularly memorable.
  3. Please allow us to preview what our stats would look like with the warzone bolster active in the Character Sheet window. During that awkward phase when you hit 55 but aren't in full partisan yet, it would really help figure out the priority for acquiring gear, what PVE pieces to use, and so on without having to sit around fiddling with your gear in the minute before a WZ starts.
  4. We're working to muster something with <The Azure Blades>, but we have a lot of members on vacation, and a few who've left for Pot5.
  5. <The Azure Blades> are now 7/7 on Scum & Villainy HM. Princess Ystrid loves her baby dragon EDIT: We've now downed Golden Fury on 8m HM, too!
  6. <The Azure Blades> got to 6/7 on S&V HM last night. I also noticed that our website info was missing from your list: http://azureblades.enjin.com
  7. So, last summer, the Devs took on-use stat boost relics out of PVP, replacing them with flat-boost relics that wound up backfiring by becoming BiS for PVE. In response, those were eliminated with the release of 2.0 and the Partisan/Conqueror gear tier, whose relics are all auto-proc varieties. However, the best of these -- the Relic of Serendipitous Assault -- is designed to "lock out" the other healing and DPS relics now that a fix has been entered to keep it from not allowing 2 matched relics to proc together. At the same time, the developers are trying to limit CC in PVP, and one thought was to cause stun breaks to reset on death. This was slapped down with iron might by the PVP community, and the change has been backburnered. A discussion with some friends this weekend, however, gave me an idea that could address both the relic problem and the stun break problem: Why not have relics with on-use abilities that aren't just stat boosts? My prototype is the "Relic of Battlefield Lucidity", which has static bonuses appropriate to its tier (Partisan/Conqueror), and an on-use ability that mimics the class stun-break power, with the standard 2 minute Relic cooldown (making it, on average, 1 extra stun break for every 2 of your class's cooldowns). However, this doesn't have to be the only such relic. A number of utility powers could be added in this way, and would add an additional strategic element since you could only have at most 2 equipped, and they would share a 2-minute cooldown.
  8. <The Azure Blades> are now 5/7 S&V HM.
  9. <The Azure Blades> is now 7/7 16man Scum & Villainy SM.
  10. <The Azure Blades> is now 5/5 on 8-man TFB HM Lvl 55.
  11. Eden-Grace (Imperal) can make all Advanced [Whatever] Armoring 28s (except Patron, didn't see the need), all Advanced [Whatever] Mod 28A & Bs, Advanced Might Armoring 30, and Advanced Elusive Mod 30. Joona (Republic) can make Advanced Battle Enhancement 30, Advanced Bastion Enhancement 30, and Advanced Sagacity Enhancement 30, as well as most of the 28s, and the 28 hilts. All are free with mats; tips appreciated. Message me on any of the toons in my sig line; I check them all daily.
  12. I agree totally with that assessment. Our problem on the Terror last night was that I kept either DCing, finding myself falling to a mysterious floor below the platforms and having to /stuck to get out, or falling to said mysterious floor and then DCing... So, yes, we've downed Writhing Horror, Dread Guard, Operator IX, and Kephess. Still working on Lotek'k (the Terror has a name!), the lag boss, the Comcast boss, and the Glitch Boss.
  13. <The Azure Blades> are now 5/5 on 16-man SM TFB and 4/5 on 8-man HM TFB. We expect to clear HM this week, if we can get a DC-free run this weekend.
  14. Toon: Ystrid Class; Guardian Spec: Vigilance (4/36/6) DPS: 2247 Parse Link: http://www.torparse.com/a/230615/time/1368630769/1368631069/0/Overview (cropped to 5 min) Parse Link (uncropped): http://www.torparse.com/a/230615/1/0/Overview I am stimmed, using a Partisan and a War Hero relic, with a hodgepodge of Black Market and Verpine Gear (my Arkanian & Underworld is all tank gear) and a mix of 22 and 28 augments..
  15. It's smaller text, in the tooltip down below. I believe it is right below "Bound". The weird one is Barrels, which if you remove a barrel from, say, a techblade, it will not say "offhand" or "mainhand", but the word "blaster" will disappear from its tooltip description.
  16. I'd have to choose the Minister of Intelligence. Not only is he fearless with the personality to navigate Sith politics, but he's truly a "for the Empire!" type, who'll put the prosperity f the Empire above his personal agenda. Though, after playing through Makeb, I definitely think Darth Marr would be a suitable back-up choice *if* I actually have to pick a force-user.
  17. I've got quite a few, and since I've done just about every class and role at some point, I've seen a lot. For example: On my Merc (ordinarily DPS, but I know how to heal too), I was grouped as a healer and one of the DPS asked me not to heal her because she didn't like all the green stuff getting on her clothes A Scrapper Scoundrel who charged into combat with no armor on, not stealthed, after typing various silly battlecries (Directive 7 NM, IIRC). Died in every single pull. (Technically, this was a pre-GF PUG) An Assassin tank who wouldn't guard my Op healer, a Twi'lek, because she was a "filthy alien". I didn't ask for one, he just felt the need to announce it. On my first HM on my Jugg tank, there was a fairly well-geared smash marauder in the group who would randomly AFK for 5-10 min at a time, then inexplicably leap into the middle of a pull and kill everything, wash, rinse, and repeat, all without saying a word. This is a catch-all, but there are a number of people who seem to want to ERP with my Sorc healer, and want to spend the better part of the FP propositioning me in whispers.
  18. I think there's a huge misunderstanding about how map assignment works that is reflected in the name of this thread. The maps don't CYCLE. That is, there is no pattern that the first match generated is, say, Voidstar, the next Civil War, then Huttball, then Novare, then Hypergates, then repeat. If that was the case, your chances of getting repeats would be significantly higher, especially if the number of simultaneous matches on your server was a multiple of 5 (essentially guaranteeing repeats). The generation of a match is random, and has ABSOLUTELY NO RELATION to the match you, or anyone else, did before. The thing is, if you flip coins long enough, you will eventually get any number of consecutive "heads". It's a logical fallacy to believe that the next flip depends on any of the previous ones. The same thing holds for WZs: your chance of having the next pop be a Civil War has no relation to whether the previous was a Civil War. And, if you queue for enough warzones (though it may take billions), you'll eventually have a streak of 100 consecutive Civil Wars.
  19. I don't think that this is all on Bioware's end (though some of it probably is, as I'll note below), as I've noticed that the lag spikes aren't uniformly spread around at all times. For example, last night my guild was running EC HM to get the Nightscythe speeder on some of our lvl 50 alts and two of us were having serious lag issues (we each disconnected at least twice in the trenches between the caves and the minefield), but no one else was having issues. I live in Tennessee, and the other player lives in Georgia, we both have Comcast, and both our tracert run through the same Comcast hub in Atlanta before heading to the game server, and the bulk of our packet losses were happening in the Comcast network. Later in the night, players in our guild who live in Texas had similar issues that occurred more-or-less simultaneously (I believe one of them has U-Verse, not sure about the others). These spikes continued across multiple zones (including on my ship) and lasted, in most cases, for about an hour, then mostly settled down. The geographic isolation of the lag spikes at any given time suggests it's an ISP issue, but the widespread (across multiple ISPs and regions) suggest a game-end problem.
  20. There are sections of the ledges that glow blue you can place the charges on. The ones I found are all in the south-central portion of the map, on the west side of the fault line, but I'm sure there are others as well. It's confusing because it's the raised areas of the ground, not the buildings, that are the foundations.
  21. <The Azure Blades> are 5/5 on TFB SM and 7/7 S&V SM and 2/5 TFB HM post-2.0 (we did clear TFB HM pre-2.0, but I never did update this thread). We're hoping to start moving faster now that we've finally got sufficient people up to 55.
  22. During the Jedi Consular's class quest on Tatooine, you acquire a Jawa Robe as a quest reward. It's kinda cool looking, but... ...it's WHITE, no-stat, no-mod gear. Please, please, please make this item orange and moddable. I've had it in my cargo hold forever, hoping and dreaming that the day would come that I could wear it.
  23. At Level 50, on my Republic characters I'm almost always waiting for a healer; if I queue on my commando healer, I almost always get a near-instant pop. On my 2 tanks, I usually have a pretty lengthy wait for a healer. On my guardian (who has nearly equal tank/DPS gear), I will, quite often, get grouped as DPS when queueing as both. At Level 50, on my Imperial characters, I'm almost always waiting for a tank -- pretty much the reverse of the Republic situation. If I queue on my tank, I almost always get a near-instant pop, but generally wait on my healers. On my merc (my only primarily DPS toon), I typically end up waiting considerably longer unless I also check "healer", in which case I'm inevitably grouped as a healer. At 55, currently all bets are off, as there are very few 55s at the moment. I couldn't get a 55 FP pop last night at all -- we had no 55 healers in our guild, though we had 2 tanks and 2 DPS at 55 (plus I could do both).
  24. I'd like to see an emote that plays a short snippet of classic Star Wars music, such as "/lightforce" playing a short version of "Light of the Force", "/vader" playing a short Imperial March, "/sidious" playing the Emperor's Theme, etc. I'd especially love "/enclave" to play my favorite musical piece from the KOTORs, "Rebuilt Jedi Enclave" from KOTOR2 (which occasionally plays on the character select screen).
