I guess the consensus held here by the majority of players who don't play Sage DPS is that I just need to L2P. I'll take that into consideration but seeing as I consistently am at the top of the leaderboards in both medals and damage scoring on average 600-900k DPS with the fewest deaths on my team often going undefeated in 8v8 war zones I don't think L2P is the issue at hand. I'm in full conq gear and I know how to optimize it. I parse 2500-2600 DPS on the warzone dummy in my ship. The problem is in 4v4 arenas its much easier to focus a target and sages are the common first focus target in 4v4. I know how to play my class and I use all of my abilities to include my stun, force speed, knock back, root and slow but let's face it even with all of that adage is going to be hard pressed to survive being focused by a dentinal and guardian that can demolish 2/3 of my health before I can even get two dots off. I was managing to survive many rounds but I was forced to focus survival over DPS which means all that losing and escaping I was doing meant that I was not dpsing as good as the sentinals and guardians are. Playing my class I basically feel useless,I either dying in seconds to focus fire, being stunned, rooted and slowed or I was trying so hard to avoid all that that I wasn't providing much DPS for my team,either way I felt like that 4th slot on my team was better suited for a different class. But hey who cares right? I just need to L2P....

Perhaps you're right, let me go torment my self more and keep on playing even though I don't enjoy it...make sense. I just need more time before I enjoy it....ah ...how could I be so stupid?

Enough to know that I don't enjoy them as a Sage DPS. If I don't enjoy it then why am I paying for it? It all boils down to being entertained and this game has failed to do that, I'm just frustrated and angry, if I wanted to be frustrated and angry i could go do that without paying these ******s $15 a month. Cancelled my sub today, moving onto a game that actually entertains me and is fun to play.

I could give two ****s how hard the content is to create. Thats what they get paid money to do. All I care about is the quality of the product I paid to consume. This PvP patch was a joke and the OP has a good point that all we get is 4 new little arenas to do the same old **** we've been doing but now with more glaring class balance issues. Quit making excuses for those "poor programmers" and "game developers" the content they have been making is crap and I'm no longer going to pay for it.

I did leave. Cancelled my sub today, im done, they totally screwed DPS sages. DPS sages are about as useful in arenas as a blue shirt ison st. patricks day. I feel like paper and feel useless, **** bioware for taking the only thing that was keeping me subscribed (anticipation of the 2.4 patch) and *********** it all up. This game needs pvp balance. In the next few weeks mark my words arenas will be dominated by sentnal, guardian healer combos everything else will get smashed. Im going back to other games this game is a joke.

What a crappy update, made my class (sage dps) pretty much worthless. I was already growing bored of repeating that same stupid content week in and week out and was looking forward to 4v4 arenas, yet it just highlights that you guys still have a lot of balance work to do and I doubt you'll ever get it right. I'm done with this game, the only thing thats gonna save this game is if you pay players to play it.

Don't even bother, if you want to enjoy the new 4v4 arenas I recommend you all roll a sentinel or guardian. You will be focused and dead in seconds and won't be able to do anything to stop it. Thanks bioware for making my class worthless in the new 4v4 arenas, I was actually looking forward to it, got my full conq gear and now its all for nothing. You lost a sub. This game is doomed to failure with idiots like this that cant balance pvp.

This guild is full of elitist ******es. I got invited to do a TC Hardmode run as a DPS and then immediately removed from the ops because my health was too low. Happens they didn't even give me a chance to swap out of my pvp gear into my full 72's before they just booted me. Don't waste your time with these ******es unless your an elitist ***** like them then you might fit in.

Hey there! I've been looking all over these forums and google to find a good resource for PvP gearing for a DPS speced sage. The only up to date resource I've found on stat priority is the noxxic PVP sage guide. In other classes forums I've found really awesome guides like: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=634947 Does something along that line exist here? I'm not really sure what stats I should be stacking? Is it crit, surge, alacrity, power? And why? I'm assuming my goal should be to maximize my dps I'm just not sure how and don't wanna waste my coms buying conq gear that may end up not really helping much. And just incase it's important I'm running a hybrid spec atm.
