  1. Do I just have some really old cookies stored for swtor.com or are the pics in the "Latest Screenshots" section on the front page from Summer 2012?
  2. Is there a reason why all the lvl 50 NPC protectors weren't upgraded to lvl 55? While doing my Seeker droid and Binocular quests on Tatooine I keep seeing lvl 20s inside their quest hubs being ganked by lvl 55s because the NPCs can't kill the lvl 55s. Is this working as intended?
  3. Seems a little steep to me considering I can get 10 RWZ comms for 30 WZ comms. Was this an oversight or is this a disincentive to get gear while leveling up through warzones? And yes, I am aware the old gear is still available on the Capital worlds. It would have been nice to have more options with PvP though.
  4. Player kills have not always been tracked. The statistics tracked by Pre-Season One didn't begin until months after release. Should we ever get out of Pre-Season One I'd assume they'd reset as well.
  5. Feels kind of weird. Never seen an expansion (for a game with subscribers) released this way. Not sure if Bioware could have made this process anymore unclear and complicated.
  6. A couple questions Amber. 1) Since when have missions and schematics been tied to character level? and 2) I can not purchase the Advanced Crew Skills (which are at 400) and I've purchased the expansion. However I purchased it in March so I do not have Early Access. Do I have to wait until the 14th to start working on my crew skills?
  7. I'm not asking for details of the contract. Something in between full disclosure and completely ignoring the topic would be nice though.
  8. Valid point. I guess I am asking to be mollified but I'd rather not sit in the dark now, while I'm attempting to enjoy the game, than feel betrayed later. I'd prefer a more open discourse on the future of this game.
  9. Thanks for trying to derail this thread but there is a valid concern that needs to be addressed by the producers of this game. They've been quiet for months since Disney purchased LucasFilm. Now that Disney has taken the provocative move of basically shuttering LucasArts (the division of LucasFilm that EA/Bioware was directly involved with, please check the bottom of this page for their logo) a request for a public statement regarding the going concern of this product isn't out of line.
  10. I have always had hopes for a SWTOR2 with something better than the Hero engine. SWG limped along for over a decade, so yes, I do.
  11. Spelling it correctly would be the first step to understanding it. This is a company (Disney) that fired their CEO in order to maintain a partnership with Pixar. Having to spend a few million to cut ties with EA/Bioware is nothing to a company the size of Disney.
  12. Unless they think this game is damaging the intellectual property they spent billions to own.
  13. Right, because Lucas didn't take the license away from Sony so TOR could be the only Star Wars MMO in town. It is business. If they think they can make more money with something else, they'll do it.
  14. What if Disney wants an MMO based in the New Republic and not the Old. Do you think they'll want competition for that MMO?
  15. I'm not demanding a response from the Devs. I'm merely suggesting that its time the Producers made an official statement regarding the acquisition and now sacking of Lucas Arts by Disney and the on going existence of this game. There's some uncertainty in the TOR community (well, at least me) about the future of this game. I've been a subscriber since Early Access in 2011. I'm concerned and I'd like to know if the Mouse is going to shut down The Old Republic.
  16. Back to the OP's point... I think this game would benefit from a third faction (especially pvp). However I'm less interested in seeing a "New Empire" faction and more interested in seeing a faction built around the criminal underbelly of the galaxy like the Hutt Cartel or the Exchange. They could keep things simple by stealing Bounty Hunters from the Empire and Smuggler's from the Republic and replace said classes with Imperial Troopers and Republic Agents (allowing those two classes to be more patriotic to their causes). To give BHs and Smugs a more Gun for Hire kind of feel you could give these classes the option to follow the Imperial or Republic world story line for each planet (would save on Development time). There could be some interesting story lines delving deeper into the various galactic corporations, piracy, the black market, being a free lance spacer, etc... If this faction has to have Force users there are several ways to go... You could have Fallen Jedi/Redeemed Sith/ The Grey who want nothing to do with the constant struggle between the light and the dark. Or we can delve deeper into the Voss and a more "neutral" take on the Force. Lots of interesting things they could with this type of faction.
  17. Actually no. Before the Double XP Weekend it was usually about 15-25 minute long queues. During the weekend it jumped to about 30-45 minutes. It feels like the Double XP Weekend cleared out all the people in the proper lvl ranges for these flashpoints. So its not back to normal. Hard to say when "normal" will return.
  18. Has anyone else noticed that the sub 50 Group Finder doesn't pop since the Double XP Weekend? Lvl 41 and it hasn't popped all afternoon or evening for me.
  19. "Like the Maker said, 'It's better to burn out than to rust away'. " -Droids response to it's Master's comment about how all of the droid's leaking hydraulic fluid is going to catch on fire and burn their warehouse down.
  20. Any official word from EA about Disney's purchase yet? I am curious what Disney as the new copyright owner means for the future of this game. Also its interesting to note that a quick Google of "EA Disney" brings up articles dating back to '05 about why Disney should buy EA. Something to think about.
  21. Been playing since the open beta weekends last fall. Started on the first day of early access and have been subscribed since December. According to the ledger I'm getting 150 cartel coins for each month of my 6 month subscription and 200 coins per month for my 3 month subscription. Here's my question... If I had less faith (and hope) in the game and paid month to month since last December would I have more complimentary cartel coins for the launch of F2P? If so I'm a little disappointed since I thought the whole point of the complimentary coins was to reward the loyal fan base that has stayed with the game to this regrettably sad point.

    It's Time

to stop queuing Pre-made groups with those who are queuing solo. The benefits of third party communication software allow four or more people (its not that hard to get two Pre-mades in the same warzone on the same side) to roll eight random people. Being DPS'd like a target dummy through four losses shouldn't be the only way to get a daily done.
  23. While I'd be highly interested in seeing Kashyyk (with the Shadowlands being an open area tuned for operation sized groups) I'd like to have a mechanic for finding new hyper-routes to undiscovered systems. Something to think about while considering the expansion of the galaxy.
  24. I would have been perfectly content with SWTOR if the basis of the game was X-Wing/Tie Fighter combined with Jedi Academy and Bioware's history of great storylines. With regard to the poll I voted for 3D Space Battles but I'm for all of the above. Feel free to add them to the game in this order: 3D Space Battles Capital Ship Battles Vehicle Combat Pod/Speeder racing
  25. A level 50 bracket without expertise. Or let level 50s into the sub-50 bracket with a reverse bolstering mechanic that negates their expertise.
