  1. I get Outlaw's Den on Tat. But let's be honest. That is an awful place for it. It needs to be in a new side-section of Ilum. And put the Armament boxes there, too so same-faction can fight over them. That would be awesome. Or put armaments in Outlaw's Den. Also would be awesome.
  2. The change has NOT adversely affected WZs. if anything, people fight harder throughout. If it's getting to be a runaway, sure. But that also keeps the ***hats who used to get to 5-0 in Huttball from stalling for valor. Remember how it used to be? A team would go up 2-0 and that was it. People would start leaving. heck, they;d leave at 1-0. That doesn't happen any more. It's awesome now. I've been in more close games since the change where the competition continues throughout the WZ time limit or until someone wins. Great change was great. The valor keeps people in, the medal cap keeps people from stalling.
  3. They are a new 50 and don't know the big step up from the 10-49 bracket, probably. Or maybe they made some dumb decisions with their money and pick-ups along the way. Could be lots of reasons. But if there's 1 in every match, that means the other side has one too, right? So who cares?
  4. Well, at least the main post was well-written and thought-out with some excellent bullet points accompanied with theories and examples to back them up. It also wasn't 1-sided in any way.
  5. Inquisitors and Sages are used a lot. In other breaking news, the sky is blue and I the Earth is round.
  6. True, they don't. but they can spec an uppercut. They can also kill the sage/sorc. But that is beside the point. It shouldn't be up to THOSE guys to do this. They are carriers. The sage/sorc, ops/smugs and marauders should be dealing with these guys.

    Dueling advice?

Run around like a chicken with your head cut off. Circle your opponent. Kill them. Dance on their dead body. Rejoice.
  8. And Jedi/Warriors can jump. Who frikkin cares? At least a friendly pull takes some setup and skill. Don't like it? Look for the sorc/sages around ledges and knock them off. There's nothing wrong with pulling. It's especially helpful if thee ball carrier is a... 'special' person.
  9. On Vulkar Highway, it started slow on Ilum today and I was pissed off about the kills counting in WZs. I knew they were coming but I didn't know it was 3 per WZ (50 WZs to complete to get your weekly?) It wasn't that it wasn't enough. it was that no one was showing up to Ilum so they could WZ for the kills. I thought "are these people completely stupid? That will take forever." So I went onto Black Talon for a quick run with a new 50 in the guild. I returned to Ilum for PvE dailies and saw there was action. To my happy eyes, there was INDEED action! Looks like people figured it out. just took them a little while. So I urge you all, get to Ilum. Go to a bridge and battle it out on it. You can do this for hours, long after you're done your weekly. To your hearts frikkin content. For valor, of course, hit up WZs.
  10. You guys realize that sorcerers aren't OP, they are BROKEN? As in you can exploit double-hits on your enemy and everyone knows it? And then everyone specs in that special way so they can do it? And THAT is the problem because whenever I go up against a madness sorc, they are doing it and it's devastating. As a healer sorc I don't/can't do it. And the bubble isn't the problem. Every time I see that, I laugh.
  11. We have some great battles on Ilum on Vulkar Highway. No doubt there is plenty of base door humping as the republic population is lower than Imperial, but just yesterday there was a tremendous battle across Ilum. I'd say it was close to 50 vs 50. Republic did NOT have less than 40, for sure. Frame rate was insane. As for the 9-12 man WZs, I see it a lot on our republic side. I haven't been on a side with more than 8 (yet) so we'll see if that ever happens. I'm guessing you mostly have to MAKE that happen? Not sure if randoms end up with the cheaters or not. But I hate it.
  12. I've been in several matches where someone says "vote for your healers" and it warms my cold heart. Also, I was in a match the other day where an inquisitor was using consumption over and over while an operative shot their heal at them. There were 3 of them at a turret "defending it" while the 5 of us tried to take any other turret which of course did not happen since these *******es weren't helping. (sidetracked convo) Anyway, yea I see this, too. But also, guilds/friends generally vote for each other so that is another factor.
  13. Here's another tip: Make it so you can zoom out your view distance to max. It makes throwing 'up' a LOT easier. Zoom out and click the walkways without having to tilt the cam. Otherwise it's basically just an AoE. Also keep in mind, if the person you are throwing to is stunned and an enemy is near the circle, they will intercept it.
  14. I'd also like to add that as a healer at least you do NOT need to be in the group to receive credit for a kill. I was not in a group and I was AoE healing and receiving my daily kills and valor. I was a bit surprised by it, but it works.
  15. OP is so off track it's unbelievable. As a Healer Sorc I can tell you that all those damage medals are out of my reach unless I (A HEALER) am the worst healer in the world and I am going for damage. You talk like damage spec SI/JC are also healing gods or that a healer is also a damage god. They are not. you cannot even cross-breed them to be. It's especially difficult in Huttball to get the higher healing medals since people are moving and you can't toss down the AoE heal and heal at the same time. And I bet in 95% of the WZ you play you see DPS classes at the top of the list for medals and people with high heals are down around 4-5 medals.
  16. Is this a troll thread? The OP isn't serious, right? Right? /humanity
  17. Right, that's why I said that they can't allow you to mess with your equipment once in a WZ. Or maybe if you are queue'd for a WZ. Anyway, this was an idea. Can't be worse than what's in place. Just need some some safeties in place so people can't fiddle with their gear.
  18. Right, exactly. But if you aren't wearing PvP gear (or much of it) if you balance teams by expertise you would not get a bunch of green 50s vs a group of BMs/Champs. It would at least have for example, a guild of 4 BMs and 4 greens vs a guild of 4 BMs and 4 greens (or possibly an 8-man champ group). Anyway, lots of combos. And yes, the PvE gear would have to be smartly addressed so that doesn't become the ultimate WZ gear so you can roll green 50s all day.
  19. The shockwater nerf is terrible. They can just FIX shockwater, not make it useless. Why make it useless? You go thru all that to get it and it's a use-up 2-stack? Terrible. Nerfs are bad. Balances are good. They nerfed it and made it useless.
  20. Isn't the best way to tell if a person is high level PvP by their expertise level? It tells you they have PvP gear on and how much, right? So why don't they matchmake and balance teams by expertise? Of course, if they do this they MUST make it so you cannot change gear once in a warzone. Otherwise people will go in naked and throw on their BM gear to roll newbs all day. I guess it wouldn't take into account Rakata/PvE gear though so there would have to be some sort of match-making number associated with that. But I'd think Expertise would be a good way to start properly matchmaking so teams are balanced.
  21. Oh, God.. I hate that garbage. Talk about a classless move and it can only really happen when it's a geared-out group vs a not geared-out group (which happens too much). I don't leave when that happens, though, I just stay far away and wait it out. If they want valor form killing me, they can come find me.
  22. I generally don't leave a warzone if we're losing unless I notice the other team is one of those 11-man teams which is becoming a rampant problem... Reason I don't leave is "why leave?" I mean, you get comms if you don't leave and valor. Take the loss like a man, get the comms and those add up to a bag, too. I don't get all the abandoning of WZ's.
  23. This thread hurts my brain, but here I go. Sorc shield is gone in one shot. Cannot re-shield for 30 seconds after they put it on. You will destroy a sorc is you get near them. They have 1 stun. You can break it. They can run away, you can leap to them. Dead sorc is dead. And what is this about sorces kiting? Most of their abilities make them stand still. I feel like the real OP complaint comes from people thinking A sorc is killing them in a WZ when it's really another one nailing them when they are focused on another one.
  24. the one issue I see with this is when there is a major power balance issue (like I see so often). Imps own all points and if the boxes are spread out it just makes it easier for them to get their dailies done and leave. Rebs try to get boxes and are still either overrun by Imps and unable to get dailies done or all Imps have left so now Repubs need to take 3/5 for boxes. Problem with that is now Ilum isn't about PvP, it's about spawn camping boxes. Personally, I don't think the boxes should spawn unless there is a serious balance shift (if ever). What needs to happen is remove the kill count by that auto-kill cannon. Make Imps and rebs come out of that base for their kills, not count on the cannon doing all the work for them while they just pull them into it.
  25. A sorc holding the ball without a sprint is useless. This makes no sense to me. What if you ARE somehow queued with a ton of sorc and you can't sprint? You can get taken down in seconds vs just about anybody. Survivability is basically zero. At least with the ability to sprint there's a chance. Not to mention that usually BOTH teams have sprinters so what does it matter? And I'd say most scores are by tanks being healed anyway. Heck, I've seen Battle Master Powertechs just walk thru everybody with no fear or care but I don't hear anyone complaining about that.
