  1. INTRO I don't know how many other players I can speak for, but I can assume I have a few who agree. Some of us are pilot gamers, it's our role and passion. We have our reasons, whether it's the joy and thrill of traveling at high speeds, barrel-rolling and such, or... Well no, it's usually pretty much that. Flying is fun, and it can relieve tension and get your mind off things. (I don't know if this applies to real-life flying, which I want to do, but I assume it does.) PROBLEM Right now, we have two forms of flying. Starfox style rail-shooters with our flagships, and Galactic Starfighter matches against other players. The rail-shooter speaks for itself in terms of lack of freedom. You aim and you shoot, using the arrow keys and spacebar to avoid enemy fire but never deviating from the path. Then in GSF, you have a big open space to play around in, but going off on your own just to fly around, enjoy the scenery and "see what this baby can do" hampers your team's effectiveness because you're off boning around. PROPOSITION There's been suggestions before about PVE space zones, and that would certainly allow the freedom I'm suggesting. There would be missions to carry out, quests to grind, etc. But also just a big open space that allows you to test out your ship's loadout and capabilities however you see fit. I would also like to take it another step forward and suggest that different planets have their own flight zones. Perhaps these would be battlegrounds with Republic and Imperial ground forces duking it out and you could come in and do attack runs or carry out other objectives, but also fly around on the planet surface and dodge obstacles like buildings and rock formations just for fun. CONCLUSION Adding something like this will give people another activity to spend time on. If they get the itch to fly around at high speeds in an open Star Wars environment, SWTOR would conveniently be able to suit that desire. Thank you for taking time to read my suggestion, and I hope someone makes something of it.
  2. I second this. Especially swoop or pod races. Technically you can do races anywhere at anytime, and even for credits if you want, by getting a group of guildees or like-minded individuals together and planning it. HOWEVER, let's go ahead and compare our maximum of speed Speeder Rank 3 (roughly 30-40mph, city streets stuff) to the podrace seen in Episode 1 or the swoop racing minigame in KOTOR. There simply IS no comparison. Either we need higher speeder ranks, or a dedicated racing minigame with high speeds.
  3. There totally is one. I got the reference and let out a "HAAAA!" when some NPC mentioned "1138." I'm just afraid it was a class quest and I'd have to play through all the classes again just to find it. But there is most definitely a line in SWTOR mentioning 1138. EDIT: Lulz. The guy above me found it. Props, sybaf!
  4. There really are some crazy possibilities that I hope BW cashes in on. Even if they do have to "cash" in on it I'd be fine because I've wanted inter-legacy interaction since they created the legacy system.
  5. We'll be getting the ability to place our companions around our strongholds, but here's your chance to test the grounds for more Legacy interaction by allowing us to place other characters within our legacy in our strongholds as well. Players can come home to their family, or be greeted by allies all of the player's creation. I think it could be a really rewarding aspect to the new feature.

    Thought about this myself. /support!
  7. That'a boy. That's seriously what I've been doing for the past month. Despite the crap people give it, it really is an entire game in and of itself.
  8. I agree with this, however, I will say that BF1 has MASSIVE nostalgic value and that makes it really fun to play as well. And as for the DICE thing, I used to think so too. I thought I'd be super offended if they just made Battlefield: Star Wars edition. But then I realized... I freaking love Battlefield and I freaking love Star Wars. So even if they just slapped the two together, I'd be really happy. However, by what I've been reading, it sounds like they're going to really put their hearts into it and do the game justice. So I'm super excited
  9. Very good point. Never thought about that at all. I wonder how much I've missed..
  10. If you want a more overweight female body-type, leave the current type 4 how it is. Excuse me if this seems "narrow-minded" but I can't think of many other games that allowed men to wear women's clothing. Even SWG had those restrictions. It seems like people are shocked that it's how it is, and it's not like any male character in any of the movies wears women's clothing. It's just a weird concept for me to get my mind around. Why do people feel the need for that?
  11. Agreed. Especially male Hunters with Mako. Just because she's linked to the cybernet doesn't mean that every interaction I have with her after getting together be through mail. Seriously. I've played other classes, and they have more interaction than the Hunter and Mako. You ask her to marry her, and don't speak a word to her afterwards. She just keeps sending you mail...
  12. Any revisions, suggestions, or commentary is accepted in my book. Thanks!
  13. Oh heck yes. This is a good one BioWare! Someone read this!

Couldn't agree more! If you guys could voice support on my New Expansion: Warfronts thread, we might be able to get somebody's attention. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=730991
  15. I agree. Restore more stun to a class that can sit back and apply stupid amounts of damage at 30m with Disturbance.
  16. First, deep breath please. Secondly, it's a market/business tactic, and a very classic and effective one at that. It's called scarcity. And the basic idea of scarcity is that the less of a valuable something there is, the more people want it, i.e. the more they're willing to pay money for it. So it's nearly guarenteed that we'll see those packs again. Oh wait! We did once. They brought the first batch of packs back for a limited time. And if you look at this video: http://www.swtor.com/info/media/trailers/star-wars%E2%84%A2-old-republic%E2%84%A2-insider-%E2%80%93-march-2014, you'll see that they're creating a new pack that is SPECIFICALLY for the purpose of people getting the old armor sets. They talk about it at point 1:50 in that video. Wish granted.
  17. Wow....This is the most idiotic, elitest, narrow-minded, unintelligent thing I've ever read lol. You want to talk about yourself personally? Ok. Your morals are messed up, which is why the game decisions (based on the morals of most normal people) don't make sense. Good day.
  18. Dear Bioware, Sometime early next month you'll be releasing Invasion, followed a few months after by Galactic Strongholds. I'm offering a proposition for the next expansion, and it's somewhat in the direction you're starting to take things with Invasion. I'd like to direct your attention to my last two threads. Skirmishes: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=706463 Assault Starfighter Maps: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=730987 These two, combined with any ideas you can gather from other players or come up with yourselves, could be included in Game Update ##: Warfronts (or similar name.) The overall goal is to immerse your players in a massive, larger than life conflict. The galaxy is at war, it's time we felt like we were really a part of it. I feel like the epic battles that make Star Wars what it is are missing from the game at this point. Ep. 1 - Battle of Naboo Ep. 2 - Geonosis Ep. 3 - Kashyyk, Utapau, various others Ep. 4 - Battle of Yavin Ep. 5 - Battle of Hoth Ep. 6 - Battle of Endor The closest thing we have to a real war-front in SWTOR currently would probably be, as I said in Skirmishes, the Battle for Corellia (Although, my trooper says himself he "wasn't part of the fighting" when going through the intro to the Black Hole content, leading me to believe there was a bigger battle we didn't get to see.) But compare that slow-paced questing to the battle of Hoth or Geonosis, and there's no comparison. I want my trooper in a fray like that. I hope a BioWare employee takes the time to read this, and I look forward to all the great content coming our way, both announced and unannounced. Thank you, ~Srual Player since Beta (Tl;dr) Click the links, make an expansion with what I talk about in those.
  19. Sort of an addition to my Skirmishes idea found here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=706463 I'd like to see some more maps located within the planet's atmosphere, with bunkers, generators, or some other main objective target on each side. The goal is to destroy the other team's objectives while keeping your own intact. We could even utilize the same idea as Alderaan Civil War with two small frigates on either side of the map, and the goal is to destroy it. What would make it awesome is if we see a bunch of ground forces fighting in the background to give it the feel of this massive conflict.
  20. 100% This. Mass Effect for ranged classes, Tera for Melee
  21. Slow and ridged. I wish they'd tweek things a little.
