  1. I guess SWTOR having its own damage meter is one of those Bioware's perennial taboo subjects ... like ability delays and performance issues
  2. This is defeatism, at best. "Damned if they do, damned if they don't" is almost a universal position for such companies and for such situations. That doesn't mean they should just stick to silenge; in fact, that can backfire even more. I really don't see the point of being "chicken" about it and just stay silent, what does that tell about the company? Certainly not anything good.
  3. The thread (or similar threads) has been ongoing since release, literally hundreds of posters have shared their feedback and provided tons of evidence. I have personally communicated with well over 100 players in this game, participating in endgame content since the very beginnig. Pretty much everyone who's raided and done pvp has been plagued by this issue and with 2.0 the bug is back in full force. So do some research, browse the history of the thread(s) and stop dictating to me this problem is a mere inconvenience in my private little universe. Simply browse "swtor ability delay" on YouTube and you'll have pages of videos demonstrating this issue. Until then, stop making an idiot of yourself by trying to designate this issue as an inconvenience experienced by a couple of angry nerds.
  4. And what exactly is "on topic" by your definition here? What exactly is your intent other than providing pointless statements, such as "Bioware doesn't owe you anything" or "every MMO has problems"?
  5. Funny you should mention redundancy here, because to designate a thread a QQ thread, you're already including the OP as a QQ-er, at least on the immediate level; stating specifically that he is a QQ-er is only redundant information. If the thread was created by an automatic response system, then you could argue there is no such thing as a QQ-er OP.
  6. No, it makes him an Italian speaker. Calling a thread a QQ thread may not mean that the OP is a wholesome QQ-er, but it definitely makes him at least a temporary target of this negative designation, and that is the crux of the matter here.
  7. A foolish action makes that person a fool ... a person's character is determined by his actions. How else would you determine character?
  8. A QQ thread is made by an actual person, the content of QQ can only be provided by the person that QQ-s, therefore calling the thread a QQ thread immediately includes the OP of the thread. Please, demonstrate my error in this train of logic, or bettery yet, my shallow grasp of the English language.
  9. I have no idea what you're dribbling about. Obviously, you have reversed the situation here to fit your twisted perspective. All I and the others who are affected by the ability delays on a daily basis are trying to say here is that you and Andryah who obviously do not participate in NiM or ranked WZs and who are obviously not affected by this flaw or think that it's a minor inconvenience need to stop dictating to people what is and what is not a convenience. At least have some common courtesy not to interfere here if it doesn't concern you.
  10. When you label a certain thread QQ, you automatically label the OP of the thread QQ-er, it comes with the territory. Simple logic of universal containing the particular/individual.
  11. Would really like an actual Bioware response here, but hey, I'm obviously asking too much. If Andryah's "intelligent" contributions á la "every MMO has problems" will keep the thread bumping, then so be it. Maybe two years of bumping the thread will yield a yellow response, then those who are still playing the game (not forum lurking and dribbling with level 30 alts, killing Jawas on Tatooine) can die happy.
  12. How much do you think it took them to come up with this lame reward? Why more than 5 mins, surely you can come up with something better in 5 mins, can't you? If you can, and I think you can (I certainly can), then it is not hyperbole, but a simple fact. How about buying a consumable (let's say valor boost), consuming it and thus destroying it? Would that make me slightly less hypocritical according to your special category of "super duper hypocrisy criterion"? What if I buy something, then trade it to someone? I did actually buy rename change for some f2p player, does that count, or do I seriously need to buy a certain item and then destroy it and maybe fraps myself doing so?
  13. Some love to pontificate that every MMO has its share of problems, and that this "universal explanation" will simply put our minds to rest and that the problem will somehow wither away because "all MMOs have issues". However, to be specific, not all MMOs have ability delay issues. In fact, I'm quite sure SWTOR is the only triple A MMO that embarrassingly displays this odd glitch since beta.
  14. This "gift" is more like a creative labour of how to come up with the most asinine reward imaginable. I mean, you really have to be creative to come up with this - 500 CC and the option to buy the title for CC ... if this took them more than 5 mins to fathom, then I'm Pope John Paul. At this point I honestly believe absolutely no reward would be better than this. But then again, we have to realize these are the same people that wished us Happy Life Day for Xmas in the form of a suggestion to buy the CM XMas pack. SWTOR - creatively deterring people to subscribe since 2011
  15. Because people that boast about great performance and "over 9000" fps don't take into account important stuff like cruising through 100+ people on the fleet, 16man Ops, Warzones, and any type of activity that involves more than 16 players on the screen actively playing. It's getting really tiresome hearing about this awesome performance when soloing 3 mobs on empty Tython, but hey, at this point I really don't care anymore
  16. As a matter of fact, she is indeed incorrect. This conversation is not by any means over my head; if it's over anyone's head, it is people like you and Andryah who are mere forum lurkers and Bioware defenders without actually playing the game thoroughly. If you play nightmare ops and pvp a lot, this issue is not a mild inconvenience, it is quite gamebreaking. Both nightmare ops and pvp, especially ranked, require split second reactions and your character executing abilities flawlessly. Ability delays make this a virtual impossibility very frequently, so it's quite common-sensical to regard this issue as one of the glaring and inherent gamebreaking problems of SWTOR since its inception. So, please, you and Andryah and other biodrones who defend the game as if your well-being is at stake stop making a fool out of yourselves and actually play the game before defending it to the death and dismiss ability delays as a "mild invonvenience". Oh, and they haven't responded to this issue for over a year. How that is acceptable so Bioware defenders is beyond me. But I guess it's perfectly natural to not be concerned by this or care for people that are plagued with this issue on a regular basis since you don't even play the game that seriously. But it would be nice or at least relevant not to dictate to others what is or is not "mild inconvenience" or something gamebreaking, especially to people who have provided clear evidence (even videos) and are affected by this on a daily basis.
  17. Funny you're mentioning realism because the devs clearly stated they went for stylised graphics instead of realistic ones with SWTOR. Again, both realism and superior looks are not of much worth in an MMO.
  18. Well, DG NiM was difficult to heal for the first few tries, then it becomes second nature. Sure, the fight still has some rng to it and sometimes tanks can go splat if not 100% focused, but my trauma mostly lies in seeing enrages all the time because DPS couldn't pull their weight. Oh, and it's called "division of labour" - the hand on your mouse should be used for character turning and occasional target clicking (if TAB targetting fails to function properly), the keyboard for ability executions. Using your mouse hand for doing both character movement and ability executions is gimping yourself by default. Q.E.D.
  19. Your only argument here is a ridiculous statement, nothing else.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LarH-EknnU - Is this him? As far as I can see, he has keybinds for most, if not all abilities. And I am a good player, starting with the fact that I don't drag my cursor around the UI like an invalid just to execute abilities.
  20. Grats on your worthless graphics superiority. You do realize SWTOR having better graphics and being an MMO isn't gonna turn manure into gold, right? In fact, this is what most modern MMOs fail to realize - pretty graphics just make everything more hardware demanding, especially when it comes to the most important aspect of an MMO, namely massively multiplayer gameplay.
  21. Just because this isn't a PvP-centric game, it doesn't mean Bioware can just throw that aspect of the game into the trash bin and start waving Andryah's flag of surrender with the title on it "this is not the PvP game you're looking for". I seriously don't see the point in this argument - if it's not a 100% pvp game, does that mean pvp deserves the treatment it is getting by default; does that mean pvp players should play other games? What kind of helpful solution is this? Anyone who's seriously played pvp in SWTOR can see major downfalls of it and also major potential for it, it's absolutely counter-productive for the whole game to not focus on the latter aspect.
  22. No, it doesn't look worse. In fact, some of the environmental details, such as shadows and water, are better looking in WoW, at least to me. I don't think SWTOR has sun shafts, but WoW certainly does and it looks great. There's also directx10 functionality in WoW, but that doesn't affect the looks, I guess. The biggest difference, I'd say, is in model textures, including armor pieces - they look miles better in SWTOR.
  23. Guilds and pugs in WoW range from super duper dribblers to dribblers. Clicking through content like LFR or normal modes is hardly an indication that you play more efficiently than by memorising your keybinds and pressing your abilities. Similar to SWTOR, WoW PvE content ranges from extra retarded to difficult. Would like to know about those clickers who do world first clears heroic modes in WoW ... I'm quite positive they are an extinct species just like here due to the simple logic that no real raider who possesses an inkling of common sense would gimp themselves while the alternative is much better. When it comes to my Ops mates being clickers. Yes, indeed, some of them were and it showed immediately - couldn't breach a certain DPS threshold no matter what, and now they can only kill the first boss in TFB NiM and S&V NiM, but that's mainly because the others are "carrying" them. "Fantastic clicker" - love that term, kind of like special olympics.
