  1. This is absolutely true. How is there not a reward for actually playing the minigame? Granted it's hard - get the ball and if the other team is smart you'll be frozen for a good long time and maybe never get a chance to pass. But, hey, that just means there shouldn't be a penalty for not getting a pass off. There should be a small reward for passing and a medal and points, at least, for scoring. An assist reward for a pass leading to a score would be nice, but the other to really need to be there.
  2. You start with "I reached for it and it wasn't there." I stopped reading after that.
  3. Check out the number of subscriptions and the number of people already doing 6-month signups. Not seeing this being F2P ahead of GW2. No wonder TOR disappoints you; you already live in a fictional universe.
  4. Really? The game is broken for you? Works just fine for me. I think you're lying.
  5. My thoughts exactly. Kill him first, though, and you have a chance with the Sith. Beware, though, she will rush your squishy character before she dies and hit him/her with the kitchen sink. Hold on to every interrupt for the end.
  6. OK, thanks for your permission. Game's great. Haven't met anyone playing it who didn't think so. Haven't met anyone who played it that didn't think so. And you're talking about a site famous for troll reviews in the user section. Yeah, I'll go ahead and ignore it.
  7. I'm enjoying it much more than I ever enjoyed MMO. So for me, it's not only a huge success, but it's better than the king. I have no idea if I'll be playing it much a year from now. I'm sure I'll be playing months from now, though. As an initial offering, I think it's pretty awesome and it lived up to my expectations. It clearly has WoW fanboys on the defensive.
  8. I love the story for Smuggler. Didn't get far on Knight - not because I didn't like it, but because I'm just really enjoying the smuggler's storyline.
  9. I had early access. I've played at least a little ever since, and was off for a few days to boot. And I'm at 26. I think the leveling is fine. When I finish this character, a smuggler, I will play a Jedi or start up with the Sith to enjoy the other storylines. There are at least 4 that will be very different, starting on a different planet from the others - in addition to the differences in, say, Trooper and Smuggler, who start out on the same planet. There's a ton of content, and right now I'm doing exactly what I wished I could do when I played KOTOR - continuing as a smuggler and not being a goody two shoes Jedi.
  10. Never tried Galaxies. Heard terrible things. Tired WoW twice. Didn't like it either time, and the second was playing with friends who were crazy about it. LOTRO was my previous favorite
  11. The game is great. It made me kick Skyrim to the curb. Playing it every chance I get. And to answer the idiotic question...I'm not in game because I'm at work.
  12. There are several. OK It's at least as good as other MMOs I played in, especially at launch. Graphics are pretty much on par with other MMOs. Don't care. Still don't care Blizzard had years of data to go by and Cata by some accounts was not as big a draw. This is a brand new creation, so of course it hasn't "evolved" yet. Expecting that would be dumb. Pretty happy with how my character looks. Never played Aion. I'm enjoying my character's arc. Again, how long has WoW been around? Didn't expect it to have as much content as WoW, did you? Not feeling grindy. Because of, you know, story. That's just a silly complaint. They've used more voice actors than any MMO. So your character has a catch phrase? Neat. I'm digging my smuggler's dialogue, including the lines he has repeated in different situations right before starting a fight. I count 3. That's still plenty. Not expecting 20 choices for dialogue, especially in an MMO. Gold? Gosh, the brand-new MMO has blemishes? Burn it! Man, a lot of these sure seem like you just wanted everyting WoW had that you liked to be here immediately. Clearly, no.
  13. No. Think I'll talk about PvP the way I want it to be and not "Shhh." Wish there was an icon with an extended middle finger to give you, but I think you get the idea.
  14. I do them, and enjoy them. They're purely optional anyway.
  15. Absolutely true, which is why the PvP crowd isn't getting traction. There's nothing fun about getting ganked. I don't see the fun in ganking people. Or in trying to make them rage. It doesn't add a thing to the game for me, and having it done detracts from the game. Good job by Bioware on how they're handling this.
