  1. Wrong again. This is a MMORPG. not a FPS one. Have you thought you bought a wrong game?. I think is that. Look, is very simple. Again, GW2 is NOT out yet. You CANT review anything you DONT know. Again, same question: put a name on the table with good OPEN PVP. ONLY one. There is not but older ones like DaoC or something like that. Your arguments are invalid one by one. Simply you dont like the game. It doesnt mean the game is bad.
  2. 1. GW2 is not out yet. When it does, you can compare. Not now. Is out of discussion. Name me a game like SwTor with good Open PvP. Only one. Open PvP is not about ganking low levels. That is not PvP. Is crap. 2. Expertise works ok. Is basicly the same than temple in Wow and that stat is working there since Burning Crusade. 3. Classes are quite ok. Sure some tweakings are needed (Tankassins, some burst damage, gapclosers etc) but overall, works ok. 4. i dont like resolve bar but works. Problem here is that much people uses the CC´s and doesnt check the resolve bar and they come to whine here when is a player lack of skill. 5. Scoundrel or Ops healer is one of the most powerful classes in PvP. Also, Guards, taunts are there to be used. A healer guarded and protected or not is like night and day.

    Use your brain before writing, you didnt. First: Bioware ALREADY said that they are fixing aggro issues giving the tanks more survivality and more better aggro management. They dont need damage, they need tanking tools. Both are different concepts. Right now tanks NEEDS damage to get aggro in PvE. You remember Sunder Armor x 5 in Wow Classic?. Well, here is where BW failed. And this flaw made Tankassin a God mode in PvP. If you dont why, use your brain. Is really easy.

    Tankassin in PvP ia an outrage right now. But their days will end with 1.3, be sure. They are fixing the tanks aggro management and will look for something more logical: less damage but more aggro = dead of Tankassins in dps gear. Sorry but in PvP a tank should be a tank, a guy guarding healers and protecting people and not doing 100k-300k in a warzone plus outstanding defensive tools. It is not a tank, is God. I think it was not fixed in 1.2 cos they needed to fix the aggro issue first.
  5. Tera is another combat mechanic. Someone loves, other not. I dont like, for example. Combat in ToR is fun. Not hard to play but fun. And it is (fun) what does matter here. If you wanna make hard stuff, join the NASA and work on some proyects there. This is a videogame, a massive multiplayer video game. SwTor was designed as a story line PvE MMORPG. PvP was there but is pretty clear they didnt focus on it. You can´t wait for miracles and expanding the PvP content takes some time. Sure they working on it right now, just patiente or play another game.

Yep, is an agro dump but BW, as Marauder is a melee class, maybe thought putting a vanish thing, damage reduction and speed boost on it to avoid bosses cleaves, areas etcetc. Just making dps melees stronger in pve fight where ranged dpsers dont get that kind of issues. But they failed in PvP clearly. Imo, is not working on intended in PvP situations.
  7. I dont understand why a melee class like Marauders got a vanish. Is not needed at all. I think BW put the skill as a panic button for pve encounters, same as Undying Rage. But in PvP, is totally stupid. For me is just funny seeing those coward Marauders vanishing and running out of combat like chickens when smelling the death. Good ones know how use the skill but bad ones are laughlable and i have some fun when they do that. Anyway, i think Scoundrels are ok with Dissapeariing Act being 3 mins cooldown (2 mins being Scrapper). Is about not spamming that skill but using wisely. Dodge is not broken, just weak cos dodge 100 % range and melee attacks, not tech and force.
  8. In game, when you have done infinte warzones in 1.2 like me, you are able to see what is and not working. I faced terrible Marauders who had no idea how popping Camo or Undying etc and dying in a few but at the end you know is not about L2P, you know something is not working at all if you see other dps classes. Warzones are a dps/damage fest much more than pre-1.2 even when healers do good yet. For example, 5 secs dps inmunity shield is a hell of time right now. The time you spend killing a Marauder, you have killed 3 sorcerers or Snipers (both classes can´t resist a decent focus) and even when you are near to kill him, just can vanish and gets other few secs extra for defending a door/turret, kill the healer etc til he´s dead (if not full healed, of course). We cant only stop reading the final stats (damage, healing, objetives, prot) when a warzone ends, we should NOT stop. 500k damage means nothing if you dont care about attacking/defending objetives. I know some guys in my server who deals an isane damage but are useless cos dont play for objetives and dont defend at all, just running all the time dpsing the first they see. It is cos Tankassins are so good in warzones. They dont need to put much damage or not able to kill a healer but they survive enough to be the best ball carriers, defend points, ninja objetives etcetc. A well played Marauder is devastating and the best dps class in PvP right now in terms of dps, defences and grouping buffs. Is an all in all. Ranged dps classes are a joke and there is not balance at all. BW must fix this if we want to have fun when ranked warzones.
  9. Plus Cloak of Pain and Undying Rage. It is a hell of outstandings skills. Too much for a high dps class. Marauders can counter everything and right are, by far, the best dps class in pvp.
  10. No, is not. You face the truth about Gunslinger at 50. This class only was buffed since the release. It explains everything.
  11. Has been told here many times even when 1,2 was in PTS yet. Is not about resolve bar, about kite, about dps, about L2P. Is very simple: a high dps class + awesome defensive cds is NOT balanced at all. We will see what BW thinks soon about Tankassins and Marauders. I guess a well deserved nerf in PvP.
  12. I reported some guys using speed hack but at low speed. Basicly, melees running a bit faster than normal speed. Best we can do is reporting every cheater we see. I know some banned by BW so the reporting works and helps them a lot i think.

    Im glad im not in the same server than those guys. I dont care if BW was not right or not, you sucked bringing this crap here. Who cares about a group doing something in Hoth? who the hell you think you are? who cares if a GM did right or not?. Too sad. "Is a PvP server, BW liars and blablabla"....what a piece of crap, guys. Grow up a bit and dont flame this forum with such irrelevant things.
  15. Even when you put some valid arguments, in practice MM sucks in PVP. Ballistic dumpers is pretty unstable and even, any specc can pick it if wanted. At the same time you can be healed, your enemy too. Entrench is nice but you cant move during those 20 secs, melees can destroy you easily. The aoe reduction is more for PvE encounters, not PvP. Smart enemies see your entrench easily and wont waste some skills/CC´s when you have put on. Eng and Leth got some issues with the CC´s cos the dots, thats true but overall they got better resources cos dont need to be in cover for the best shots and many of them are tech, not weapon damage+ranged. I played as my GS everything and tested a lot of things, many speccs. Right now, i think Sab (Eng) is the best one, you lack the MM burst or the 1vs1 Leth but even being the hardest one to play, gives the highest performance in warzones. Anyway, Sniper/GS need some work yet, not only MM. Even when puts very nice damage on the table, needs better ways to defend himself. Cover is nice cos avoiding leaps etc but not enough. Shields are crap and is very vulnerable to dots as well. i just hope 1.3 brings some interesting changes cos needs badly.

  18. This viedo is pure garbage. Right now PvP in SwTor are Warzones: 8vs8 fighting in small battlegrounds. You can try to kite a guy but another will be hitting you, or aoe, or comething of CC and your kitting is useless. Try to kite in the middle of Civil War or Voidstar, you wont. The better you will do is LoSing out using columns etc, playing defensive.
  19. You read the defensive skills and a smart guy thinks....omg!!! what the hell BW was thinking??. Problem about Marauders is that is a very very very very very annoying class for ranged and healing classes. And it is not good for a game cos players dont have fun with these kind of things. the more Marauders are in a wz, the less fun. Is just players jumping on and on, putting coward and stupid inmmunity shields etcetc. High dps class with so powerful defensive tools and with low cooldowns is something i dont understand and not good for this game. It happened with Operatives. A guy doing an atrocius burst damage with the victim having not choice, just dying. It is not fun, same about Marauders right now. PT got a high burst damage and it must be tweaked a bit but PTs are not annoying and much more controlable and balanced.
  20. Thinking this is accurate, 1099 dps is huge damage if we talk about a specc with great defensive tools plus stealth, vanish, guard and taunt. Sorry but that shows how OP that specc is for PvP. Just check the numbers of Operatives/Snipers/Sorcerers/Mercenaries, and being dps, see the defensive tools they got. Anyone saying Tankassin are ok in PVP (warzones) right now doesnt know is talking about or doesnt want to say the truth.
  21. Organizated PvP will send some steath class to unplug you, for example. And then your burst is like zero cos MMs are like butter. Besides, combo weapon damage+ranged is terrible in PvP and MMs gets very limited cos it. Eng and Leth are by far better for PvP. Much more mobility, tech attacks etc. The best specc in terms of teamwork is Saboteur (Eng) cos Incendiary Grenade/Plasma Probe.

  24. They re revising aggro/survivality tanks and put them altogether at same level. Tanks need better aggro management, dont need damage cos it creates some issues in PvP. If you wanna do damage, pick a dps talent tree, not a tanking one. If a Sage can be healer, dps sucks for them. It doesnt happen with tanks like Assassins, for exmaple. It must be changed. They will.
  25. No, they are trying to fix the pve issue increasing the aggro tanks do. Basicly, decreasing the damage but increasing the aggro, also in terms of aoe, and survivality too. So you kill 2 birds with one shot. Tanks will get better aggro in pve and killing the Tankassin+ dps gear for PvP, which imo, is not working as intended.for. Tanks in PvP should NOT do even a decent damage. Is a defensive/protective role. Is a smart movement, imo.
