  1. /Signed, Remove Bolster! BW have listned to the PvE crowd when incorporating the Bolster system. By doing this they have removed alot of the fun in character progression form PvP. Why? So that the players that do not even play PvP are satisfied. Hence killing PvP in Swtor.

  3. Dear Bioware Tomb of Freedon Nadd stability has been declining ever since you stopped doing weekly maintenance. Warzones are lagging. Im getting kicked out of the game more often. We have started the new guild because we wanted to be able to recruit international players, our former guild is for swedes only. Eventhough mercs are underpowered at this moment a skilled player can still do good dps. And I believe your class is in for a major buff. Some of which have been playing among top guilds on the server. We have a clear plan of attack on how to develop a successfull ranked warzone setup.   7. Hello BW I play alot of PvP in Swtor. I have also played alot of PvP in WoW and Guild wars 2 (GW2). I really enjoy PvP in Swtor, actually so much that I have stopped playing other MMO:s. However, when it comes to competitive PvP you have some ground to cover. You have great potential but there are som key featurres that you are missing. So here are my suggestions: 1. Cross realm rated PvP with matchmaking system In order to get alot of poeple to start playing rated PvP you need more teams queueing. As of now alot of players deter from qeueuing because they get pummeled by the good teams every time they queue. And since there are no other teams queueing, casual players dont queue. If you could arrange a system like wow:s arena crossserver matchmaking system, it would solve this issue. You have discussed factors like building a community around every server and that crosserver warzones would destroy that. Well. If you keep regular warzones serverbased and let rated warzones queue cross-server you would manage to both eat the cookie and keep it 2. Ranking system for RWZ For rated warzones to become a huge hit, you need to add a posibility to compete with others. WIth cross server rateds you will fix alot of problems, but to truly bring PvP to the epic scales you need the ability to start PvP-teams and you also need a world ranking. 3. PvP-Balance To really get the balance you want in PvP, you need to recieve input from players who play the game on a competitive level. The first step is to enable character transfers to your PTR-realms. Which you now have done. To be honest I am surprised that it took you so long to do this. It is fundamental for testing class changes. Secondly you should do like Arenanet. Develop a close relationship with the active leading rated warzones teams in order to be able to have a dialog about class balance and what needs to be done. Arenanet have regular panel discussions which they record and stream. I believe this is the only way to truly gain an understanding of how the class balance is. It will also build support from the community concerning class balance. It is the only way to truly get the information you need in order to prevent classes from being too overpowered. 4. Warzones for practice matches If you want the teams to be able to do practicerounds you need to be able to pick a map and an opposition to do practice matches. 5. PvP TV What makes an e-sport? The answer: The ability to view matches either ingame or through an application. This is one of the things that really set off the huge playerbase in games like counterstrike through HLTV.   9. This is by far the most retarded thread I have ever read! What is your problem? If you want to just do PvE then dont do PvP content! There is a lot of options for you still! Believe it or not but this game is an MMO and it is supposed to have an open world plagued with conflict! If you dont like that? Well go play Diablo 3.. Theres some PvE corridors for you! Seriously?! would it hurt you so much to have to group with some scary PvP:ers to do your dailys? I think it would be a fun experience for you to explore new frontiers.   11. What I think it boils down to is the utter disaster the drop of subscribers have been and what toll the developing team had to pay for this. They simply do not have the manpower to manage a team for PvP-balancing, which is required if you want to be a competitive pvp-game. By not aknowledging this in 8 months they have clearly told us that they do not care. And that they do not have, either the competence or the the strenght to fix it. My guesse is sadly: both!
  12. This is ok if you play unrated and you support your unorganized team. The specc you are describing has no place in a well organized rated warzone team. Sorry to say. Your affliction spam and schocks acomplish absolutely nothing. Your bubblestuns should have been put out by the healer. It s great that you have found a way to enjoy playing the sorceror in PUGs and social games. So, I think, have the whole active sorc community. However, we lack the damage output on singletargets to be at all usefull in rated warzones. The following saying is a cliche but it summerizes everything: We are a glasscannon without a cannon..
  13. This is a mulitplayer game! They should encourage players to team up! If you want to play singleplayer you are most welcome but dont expect it to be better than teaming up with some friends or online player-friends. Cmon guys.. This is common sense!
  14. Hello Both Lightning and madness are fun. However, madness is the only viable dps specc if you want to do pvp. So, if you want to learn a playstyle that fits for both. I would go madness. Hope this helps. Best wishes Dratten

  16. hahah so true: "I am tired of looking like some Tim Burton inspired Goth-transvestite-peacock!" Well atleast we do not look like a little chicken or rooster like the BH does on the picture.. The design team is not "top notch".. Let us all conclude that. I wonder how many design mistakes that BW has done on this game? Hero engine, Ilum, closed worlds, unbalanced pvp.. Amazing =D Still love the game though.. must be the hope that BW will "fix it" that still keeps me here
  17. I too have a sorc 50 and a 50 PT. And yes the difference is astonishing. The sorcerers have been broken since 1.2. It is amazing that Bioware have let them be broken for almost 1 year now! Amazing! The problem is that they have had a balance team that has relied heavely on data from the warzones. I hope Bioware now or soon will realize that this is a poor way to balance classes. The only reason why sorcs are doing ok on the damage done boards in WZ is because we can spam affliction. Thats it! We can do alot of damage passively by just spreading it. The problem, however, is not how much damage we can do over the time of one warzone (there we are fine) but how much we can do if we engage someone in 1v1 or a similar circumstance. There we are terrible! To get the real damge done numbers they should remove the affliction damage done from their data and then they will see how horrific it really is! I am full WH min/maxed and I struggle to kill anything in 1v1. ofcourse I can duke and run around corners and in 5 min time maybe I can kill a sniper.. You get the point. I should be able to destroy subgeared players ( like the rest of the classes do). My force lightning feels weak.. Seriously around 1.1 k crits? So, what is my solution and why do I think it should be implemented? We need to be able to do some direct damage, and to it faster than what we do now. How to fix this without making us too OP? Up the damage from force lightning. Why? Becasue it prevents us from doing too much damage while on the move but still, when played right, gives us the ability to kill. We have to take a risk while standing still, but if done right we reap the rewards. I dont see any other way. Now to my plead. Please fellow sorcs, stand by me and demand an aknowledgement from BW. It is about time that they give us a solution to this problem or atleast some form of reply! Please Bioware, I have been a loyal subscriber for over a year, give us some peace of mind and bring back the fun for sorcerers! Best wishes! Dratten

  19. Hello all I have been playing sorceror more or less since launch with the main focus of PvP. I totally agree that we have been broken ever since 1.2 hit. By that time I was convinced that the developers surely understood the mistake that they had made. Something that time has proven that they surley have not. They must have no clue how it feels to play a sorceror and rely only on numbers such as damage done and kill/death ratio. I think we need more developers that actually spend alot of time playing the classes. I have been living on hope ever since 1.2. A hope that BW has squashed every singel time they have ignored our cries. I dont think we need more defensive abileties. We do however need to up the damage, either on the dots or on force lightning, or even both. I belive that with the proper damage output we would not need any more CC or escapes. A proper sorc with more damage capabilities would be able to avoid getting killed with proper placement and movement. And maybe, if we are lucky, be able to kill something and live to see it! I agree that the bubblestun must be removed. I hope that they replace it with more damageoutput! BW you are so close to perfecting this game! Please just help us fellow sorcs and maybe throw a bone to the mercs aswell! Merry Xmas to all! /Dratten
  20. First of all I want to say that I actually love PvP, from the warzone maps to the class mechanics. I am have alot of fun but I am missing some of the things that should be in a AAA title. I propose that they do the following: 1. Put more effort into class balancing. Why? - Because it is what keeps players playing. It is supposed to be a challange and it is supposed to be fun. Waiting 6 months for a nerf or a buff just does not cut it. The large crowd does not have that kind of patience. 2. Release ranked warzones with a ladder ranking system, with the posibility to add teams. Why? Because it will draw huge crowds that will want to compete for glory. Fans will flock and pour time and money to be like their idols. Excell in creating this and you will be a truly great MMO. 3. Add new gear for every season of Warzones and also vanity items. Why? - Because every kid that plays MMO likes gear-progression. It is the small goals and the increase in efficiancy that drives us to put in the time and effort. You want to be able to compete with the best and have the best possible gear. I know that some people will say that this is what kills competitive PvP. But I dont think that is the case. You learn alot by the trip from newly dinged 50 to full War Hero and fully augmented. By the time you are fully equiped you will hopefully be a more skilled player and be able to compete with the very best ( or atleast try). It s just something that is very fun along the way of becoming a better player. 4. Cross-server queus. - Why? Because you cannot build a thriving competitive PvP enviroment if you have to queu for as much time as you spend actually playing. Also you need to be able to compete with a larger base of players. 5. Release new warzones every now and then ( not a priority). Why? - Because we need variety. The above stated 4 points are vastly more important though. 6. Make it possible to watch live games. - Very important when it comes to PvP developement. You need to allow fans the possibility to watch their idols play. It is also a very important way for the developers to see how the game plays on the top levels. Doing this will bring back the competitive players who in their turn will bring back the fans and the ones that aspire to be like the pros.

  22. If you read my post again you will see that Im not talking about an overhaul. Quite the opposite actually. Im talking about adding features to what is done today. Not redo it. A ranked ladder for war zone teams is not that far fetched. Being able to watch ranked games should not be either. Adding more gear should be natural as well. So I really don't understand what you mean by me suggesting an overhaul?
  23. I don't see the problem with CC. It works in WoW and it works in SWTOR. If you complain about CC then you have clearly not played the game in RWZ.
