  1. I don't think (and just my opinion) that we will see a bonus wave tomorrow. They stopped waves very early yesterday and could have added more. I hope I am wrong. Just squeeze us in. We are all procrastinators, we will keep your starting zones populated for launch day!!
  2. Oh wow. Ordering in December may allow me to get into a guild. Well Pfft to those eager beavers playing over the last few days. How you like me now.... Dec 8
  3. I really don't consider myself a fanboy. Geez I am not even in-game yet. But I think people need to realize that Wow became the standard by using ideas from other games as well. For example Wow took Warhammer Online's guild progression years after wow launched and they saw how much people liked that part of WO. Their whole concept of instances taken from UO (maybe from somewhere before that). And I am sure many other examples. Basically I am saying that when someone comes up with a great Idea the industry will use a lot of the same in their projects. Wow is not the first to create these similarities you find. They were just the first to find a mass amount of subscriptions to become the "standard" if you will.
  4. What he means is they can kick you out of the guild if you somehow joined one. But they cannot kick you off the server. Your character can play anywhere you create it.
  5. I realize both sides of the argument. But seriously on the front page of their main site right now, the article heading for latest news says... "Fans who have pre-ordered STAR WARS: The Old Republic can now begin playing the game!" Yet there is still a large portion not able to. So there is some misinformation and advertising. And before I am flamed, when I get in, I get in. I really don't care myself when it is. But to say that wording is important and claim people can not read, the above heading shows a different story than "May get 5 days" or whatever. The simple point is this, wording for both arguments can be found to back up both sides. So really there is no need to insult those who had a different impression of what was advertised. Regardless, my only issue is that there was a clear lack of structure shown outside the BW building. I am sure they knew the plan. But I think some rough estimates of what was coming could have calmed a lot of the outrage that has been shown so far. For example, I ordered December. If on day one I knew there was no hope to get in. I would have not bothered to check. And again on day two. I would have understood my best hope was Friday. That is what I believe was the biggest error in judgement. If the timeframe for waves, and rough estimates of dates was out there before this all started, people would have been prepared.
  6. I saw much of the complaining going on today. And while I have frustrations, and was disappointed, I am not in the camp of making it into a deal breaker as it seems to be for some. Just looked forward to it, and realize it will be a little longer then I hoped. With that said, I do think BW could make the whole situation a little easier for everyone by including a % of pre-orders admitted. No perfect figure but a rough figure. Or a target day for the last pre-orders to be admitted. As an example if I knew they were aiming at getting everyone in by Sunday, and I purchased in December, I would have an idea of when BW hoped to get me in. Then extra waves or delays could give people an idea. Instead of the misinformation or blind speculation some are posting. It could ease some of those people's minds of what they can hope or expect. Just my thoughts.
