MY Jedi Sentinel Opinions.

This is MY opinion and if you disagree, thats your own problem.

These are only 1st impressions after a week as a Sentinel.

What BioWare did good;

- Captured the acrobatics of fighting in SW well.

Lightsaber moves look simply amazing.

- Made an excellent base for a class.

The concept of being a dual weilding maniac seems good, but doesn't appear to have been replicated well.

- Made a good story to go along

The story is captivating and I enjoy it very much, still not finished chapter one yet though ;L

- Made a strong PvP class

Every game needs one.

What BioWare did bad;

- Whats with the voices :S They sound so "I'm the nicest person ever to live"

I am currently Dark II and when I condemn a family to die I want to sound the part!

- The damage feels to be lacking a bit.

For example, when i'm in a group with a consular spec. I can be there fighting the boss, feeling like im doing well and accidentally stop for a second and see that the DPS on the boss appears not to drop, making me feel insignificant.

- The Talent Tree doesn't feel rewarding enough. (Combat)

When I unlock something I don't feel "Omg I will do so well with this", I more feel like "These all look equally useless, may aswell put one point into it to advance."

MY Suggestions.

1. Create multiple voice profiles.

2. Reshuffle the talent trees to provide better results.

3. Have more than just the facial features change as you choose dark or light (Voices).

4. Improve the core mechanics of the class so it doesn't feel like i'm collecting focus only to spend it all on 3 moves, then repeat.

5. Make the class better at soloing, I find myself relying on the aid of my Tank companion too much.

6. The concept of holding two weapons tends to go down two paths, one being intense Focus and the other being blinding rage, i'd like to see this reflected in the talent trees for us who chose the path of the Dark Side.

7. This is a general point, abilites for Dark and Light side only. Say when I got to Dark IV i'd like force lightning, one of the Dark Side's most well known abilites.

CONSTRUCTIVE AND/OR CREATIVE CRITICISM ONLY.

Create multiple voice profiles? Are you 13? Do you know how the real world works? How many lines do you think they had to record for the JK story quest alone? How many lines with all the side-quests? Some people literally baffle me with idiocy.

Off top of my head, two of them were BioWares own. Dragon Age: Origins, Awakening and Dragon Age 2. Only remember those because I recently played them ;L

They both had about 4 different voices or something like that and about 100 hours of gameplay each. Now think about it, it took them about 4 years or longer to make SWTOR and about 4 years to make both DA games. Perfectly conceivable.

You could not choose your voice in Dragon Age 1. The main character never spoke.

In Dragon Age 2, it's just the tone that changed a little based on which dialogue options you chose, but it was still the same voice actor. Maybe they could had a small change in the tone through a program for a darker voice, MAYBE.

So, basically, you never chose any story voice in any Dragon Age game.

Therefore, the answers provided before are correct. The money and work involved is astronomical and thus not realistic without a good reason and so far you fail to give one.

Keep in mind they also recorded in French and German. Just swap the files if you want something really different....

Also note each base class and male/female have different voices. In total, there are 16 story voices already. 48 if you count French and German.

Without knowing what level you're at, both of these take care of themselves quite nicely as you progress through the tree.

Specifically, once you fill in the Ataru Form talent chain (piecewise they may not seem all that awesome, but once you have them all you will know it), things start warming up. In addition, the top half of the Combat tree is just chock full of goodies.
