CriticalFlame
I dont use my PC for other games anymore aside from SWTOR and some retro titles on Steam so i'm not looking for some premium GPU but i do want to play the game at ideally high settings smoothly. Any suggestions? Ideally i want to stay under 300 euros (roughly $315)
Whykara
I've been on my trusty Radeon RX480 for years now and I can run SWTOR smoothly on ultra at 1440p (except for Onderon, but that's an optimization issue). This game really isn't that demanding, 300€ will get you a GPU that exceeds all hardware requirements SWTOR can ever have. Rion_Starkiller
The rx-560 is ~4 years old. Up to you if you want to invest in an older graphics card. However, if you want a top of the line graphics card, the GTX 4060 was just released, and it's $300. The 4050 will be released in about a month, and it will cost $250. These two new cards will run circles around most older cards. Edited September 27, 2023 by Rion_Starkiller

Rion_Starkiller
yeah that one. I suppose it's a little over your budget, but it's definitely an amazing card. If you want to wait a little while (1 month?), the less expensive 4050 will be released soon.

Rion_Starkiller
That rx-580 seems overpriced. Of the two you showed me, this one the best deal: https://www.bol.com/nl/nl/p/asus-90yv0hv0-m0na00-videokaart-amd-radeon-rx-560-4-gb-gddr5/9300000109053866/?bltgh=m6MTtfZ0UIW0QB7tGShIZA.2_54.55.ProductTitle Edited September 27, 2023 by Rion_Starkiller
Whykara
At this point it's more the question what fits your budget and your mainboard. SWTOR really doesn't consume that much hardware. The RX560 for example would be totally sufficient.

It's dirt cheap and definitely runs SWTOR on high settings, but it's quite old and I'm not sure how well it would run other games if you ever were to play non retro games. A good compromise would be the RX6600 that came out 2021 and is now available for under 300€. This definitely should fulfill all your needs for the next few years. But do some research and read some reviews, I'm sure you will find the GPU that fits your needs. As I said, SWTOR runs on pretty much anything nowadays.
