wonderhawk Posted December 14, 2011 Share Posted December 14, 2011 This is a big day for gamers; we are still waiting impatiently to play Star Wars: The Old Republic, BioWare’s largest and most ambitious project to date, and we’re very upset that we have to continue to wait to join. It’s a slap in the face to have to watch others play via livestreams and level using the pvp exploit. A huge playerbase of impatient, passionate people at across the world as well as many other gamers in Canada cried their eyes out tonight until they fell asleep waiting to play the game. We want to thank every single one of the development team and their partners for providing one of the worst MMO launches in the history of MMOs; it’s a monumental accomplishment. Another group of people that we depended upon was you, Electronic Arts. We had hundreds of thousands of players spend millions upon millions of hours beta testing this game, then ordered it with the anticipation there would be a grace period. Without you we never would have been able to wait until our box gets here before we can resume play; thank you for your contribution. This game is yours, it's not ours, we get it. And finally we want to emphasize that this is just the beginning of a very long week together. The game is launched, a pvp exploit has been found, but they are not done; it will probably never be done as exploiters are committed to leveling and gaining economic advantage in Star Wars: The Old Republic in order to grief and detroy exemplary service to you, the gamer. It’s going to be a rough ride. Finally, we can only think of one appropriate way to sign off on this auspicious occasion: “Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi.
