Considering the sheer amount of people who do not frequent the forums and were asking over the last couple of days why they cannot do bounty missions anymore makes your statement that this is a dead event no one plays absolutely untrue. If anything the event got a big popularity boost with the latest update and new/returning players coming to the game.
