Obviously avoid making it too close to T7-01 in appearance, ability set, or attitude, since the iconic little fellow shouldn't be cloned, but the Star Wars universe is full of the little buggers, so maybe a couple of others. One of the sassy little dome headed ones like the frequent Republic flashpoint givers, perhaps? Imperial Torture Droid from A New Hope, maybe?
