Show Exploration Quests

If you are new to the game then once u are in the game press M and check the "show exploration quests" on the bottom left. I do not know why they have it off by default.

Probably because only the class quests and planetary quests are required to make sure you level at a rate to match the planet levels. Exploration missions are essentially extra content that's there if you want to do it, but is ancillary to the story and not needed to level at a steady rate.

That doesn't explain why it's off-by-default *and* set-per-character, and it also doesn't explain the "side" missions that have plain yellow triangles and are visible even if this setting is set to hide exploration missions.
