xordevoreaux
Wookipedia says Sith originated on Korriban and migrated to Ziost, and that humans originated on Coruscant or were brought there by the Rakata. So when creating a new Sith character and I read this statement at the top of the screen: https://i.imgur.com/SQWwpVd.png where Sith gave name to the Sith order and humans I don't understand the "and humans" part, does this mean humans are descended from Sith, or that it was just that the Sith were the ones who slapped the term "human" on another species? Eiter
No, Purebloods are a mix of the original Sith species and humans. The formulation is a bit confusing there.
BellumEstBellum
Wookipedia says Sith originated on Korriban and migrated to Ziost, and that humans originated on Coruscant or were brought there by the Rakata. The first humans to come in contact with the Sith 'species' were the original Dark Jedi who were exiled by the Jedi Council. They ended up on Korriban, recognized the Sith as being highly force sensitive, but savage. The dark Jedi manipulated that savagery, taking some of said aliens as slaves, and over time bred with the Sith aliens, and created a new society, based around the dark side of the force. The Sith Purebloods in SWTOR aren't entirely pure, they are part human, and Imperial humans have Sith ancestory as well.

That is, the current species called "pureblood" *aren't* "pure".
Ardrossan
The original Sith had more face tentacles and were generally less human looking. The Dark Jedi who landed on Korriban must have been the original shokushu goukan.
rashencyberspeed
That is, the current species called "pureblood" *aren't* "pure". The species description all but confirms that the red-skinned guys we know today are referred to as Sith Purebloods in order to avoid confusion between references to the species and to the guys who are flinging around lightning.
