On PTS its currently costing almost 100k to remove yellow mods.

While I do agree there should be creditsinks in place, I fear the costs are too high.

Reason nr1 - we are going to swap out mods more often in 6.0

Currently we don't really have to remove mods that often from our gear. After all ....... the shell is just a container that holds the mods. The shell never really had to change.

6.0 brings us back to how SWTOR was at the launch where the set bonus was on the shell. Which is fine. But due to the increased amount of set bonuses we are being pushed to swap out mods more often.

Reason nr2 - nearly doubling the cost is a lot!

going up from 50k credits to 100k is a rather steep increase on itself already.

If you think about it, it's actually a decrease. You no longer have as many paying steps to transfer the items.

before:

1.Pay 52k per mod to remove mods from gear.

2.Insert gear in legacy gear

3. On alt character, par 52k per mod to remove mods from legacy gear.

4. Insert mod into alt's gear.

Total = 104k per mod

Now:

1. Pay 100k per mod to remove mods from gear

2. Insert mods into alt's gear

Total = 100K per mod.

Yellow mods are now Legacy Bound.

you would make for a good accountant eltherax. This is some pretty window dressing you are doing but I think I can outdress you :p

I get what you mean. But the steps are more like:

Gearing alts with gear obtained on main

1. stick legacy gear from alt in the vault

2. remove legacy gear from vault on main

3. pay 52 per mod to remove mods from obtained gear

4. insert mods in legacy gear

5. send the legacy gear back to alt

total price 52k (in 6.0 this will be close to 100k)

if you want to send over older, used mods to alts

1. pay 52 per mod to remove mods from obtained gear

2. insert mods in legacy gear

3. use the mods while fighting

4. obtain new gear and pay 52 per mod to remove mods from obtained gear

5. do step 1 till 5 again

total price 104k per mod (in 6.0 this will close to 100k)

Not sure how 6.0 would reduce the credit costs.

PS: I think I just saved you a lot of credits for current gearing ;)

Reason nr3 - Amplifiers and the cost of Recalibrating.

If I get a +% increase Amplifier for Slicing (and a really good one!) via recalibrating on a character that doesn't have slicing, I'll have to pull it out and send it to an alt that does have Slicing. So add the cost of recalibrating and pulling the mod. Good grief! That's a major credit sink.
