preferred vs sub

I have a friend whom would like to be a preferred player and is considering buying CC to upgrade, but I am wondering will he have use of the mail or trades as a preferred or is that only for subs. These are 2 separate accounts.

Prefs can't send credits through the mail, and even with a guild bank unlock, cannot withdraw credits from a guild bank, only items.

 

Only being slightly sarcastic when I say there's a couple hundred other restrictions after that.

Honestly, if you're going to buy something to get to preferred, might as well do a sub, even for 1 month to see if it is worth it. If not, you'll drop down to preferred when it expires.

Not a bad idea. If he doesn't want to spend that much, spend five bucks and get the preferred bundle, which eases a lot of the restrictions [but only on one character I believe]. Whereas if he goes sub, then clicks on a referral, then later drops down to preferred again, he'll be at level cap, and he'll get the same preferred bundle on all his chars, forever.

 

Preferred can also use Securetrade. I'm unsure if F2P can.

Prefs can't do anything at all with guild bank credits, except for seeing how many the guild has.
