Goodbye SWtoR probably forever

Today, i unsubbed, with 6 days remaning left. I have not logged in much for over the past month or two, and I am done.

I just can't continue to watch the train wreck that BW / EA hits us with every patch.

This game and not been good since f2p was instituted. The game was awesome and fun at launch, even with all it's bugs.

The only saving grace for me in this game, would be if 6.0 was done by another gaming company.

I will now patiently wait for a new Star Wars MMO worthy of the brand.

In beta I loved this game, I pre-purchased, got the Collector's Edition. It's been a sad sight to see the long slow slide of this game.

Fare thee well and may the force be with you all still playing. You definitely need / deserve it.

I gots ta know. Why did you continue playing for more than five years(1) if it was so "not good" all that time?

(1) I started in March 2013, five years ago in a couple of days, and f2p was already there.

I know it's not a question for me but I just want to add my opinion. I quit this game few times and each time around 1 or 2 years long.

Why would I came back? Simple answer cause I do miss the lightsaber weapon and there is NO OTHER starwars game out there. I do not happy with the game but i'm not willing give it up LOL If there another SWTOR game out there from different company I would leave this game in a blink of an eye.

If you're looking for a lightsabre, you might try Guild Wars 2 with the Path of Fire expansion, and equip / reskin a Holosmith's Sword.(1) Stowed, it looks a little different. When swung, it leaves a wicked cool effect.

No, GW2 isn't Star Wars, but it is evidence that SWTOR isn't the only MMORPG with a lightsabre.

(1) Train an Engineer to level 80, then train 30 more hero points and activate the Holosmith elite specialisation.
