Decos: NPC People Packs

Virtual Kenner Star Wars Action figure sets as Decos to fill up our Strongholds....

I just want more NPC type people to populate my stronghold. The game is full of amazingly cool characters walking around very unique to their location and yet we have so little to chose from. So far I have one of every NPC made and you can't really repeat the same ones.

For Example I would pay 2500 cc's for

1. A cantina collection of NPC's that included band members playing instruments

2. Planetary themed NPC's for example 'the Hoth pack' which include Otolan's, Chiss, White Maw, etc.'

They are all over the game why not round some up and sell them as people packs.

Exactly.

Yes!

I'm sure this would be easy money for Bioware, particularly with the new Manaan (?) Stronghold about to go online. Personnel is the category of decorations most in need of new "items," and there are hordes of NPC assets in the game that could be reused as Stronghold decorations.

To add the OP's suggestions, I'd love to see more Jedi and Sith personnel for those with a Jedi or Sith Temple theme for their personnel or guild strongholds. Right now for a Jedi Temple for instance, there are only two NPCs you can use; A male Kel Dor Jedi master and a human female padawan. Why not release packs that have several of the Tython and Korriban Jedi Masters, Sith Lords, Padawans and Acolytes in a varity of species, released as Stronghold assets? I'm not talking about major characters like Satele or the Overseer from the Sith Warrior story, but rather those background decoration NPCs you see decorating the Tython or Korriban temples. Surely Jedi and Sith personnel packs would be popular items on the Cartel Market.

Likewise there could be an Underworld Personnel pack with a collection of Smuggler, Bounty Hunter, Black Maw, ect NPCs for Underworld themed Strongholds, and Republic and Imperial Military packs with a variety of Republic and Imperial military personnel that aren't already in the game as decos (uniformed officers not in body armor, Republic SIS, Imperial Intelligence, Havoc Squad, Chiss Ascendancy allies, ect)

Exactly! How can you have a Manaan Stronghold without some Selkath around. Add some visiting Nautolins and a few Mon Cal or two and now you have an immersive experience.

To date very very few Manaan decos have been made. One incredibly rare computer console and a just as rare mirror type device. They only dropped when the planets flashpoint was new.

Like most others: My Tat stronghold is farm based, Yavin is where all my temple artifacts go, and of course Nar Shaddaa is a casino. What will Manaan be?

Give me NPC decoration packs and I'll give you real money!

* Wild and Exotic -- Males and females of every alien race.

* Party People -- Singers, musicians, dancers, and chatty NPCs from all the worlds and races.

* Cantina Crawlers -- Gamblers, smugglers, brawlers, drunkards, and miscreants of all types.

* Temple Staff -- A large variety of Jedi, Sith, padawans, and apprentices.

* Battlefield Set -- Snipers, speeder-riders, troops scanning with macrobinoculars, and other busy soldiers.

* Excited Mob -- Cheering, jeering, waving, and clapping NPCs who might be in your throne room or at your pod race.

* Civilian Pack -- Ordinary civilians, children, politicians, and other NPCs that don't fit into other categories.

* Sitting Set -- A variety of people in the sitting position that can be placed on existing furniture, plus NPCs in chairs.

* Engineering Crew -- People welding, tinkering, typing, and otherwise doing the grunt work of the galaxy.

* Robot Rally -- Serving droids, astromechs, robo-bartenders, and other robots doing the various welding and service animations.

I also use female Togruta, Waitress and "Bartender" as Jedi.

As for the Sith I use Revanites (someone once had the nerve to make fun of it, typical of an ignoramus having zero idea of the effort behind it, though technically he was right, those are no Sith)

I used the Togruta and the Waitress as Jedi, or more specifically padawans, in my Jedi themed Stronghold as well. So long as you don't mouse over them they work out well enough visually. It would be nice to have some more personnel however so players wouldn't have to improvise as much when trying to stick to a theme.

On that note I was playing through Shadow of Revan yesterday and I noticed there was a random Jedi NPC on Yavin using his lightsaber to deflect blaster bolts from a couple of hovering training droids. It was a cool animation, and one I'd love to see find it's way into a personnel pack. We need more NPCs performing actions and there are plenty in the game that could be repurposed for Stronghold decorations.
