The "canon" (not sure what Disney did with the Rebels stuff) timeline is that *the* Darksaber was invented about a thousand years before the Episode IV film. The game is set about 3650 years before the film, and therefore about 2650 years before the invention / creation of the Darksaber. That makes it a *huge* anachronism.
