Trying to limit everyone else's options, to comply with your narrow-minded view of the way people should behave, is reprehensible. If you don't like the option, don't take it. The option to flirt with same gender characters comes later in the game for some classes. If you don't like flirting, there is no requirement to flirt with anyone. There's very little practical/numeric advantage to starting a relationship. If you wish there were more romance options, join the club.
