Will we see other brand new companions? still want my Voss male and Yoda comp

or can we only expect to only discover the remaining missing companions from each class?

 

I really do hope we can get more variety of new companions, and I mean brand new ones, new characters, as well as old ones. I still badly want a Yoda companion and a male Voss companion too..

 

and I wouldn't mind a female Cathar or a a different Togruta to Ashana.

 

Any one remember if they confirmed or menetioned brand new ones would be coming? or we just only expecting the return of the existing ones?

Dont hold your breath on a yoda comp, there are strict guidelines on what they are allowed to be used for.

what sort of guidelines/restrictions are there? we did get one in the storyline so far, Oteg, surely having one help you out or in mentor/counsel you shouldn't be a problem - we are in need of a Sage consular companion anyway, i think it's the only class type companion not available currently

The consular already got 1 companion back Qyzen Fess.

 

This is the complete list per class for the companions, there are some that don't have any.

 

Imperial Side:

Agent : Scorpio, Eckard Lokin.

Inquisitor : Xalek, Talos Drellik.

Warrior : Major Pierce.

Bounty Hunter : None.

 

Republic Side

Trooper : Yunn, M1-4X;

Knight : T7-01.

Consular : Qyzen Fess.

Smuggler : None.

 

The only one that we know for sure that it will be in the next chapter is from the Agent companions, Kaliyo which will put the agent in the lead with 3 companions.

Don't worry OP they are coming soon in gambling pack to a Cartel Market near you. :D

 

Also as others have said there are only certain species and lore that SWTOR is allowed to use. :)

There will never be a "Yoda race" companion and for that you can be 100% sure.

Actually, this may well change, given Disney owns Star Wars now...

 

However, back when the game was being designed, Oteg required special permission from Lucas to include. He has always strongly protected the "Yoda" species for whatever reason.

 

My understanding from stuff released when the game came out is that Oteg was the only allowed "Yoda" species in the game, without further permission. But since Disney owns it now, that of course can change.

You forgot Blizz, hes coming out with Kaliyo. Bowdaars coming out in the one after.

yes, and i'm sure Lucasfilm really makes all the decisions about all that stuff anyway.. just that they're now owned by disney...i'm guessing Disney has put whoever manages the star wars franchise as the head of Lucasfilm. and don't bioware consult with these guys on things?

Yeah Disney owns the rights to SW that doesn't mean they are going to go against the creator wishes on "Yoda" species. Maybe after GL is thrown down reactor shaft; Disney will allow it but I doubt it will happen before that.

When he said 'consular sage companion', he wasn't talking about the classes.

 

We've never had a force healing companion. Every single healer up to 4.0 was tech-based. Of course, now we do, since all companions can heal. So Lana can be Tank Juggernaut or DPS Juggernaut or Sorcerer healer.

Bowdaar was supposed to come with this one and was delayed, no way to be sure that it won't be delayed again.

 

I highly doubt Bioware will delay the EC once again. They are already aware that they are running on borrowed time, with many people already completing the influence grind on a companion/their specialists. I have two characters at 20/20/20/20, even when taking a break for close to six weeks. I can only assume that anyone who has played constantly since KotFE released, even just for four-six hours a week, could easily have a maxed out character by now. They can't delay the EC any further since they are perfectly aware that people are running out of stuff and "fancy bling bling".

The only "lizard warrior" I can think about in the Inquisitor story is Skeesk. I'm totally oblivious to any other "lizard warrior" too.

 

and I don't see what was so great about him anyway...

 

btw.. did they change the Voss male models? the one on fleet supplies section for planetary common crystals exchange seems different. like the hallmark long neck/adam's apple was gone - which was another unique aspect of the humanoid model..will have to fly to Voss and check.

 

but Voss and Yoda could give a Voss consular force wielder companion - especially with Sana Rae in your alliance, would be nice to have a male Voss mystic available.. like the one in the Jedi Consular story.. hmm.. htey should bring that one back - I always thought it would be cool to have all of the Consular's team available as companions
