She may have decided to never use the force. Never mind that she's much older now, so it could be the reason we don't see her with a lightsaber. The flashed to her showing her wincing much like Obi-wan did when he felt the deaths of millions on Alderaan. She knew Hans had just died and I believe mouthed his name as she sat. If she is trained in the force, it was by her brother and she's kept it hidden for one reason or another. I guess we'll find out as the story progresses further on in episodes 8 and 9. I'm sure that she's picked up how to sense those close to her even if she hasn't trained. Remember neither Snoke or Kylo refer to her as a Jedi.
