Give us Pazaak!!

Pazaak would be a fun diversion while waiting for flashpoints/WZs to pop. There are two problems I see with Pazaak in this game:

1) Gamblers who would use it to illegally gamble. Probably not worth the grief for BioWare.

2) Some math wizard would write a long post on the forums showing the objectively best deck and then everyone would run that deck. If you're not running that specific deck, you'd just get smashed. This would probably make the game boring.

Well, it was a thought..... More content is always good in any fashion. I was around for open beta and I can say half the suggestions never made it. When you talk interract with a logo and not with the devs...things usually don't get done until they see user activity drop. Back in the COH/COV days you had the Devs on the forums...and in the game playing... I can say of all the MMOs I have played....the SWTOR community is about the angriest, doom and gloom, negative bunch I have seen on forums. That reflects a lot of the failures this game has put out.

As far as business for cantinas....I know troll bait when I smell it....but I'll bite. It means absolutely nothing.....was just making a reference to where they should put the side game....

This is the biggest reason why I don't see pazaak happening is due to online gambling. But the point is would it meet the definition of online gambling? If you're playing against other players it would be for credits which is virtual currency and not real life currency. But does gambling with virtual currency even count as gambling?

You say that because you are currently playing this game. For many people (including you, I warrant), the definition of "worst MMO community" is "the community of the game I am currently playing."

Apparently your detector is faulty.

The only way I see around this is to play only NPCs only for credits like the original KOTOR games did it. This owuld kind of suck since it would most likely be more fun playing against another player.

Hell, I gamble more with cartel coins (even purchased a few with real $$) and the random contents of packs more than an in game Pazaak could ever offer.

I could see where incorporating Pazaak into game COULD be online gambling if it weren't controlled.... But really....if the "betting" portion were removed and instead they "rewarded" matches won (maybe even based on skill or W/L of opponent) then I don't see where gambling plays in at all. It would simply be more of a PvP match at a virtual table rather than an arena?

Or they could make the pazaak game with those Lottery coins instead of winning real cash credits?

Just not as useless as the slot were , where you had to sink so much to get so little . Because Pazaak is a fun game and should be added because it's fun not to gain money .

So you never attended the casino events in SWTOR????

Never bought a Cartel pack for real money????

Gambling has been alive and well in SWTOR for years

The whole gambling excuse has been disproven 100 times over now

Stop beating the dead horse

Online gambling a problem huh? You're talking about the same game that has you buy Cartel Coins with real money to use in the Cartel Market on packs of things that may or may not have the stuff you want in them. Most likely not.

BW and EA are unconcerned with online gambling. Not only that, you would be using in game credits. They aren't real.

I have wanted this in the game since I heard of its inception. I don't understand why they haven't implemented this and pod racing to give us something to do with one another that doesn't involve doing heroics we have done many many times before or PvP which not everyone is into, and seems to have long wait times.

I second the motion for them to put this in the game!
