Legacy Possessions Outfits Bloodguard (no longer obtainable-will be again after 4.0)

Legacy Possessions Outfits Sharp Dresser (no longer obtainable-will be again after 4.0)

Player Vs. Player Alderaan Damage and Deaths Alderaan Civil War: Punching Bag (unobtainable)

Player Vs. Player General Miscellaneous Life of the Party (unobtainable for players without Party Jawa)

Player Vs. Player Huttball Damage and Deaths Huttball: The Pin Cushion (There is a typo there - you need 15 deaths instead of 10)

 

 

I also want to name few of near to impossible to obtain achievements that are not bugged but deserve some adjustment. Be aware that I want to be reasonable and I don't want to add here achievements that take lots of time and patience and are actually obtainable and are also obtained by a lot of players, such as dig 100 special treasures with seeker droids, infect 1000 players during rakghoul resurgence event, etc...

 

I am speaking about truly near to impossible to obtain achievements that are generally in Player vs Player section such as Solo Kills, Total Kills, and Killing Blows in every warzone type, including but not limited to these: 50 times of 10 Solo Kills, 50 times of 20 Killing Blows and 50 times of 55 Total Kills.

Yes, for example I have 40/50 times of 55 Total Kills in Voidstar so it's definitelly not impossible to do this (I also saw ppl with 50/50), but there are warzones like Ancient Hypergate where it is. Also I never ever saw a person with 50 times of 10 Solo Kills in any warzone type. All these achievements are not only super hard to obtain, they also promote no objective play but mindless killing.

I would recommend to either make them give 0 points (like many others hard or no longer obtainable achievements) or at least lower them to something like this: 50 times of 3 Solo Kills, 50 times of 10 Killing Blows and 50 times of 40 Total Kills for example. Then they would still take a lot of time to do but at least be obtainable.

 

I am also aware of the fact that achievements are something that not many players are interested in so they are too low on list of priorities for developers. I know that. But seriously, how much time would take to at least adjust the points of unobtainable achievements to zero? I already made the work and listed them so you know which need to be adjusted. I can imagine it could take literally minutes to adjust few values if you know where to look in your code.

 

What are your opinions on this subject? Or do you have any achievements I forgot to mention? I want to keep this list updated.

The 25 points for Galactic Beastmaster isn't a bug; there's another, hidden Achievement worth 25 points in the Location/General/Exploration section. See here.

 

Agree/concur on the rest.

 

Thx I didn't know that. I will take it from the list. I also like the name of that hidden achievement Data Mining, it could give the legacy title Data Miner, that would be a great title in context of current days. :p

Can't support reducing the achievement points for something no longer obtainable to zero however. Just because I was subscribed at the right time to get the Party Jawa and I've completed the Tat mission and I'm still on the way towards "kill 500 players whilst partying with the Jawa" - shouldn't mean I should ahve those achievements reduced to zero.

The majority of players are not going to get even a small percentage of the "PvP" achievements for each planet - so it's not as if they were looking at 100% and it's these unobtainable items stopping them.

Well you would still have those achievements done they would only not count towards 100%. You would still be able to show other players you have something they will never have, this doesn't change that. Or would you be more happy if they remove these no longer obtainable achievements altogether like they are doing it with Makeb Weekly?

 

They already set the precedens they can lower the points to zero or remove achievement completely. So I support the first option as this makes a compromise between both sides. Those that have achievement done can keep it and those that don't and are no more able to do it can have 100%, too.

 

Btw I am one of those small percentage you speaking about. I am aiming for 100%, I have planetary pvp achievements done, seriously, it's not so hard to do it with 4-5 or more friends they take literally hours to do. But I don't have Party Jawa so I can never complete that Tatooine achievement. At least they can make it so grouping with player that has Party Jawa will count too.

Pin Cushion and Highly Expendable are both obtainable. Huttball needs 15, not 10. It's just a typo on the achievement.

 

Well I see Ancient Hypergate: Highly Expendable also needs 15 deaths so there is not even a typo. I can't imagine how bad must be a player to die 15 times there. I play pvp for 2.5 years and don't have it. Another achievement that just promote super bad play. But if it is working as intended I'll remove it from the list of course. Thx for info anyway.

I think that the whole achievement system needs an overhaul. It is long overdue. Someone apparently is working on it atm, because they take away some achievements like the Connection ones on Makeb. They only have to look at their metrics and see which ones they should fix, which ones delete and which ones they should add.

 

For example, they have achievements which are connected to the first cartel packs shipment. For example the pets or speeders from those packs. But they completely forgot about it since the second pack. It makes no sense to have achievements for that one shipment only. Either they continue achievements for all cartel market related stuff or none at all. It is obvious that this was planned, but then forgotten or not continued. I wouldn't mind if they add new achievements for all shipments or take them down.

 

As for the Party Jawa achievements: Since it says that they are party jawa achievements, I think they should remain as they are. I wouldn't mind if they count as 0 points though.

Add in to this that any returning player after SOR who did not log in after the 55 cap was put in place has no achievements for Legacy Level, Planet locations, Story quests complete, Planetary Heroics, Datacrons, Story Boss kills, Vehicles.....honestly i could be here all day with how borked my achievement log is and how many CC i am unable to obtain because the CM is way more important than actual bugs that have existed for over a year.

Galactic Datacron Master is broken. I have all Codex entries, had to make a Pub toon and a lvl 60 friend escorted me around for taris, balmorra and courascant. Again, I have all codex entries now 1-93 and no title/decos, or achieve.

 

Do you also have both fleet datacrons? I am pretty sure they are not needed though, just a tip. I also heard customer support sometimes help to tell players what they are missing so you can always open a ticket to cs. But also check first if you have all that planetary datacron achievements completed, maybe some datacron didn't count for some strange reason and you will have to do it again.

 

Actually i am pretty sure your problem is with some of the datacrons that have same codex entries but there are physically two of them. For example the willpower ones on Correlia. There is a republic and imperial version both with same codex entry number 79. You get the entry if you have just one of them but for Datacron Master you need both of them.

Actually there was implemented a mechanism that automatically checked all these achievements during period 2.0 to 2.1. If you didn't logged during that period of game you have to do it manually by contacting customer support. I know that's not very comfortable for this part of players but it's the only way currently to get them if you don't want to repeat them again.

Can somebody please do something about achievements? I am allso not able to do achievements that need Party Jawa. I am playing game allmost 3 years and only thing left to do is go for achievements. And please lower number of killing blows and kills for warzones since that is impossible to get, especialy on higher lvl-s.
