Spetulhu Posted August 27, 2015 Share Posted August 27, 2015 Crew skill missions can grant gifts (or currency for gifts). Diplomacy, Investigation, Treasure Hunting and Underworld Trading IIRC. Treasure Hunting sometimes turns up gifts but often fragments that you then can use to buy nice stuff from the Curators on the fleet. The others always result in random gifts. You'll save a lot of credits since many of the better companion gifts are overpriced on the GTN. Sort of O/T but the companion gift mechanic should have never made it into the game. It was a terrible idea. Accessing story content shouldn't be reliant on players having to purchase gifts to raise a companion character's affection.
