Strive-US Posted July 3, 2015 Share Posted July 3, 2015 Darth Vader is supposed to be incredibly powerful, but there isn't a lot of movie or TV material demonstrating his abilities (Anakin Skywalker had many accomplishments, but that was pre-Vader). It seems by the time of Anakin's reemergence as Vader, most of the Jedi and other serious threats have already been neutralized. So exactly what feats of strength, powerful opponents, etc. really tested Vader's abilities and where did they happen (I assume books or comics). Selenial Posted July 3, 2015 Share Posted July 3, 2015 He hasn't really duelled anyone of that high calibre, nor has he fought anyone in strenuous force battles. The only exception to this is Galen Marek, but he was considered strong before he fought Galen. It's mainly his insane feats against armies of foot soldiers that made him impressive to start with, huge Telekinetic showings among other things. It is quite good and IMHO the only storyplot that is acutally showing a fair version of Vader. As for "he hasn't fought strong foes", does this even count, after all he is the only Sith Lord who is literally a Jedi massmurderer? By the way Starkiller is not Cannon anylonger, so there was no encounter and no history between the two. What were his achievents? His will and raw potential are unmached by neiter Sith nor Jedi. He wasn't wise though, never needed the finese to master the force. He is blunt force. Vader was also some mastermind as well in his own kind. He was a excelent manhunter.
