Because there are already far too many other "phoning home" apps out there ... Some even disguise themselves as "cleaners" ... They go on Amazon for $80 and come from Japan, which I assume still has them as they are all brand new. I bought a beat up CE minus the statue for $35 on ebay and got one that way. I'm so happy with it because I do not have a smart phone and don't trust the emulators. They should really bring them back, having an actual authenticator is . . . neat. I don't know, I just like it.
