Standardizing Colour Crystals (Artifice)

This suggestion has to do with standardizing colour crystal crafting and making the research options interesting. (Part of this will depend on if effects can be applied to a random weapon's animations dynamically or if they have to be tied to that weapon's art asset)

 

Problem

Most low level players will be concerned with equipping +41 colour crystals these days. Existing artifice colour crystals aren't going to be attractive to them. There is no incentive to swapping out crystals multiple times throughout the character's lifespan when you can get the maximum stats from the start.

 

Suggestion

Make all colour crystals +41 to their stat by default. Research would now have a chance to learn that colour crystal's variants: luminosity, proc, or effect.

 

Rarity would decide the intensity of the crystal's specific visual style.

Premium (Green): Standard intensity

Prototype (Blue): 1.5-3x intensity

Artifact (Purple) : 6-8x intensity

 

Effects

Idle effects (similar to the sabers with effects in the game)

Procs

Sabers: Visual flares with crits, blocks,etc.

Blaster weapons: Unstable bolts

 

Luminosity

Strength of colour/bloom
