The_Grand_Nagus
I heard from a very reliable source that the crossguard saber actually failed the IQ test. Edited December 25, 2014 by The_Grand_Nagus

Sarfux
Ok then. People said the same thing about the double bladed lightsaber. I think force users are a little smarter than to cut off their own wrists
Kaedusz
I think force users are a little smarter than to cut off their own wrists Hence they would never use a crossguard.. duh..
Lordkoon
Hence they would never use a crossguard.. duh.. One would say , you should never use burning blades for juggling or you will set yourself on fire. Yet I can swear I'v seen people do it and survive. Point is the sith guy with the crossguard probably developed his own saber style revolving around his 'special' weapon design. Tonev
Saber been around longer than you think. It was in a comic book I read depicting some Jedi in the temple http://i.stack.imgur.com/rgZHI.jpg It will be revealed soon. I'm more interested in how all the canon of Star Wars has been changed like the home world of the Sith is not Korriban but Moraband.

The first time it was called Moraband was over 3500 years since it was called Korriban. I'm guessing the name/pronouncation changed a little over the years.
