Multiple 50s crew skills question

So 12x exp has given me plenty of fresh 50s with no crew skills. Any suggestions on how to capitalize on these to make maximum credits?

Match crew skills to companion +crit chance bonuses (Dulfy has a great guide on companion crew skill bonuses), and make sure to have at least one of everything. Even if a skill is less than desirable right now, it is usually worth it to have everything covered.

Otherwise, gathering skills like bio, scav and slicing are always good to have multiples, and bio and scav can be leveled super fast and cheap by just aoe-ing beats / droids in heroic areas and harvesting.

Of course all can be leveled by simply running missions, and you should come out far ahead of costs simply selling off the mats as you level.

Thanks for the tip! Frankly, I just want to make a decent bit of credits with little effort just taking advantage of all the empty crew skill spaces and high affection companions.

Underworld Trading through Metals and Treasure Hunting through power crystals should earn you a noticeable amount(probably around a million) during the process of leveling it. Slicing is also easy credits at max.

If you're talking about making what's best for credits after you've maxed the skill, that really depends on the level of involvement you want. If you're regularly cycling all the characters to maximize your gathering, they need to be different skills otherwise you'll saturate the market and kill prices(killing your profit margin as a result).

Minimal involvement, I'm not looking to take over any markets just want a few credits to play around with.

It's not really needed to "maximize credits," but back in the day there were some extensive stickies around here analyzing which were the optimal classes for each crafting skill based on the companion bonuses.

Until you figure out something better to do, just slap three gathering skills on all of them and set them all gathering 24x7, and sell all the mats. It might not be the most lucrative thing you can do, but it will get them making money without excessive startup costs.

You also probably could do reasonably well making trash green leveling mods or gear for the 10-40 range, given how the supply on the GTN has been drained by people leveling on the 12x bonus. You don't even need to RE for blues, just gather mats and turn out tons of green trash nonstop and dump it on the market.

Check the prices for crafting mats on the GTN. It may vary every week depending on what is in demand for Conquests, but the prices on level 5, 6, and 9 Archeology and Scavenging mats, and the prices for level 6 and 9 Bioanalysis mats, have all been at record levels ever since the Conquest system launched.
